Does anyone have the problem of their phone cutting out while they are talking? People say my voice sounds all gurgled and they can't understand what I am saying. Also when I call some people they can hear me but I can't hear them.
Sounds like it might be a network issue try to do the hands free activation and update Profile and Prl That might fix or help

Hey guys, I recently got a S2x. It's been great, however I've run into a problem today..
I tend to disable 3G/data to save battery and stay on EDGE however this afternoon after I turned on 3G again, my phone just doesn't connect back onto 3G and is stuck on EDGE..
Does anyone have a problems like this?
Wrong forum bud flaming starts soon... nd for data? I say try rebooting then changing it to WCDMA ONLY then if it catches 3G then it should work then switch bsck

Yes wrong place to ask...but before dismissing you away....
Try turning airplane mode on instead, and forget about that data stuff. You shouldn't be having apps that are hungry for updating all the time anyway.
Sorry about wrong forum..
Anyone has any idea though?.. It was worrking perfectly fine until this afternoon when i switched on data again..
No one help him/her.
OP, I don't know what you think of these forums, but rules are to be respected and followed. This is such a basic question that really needs to be in the Q/A section. Period. This section is for development work only, even says so in the title.
It would have been better if you searched for your question, but you didn't even look for the appropriate forum.
/thread end.

Hey its okay you made a mistake dont worry about it. Listen if you look at the top of the development fourm where you posted this it tells you who the moderators are. pm one of them and ask them to move this thread to the q&a fourm. People here are a little touchy when it comes to posting in the wrong fourm because well you know they are perfect and dont make mistakes.
For some reason my phone isn't receiving sms. It only happens with certain numbers, as I can receive ones from other people. And I can still get a mms message from one of the numbers I can't get sms from. I've tried different roms, different text apps,I don't know what could be causing it. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing it?

You have enough posts to know that questions go in QA. Not general.
As far as your issue, you give no real details at all making it impossible to help you. Who is your provider? Have you tried consulting them?

I haven't been on XDA for months and my phone is severely deprived. I believe the last time I flashed a rom was back in October. Well since then, it has been very very slow. I've rejected countless updates that Sprint has tried pushing to me but it has been nagging me for too long and I finally have some time to get things caught up.
So...in short...what's new? What's the latest and greatest rom that you guys would recommend that I try? Anything else new that I have missed in the past few months as far as groundbreaking tweaks and all that? I'm constantly dropping calls lately for whatever reason...
Umm....yeah
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2321867
Also, dropped calls very likely means that LTE is being expanded/upgraded in your area so be happy that they're dropping !
^ That looks like a great rom and it's a very cool port but I'm looking for something less hands-on that doesn't require me to stay up to date with constant flashing.
Just look around...?

I didn't see this talked about throughout the T-Mobile Version of the Galaxy S4 yet, and just wanted to know if it is even possible. I wanted to know if it is possible to edit what you can interact with when the S-View cover is on.
For example when using the S-View cover, you can't gain access to music controls or even swipe away email or sms notifications. You can only answer and end calls, which isn't bad considering that you even get that, but I feel the functionality would be so much better had the music controls been enabled.
No. I am uaing it too. And I dont see any option. Because I think its somthing related to hardware of s4. Not software.
I flashed GE of 4.2.2 and it was still working.

No hardware just detects it software can do whatever once it is detected
Samsung specifically enabled it in the GE too

Yeah this is what I was thinking as well, there has to be some file that can be fabricated to get other functionality out of it. Unfortunately I'm not an software engineer nor do I have any knowledge in software development. I just brought the idea to the table since I see not a lot of people if any are having the concern.

If anyone out there is good at flashing phones, could you please message me and help me out? It would be greatly appreciated. :fingers-crossed:

Sounds like you want to activate a new phone and activate your old phone for him and this should be in Q&A.

We mostly do android development around here. Plus what your asking can also reach into taboo topics on this forum. You might wanna look elsewhere on a different forum for that.
Edit: Ok, i'm gonna be nice (mods don't yell at me) First of I AM NOT going to explain how, but I will tell you what you need to do. You need to look into what is called ESN swapping. You need to be aware that this subject is in a legal grey area and is not discussed very openly and not at all on this forum. My recommendation would be to find another carrier that supports using that phone without changing the ESN. They are out there, and sometimes cheaper. Good luck with whatever you do, but trying to get this phone on your carrier involves things we don't discuss here and that are possibly illegal.
Again, mods, i'm just being nice, but trying to stay within the rules.
Okay, Thanks!
