Well actually it all depending on sprint. Not samsung, I would say march at latest since we just had jb update not to along ago. But hopefully we get soon, and its not like in the epic we just got left behind because of new phones.

I would think relatively the soon the leaks and update coming out for the epic touch are all 4.1.2 based. And I was running it for the last month made me contemplate upgrading to the s3

That really shows the type of people that go through the forums. Once they installed their first 2 or 3 roms and kernels, and looked through 4 pages of android development, they feel they know everything. I really wish dj could leak that final Frosty rom update one day...

And all over battery life. Mine us great, but even have had bad days where battery just drained. To many factors to say its the rom. And why argue it there. I dont undersrand sone people. They just want a fight.

It was the fact that 5 people were commenting on the same darn thing that wasn't even related to the rom. That's what PMing is for bros.

I agree. I was using Wicked for a long time and decided to give Frosty a try, and I loved it. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I also have great battery life with it. I will keep using it for a while. Hopefully DJ will come back.
What was the persons name that insulted DJ, I'll get 'em... I think DJ will be back, he loves this way too much, one way or another he'll be back.

I couldn't post on the original tred and I wanted to say that frosty rom is the smoothest rom of all for me with no problems at all of any kind and I tried them all. It behaves the way just I want it. Thank you Mr. Dev and god bless you.

So he took his ball and went home. Don't worry about the thousands that love your work and your ROM (myself included by the way), just the handful that criticize it.

I am saddened by what has gone down. I remember a time when post where constructive and not a pissing match. Unfortunately with more and more people come here and join the chances of this happening grows.
I know the frustration of seeing someone complain about something know to be issues or someone thinking it's a problem with the rom when no one else has issues. Just remember we where all noobs at one time or another and remember that one person that helped you out with something vs the person that flamed you for not knowing.

I'm seeing the same thing happening in other development threads, and my fear is that it's going to force the XDA mods to lock the entire site to developers only.

Nooooooooo!!! Hope not. I've been using XDA forever. I'm not a Dev or a noob, but I contribute my findings and help when I can!

I was that at one point also, when the G1 came out and JesusFreke was making roms, and people had to use ADB to obtain root and be able to flash things. I learned since then and read and read and read. The problem now a days is that most don't care to read a little, or at all. Most of the questions asked in a thread are answered, or been discussed, or don't even belong in the dev section. This is extremely aggravating to the devs, or themers, when they right up a huge OP and no one uses it, and just clutters up their dev thread with useless questions and/or nonconstructive criticism. I don't blame him for quitting or locking the thread, if people feel it's at its prime, then leave it alone and don't touch it anymore. Most of the TouchWiz roms have the best version yet to come, or they came and went a while ago. Most of the mods they incorporated are flashable on your own, anyways. Thank him and respect decisions, or use one of the other 10+ TouchWiz roms.

Haha don't exaggerate while there are a few dummies out there, most of us are well behave at the end of the day we are the consumers.

Jesusfreke was the pioneer of modding for Android. Without him I believe that we would not be as far with android as devs, manufacturers, or even android its self.
Look at thouchwiz its self with the toggles in the notification Window. This came from cm. We the community can end up pushing for devs with true innovation to go back underground where their work is not seen in mass people, Google, or manufacturers. Then android may end up missing what could become greatness all for petty arguments. I follow one such dev in a private forum and it's a shame he was forced to by thing like this.

Hey guys,
I let this thread go for awhile (I was logged on when he created it) and you all have said your piece/peace, in an almost professional manner which I for one appreciate very much. But now it is time for this OT thread to be closed. I do invite you to the Official OT thread to continue this discussion, as a few have already been doing.
Thanks you for being civil about it, but the time for this thread has expired.

Ok, i am very comfortable flashy roms now to the point where it is second nature. Now, like i use to with the OG epic, i am ready to play with kernels. Is there a sticky anywhere or a place i can go where they are easily found and compared? Thanks in advance and pardon my ignorance if i missed something...

There's only like 4 or five. It's all in the Android Original Development section. That section isn't very...crowded.
Thank you very much. I also just noticed that the goodness rom had them included in their rom!!

And as The Root said there are very few. Make sure they match your ROM whether it be AOSP or TW.
Also make sure they are for the Sprint GS3, do not flash a kernel that is not specifically for the Sprint variant.

Thanks all....Im on the KToonez one now...not particularly sure or let alone aware of what it is doing but im using it nonetheless. I have only been using it since about my last post so i guess i will soon find out...
So it seems that things aren't prefect for the note 2.
I've had this phone for 4 months now with sporadic voting of text but I haven't encountered the big yet. There were a couple of spontaneous restarts but I'm not sure if it's related to the bug.
Any details on how to prevent this from happening?
Oh snap! I don't have a witty tapatalk signature!

The copy/paste bug was fixed a few updates ago. I believe in v.4.1.2. I had the reboot issue quite often with copy and paste, but not since that update. I wish I could give you the firmware version, but Samsung has put out so many that I don't know which fixed it.
What version are you on now?

The Dlk7 one. I've had a couple of problems but not too much. I've experienced it once.

Every time I fry to flash a new Rom I can't find it on my drive even though it is definitely there. I've been flashing since my G1 and have never had this problem. I suppose I could use Odin but u don't want to. Anyone else see this?

An obvious one, but check to make sure which storage you're using, internal / external...?
