+1 And starting multiple threads with "sub" as a title is a joke.

Yeah, you can ask and we are not forced to help you neither. Stop raging at people here because your a lazy little fat di*k. We are not your slaves.
Why do we have search engines as google, bing, yandex?
Why do we have a search function in this website?
Why do we have threads, sticky threads with usefull info, why do we have detailed guide threads?
You can do a little research yourself and read a few threads. Wont take you more THAN 5 minutes to figure out your questions
You caused so much drama for this little information. Here, you cant use a custom kernel with locked bootloader

Locked bootloader = Stock kernels only...
If u want custom kernels...u need to unlock your bootloader... :good:
Nd this is not a troubleshooting forum...its actually a developer forum....
Nd no matter what forum... Being rude can get you banned...just sayin..

You cannot flash kernels with a locked bootloader
There are no available kernels for locked bootloader
So please stop whining like a child.

It's not really that people assume everyone is a man, it's that "he" is the standard for when you don't know the other person's gender. Similar to why we say "mankind" not "womankind"

helps to find someone to mentor you...to help you learn and teach you...you also need to start simple "customise a rom" or port one but LEARN as you do it...also google will help alot....but it's pointless following a guide IF you dont know wtf your doing you need to learn and remember things.....simple way to learn is to follow the make your own recovery guide i made....

LOL, okay for one don't get pissy around here, especially to someone that has far more experience with the site than you do.. That's very frowned upon at xda. Yes you are a noob, and in the video it said do not click the new thread button unless what you are asking cannot be found in a thread that already exists, and if the thread doesn't directly answer your question, don't make a new thread. Ask the damn question in a thread that already exists or pm a member that looks like they know what they are doing. But do NOT make a new thread unless it is absolutely necessary. You have no idea how many threads like this are being made that do not need to be made. We are getting sick of them. All it takes is a few minutes of looking around. Hell whenever you named this thread when you first created it the search system showed you similar threads that have already been made.
Use the search system.
Look around.
Don't click the new thread button unless you are 100% sure that there are no threads that answer your question.
EDIT : Also, DO NOT make stupid threads, like how do I use XXX's toolkit or something like that. The xda community will not spoon feed noobs. You guys have to learn like we did. Trial and error. Trust me. Once you learn how to use things without having to ask questions you will feel better.

You're not familiar with humour and sarcasm, I see..
Or maybe you aren't a native English speaker.
Whatever the reason, you should try to keep at least the first post grammatically correct, etc.
I'm aware that this is an unofficial discussion thread (please correct me if I'm wrong), and I prefer discussing things directly with RaymanFX

Yes well that's why his thread just got cleaned, so we better keep the discussing here and the developing in the development thread. Let's hope people with trivial questions will find the way to this thread now.
Okay,in my opinion, development thread for a custom Rom development is only to discuss or tell something like this eg. "There are xx bugs in xx,here is xx as evidence" like that
This discussion thread is for people that wanna discuss about the title custom Rom eg. "We can add xx in this Rom" or "The devs should put xx in this Rom etc."
So,I approve this thread even got different device same with op

Hi guys. As I cannot reply to the development thread I will write it here. @RaymanFX I installed the chocolate RC1 and it is awesome. The phone does not get so hot and the sliding is so smooth. But the interesting part is that I did dirty install over the RC1 flashed gapps and cleared dalvik and I dont have any issue with the mirroring line on the top. I dont know if any log would be of any good to you as it is not any crash or so.
Thanks for all the great work and effort!

For me it's the same with replying to the development section and as well with the mirroring line. It doesn't show up after flashing RC1-chocolate (did a full wipe before). Im coming from latest PAC. ive also made a log with logcat (attached) but dont know if its somehow useful (did it the 1st time).
Thanks to the developers and their effort. Its by far the greatest rom ive ever had on my xperia s (and i nearly tried them all )

The way you phrased your post sounded like you were asking of you should root or not. And I think this is kind of a silly question to ask on a dev forum when the answer is so obvious. I believe that rooting is the only way to bring out the full potential. Even better is the development of custom roms.

It's a must for me.
Well as personal experience I would say ROOOT!!, but only if you feel confident enough arround the system that you wont screw it up
Don't root. You will get pregnant and die

As mentioned, do some research and decide what you need to do with your phone. Do you want features not available with stock? An Engineer at Qualcomm just stated at XDAevCon 2013 yesterday that a custom ROM can be one of the best ways to increase battery life, however ERD Jcase stated that it opens security risks so he chooses not to root. The choice is yours. But read, read, read before you decide.
I will never own an Android phone that is stock. Once I took the plunge back with my Inspire 4G, I couldn't run stock. It would drive me crazy. Too many features and Roms to try.

Talking about risk, theres no risk if u follow and read the steps very carefully, although there are largely benefits of rooting, on battery, resources, space, and ofcourse using some rooted apps like root call blocker, titanium backup, greenify, and many more.....

Your question was already answered here on your very on posting. If that is not enough information for you please type that question on Google or yahoo and pick and choose from the results. There are so many articles, blogs, and forums on this that you should not need to ask what the benefits are.

You have to understand that they are trying to clean up these forums from the many and many useless questions and posts that have been asked and answered many times for years; What are the benefits of rooting being one of them, which actually takes longer to type in using a simple google search, than to find the answer.
They feel here that these types of posts only crowd the forums, and only get in the way of people's searches for more useful information.
