Hi, if anyone interested to swap your internal and external sd card vice versa.
Then follow this:
1. Must be rooted .
2. Root Explorer installed or any.
3. Go to system/etc
4a. Inside etc folder. Open and edit vold.fstab by the following:
Change your vold.fstab:
Before:
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard 15 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.1/mmc_host/mmc0
dev_mount ext_card /mnt/ext_card auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host
dev_mount usbdisk /mnt/usbdisk auto /devices/platform/msm_hsusb_host.0
Into this:
After:
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/ext_card 15 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.1/mmc_host/mmc0
dev_mount ext_card /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host
dev_mount usbdisk /mnt/usbdisk auto /devices/platform/msm_hsusb_host.0
4b. Or you may download file from attachment below and overwrite it to your current file.
5. Save it and make change file permission to rw-r--r--
6. Reboot. Enjoy
Note: Class 10 Micro SD card is recommended

That depends on the vold.fstab of a certain Xperia phone but I think it can be applied
To other phones with internal and ext sdcard.
after using the memory swap i tried connecting my phone to the pc, and when I click the sd card it opened but no folders or anything inside the folder. How to fix this?

After applying these settings:
External memory turn into internal vice versa
So because of EXT format is not supported on windows, thus external memory indeed now internal memory, won't be recognized.

Are you sure about that? Then why does our internal memory shows up when we connect our phone to pc? Im referring to internal memory, not the external.

No need to use sd mounter or any kind of mounting apps because it will be detected on the pc automatically.
EDIT : sorry wrong post
how about this :
dev_mount ext_card /storage/sdcard1 auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host/mmc1
dev_mount usbdisk /storage/usbdisk auto /devices/platform/msm_hsusb_host
fuse_mount sdcard /storage/sdcard0 179 15 /mnt/int_storage

Hi everyone,
Today I got the gt-i9195. I know it has 8 GB of internal storage. I inserted my 32 GB sdcard. But the phone still detects the 8 GB as the external sdcard and the 32 GB sdcard as a second storage. Is there any way to set the 32 GB card as the primary card so that every app accesses the proper storage?
Phone is still unrooted and has stock rom.

I'm also interested... clearly the root is needed.
And disabling emulated sdcard would be the best (so this space is used only for /data).
I think there is no need of such thing, first you need root then try foldermount (lidroid file explorer+super mount works fine) to move your large folders to sd card like obb files, downloads, music and all folders

Use an app called "gl to sd", this is the easiestv way to store large game data to the SD.

I listen that it doesn't work with S4 mini.
I already know that FolderMount works very good to move large games to external sdcard (clearly having root), also on S4 mini.
But in this thread, it is asked another question: external sdcard mounted into /mnt/sdcard.

Any script to swap internal to external sd card for i9190 ?
Don't see the point of swap all internal to external since external is slower and you loose 6gb of storage, but i think you need a init.d support kernel and script like int2sd+
@iKlutz how you get it working?

1) the internal sd (/mnt/sdcard) is an emulated sdcard (/data/media) and it shares the space with the user data (/data): unique partition.
So disabling the internal sdcard, the 6gb of storage become all for user data.
2) The external sdcard isn't slower if you have a microsd SDXC class 10: you only gain more space in /mnt/sdcard.
God I hate these useless comments on these sdcard threads like "you dont need that/theres no need for that/use folder mount etc.", if you aren't here to answer the question nor help with it, don't comment.
@DeusEx80 i can see what you talk about its about having all 6gb of the internal avilable for /data, i think what you need is something like init.d script to mount /data/media/0 (mnt/sdcard) to external sdcard, im no expert but thats the way to get it, for me until its developed the best way is something like folder mount.

Nothing special.. I just opened the menu options, chose move data and selected games with large data to move to the SD card. After it's been moved, I click the chain icon to Mount the SD card data folder and then press the blue play button and voila, it works.

Swap memories are included in the rom. If you don't want the swap search vold.fstab for our device

Yes I know, the ROM has swap memories included.
But I saw in a forum, sdcard0 is like a shortcut of sdcard. Does it's true?
I would just know if I flash the ROM, do I will have sdcard and exsdcard (without sdcard0) ?
In ITJ, sdcard0 is your external sd and sdcard1 would be your internal.(applies only to modified vold.fstabs)

I dont know if any one has started a thread about this already. After the release of jelly bean 4.3 for xperia m c1905 all the previous ways of swapping internal and external storage no longer work making it impossible to run large apps anymore. I know it was recently released but has anyone found a way to do this yet, and im sure im not the only one who would like to know.

Hello
I installed an application that gives me the option to install its database on a path of my choice.
So I would like to install it on the external memory but I can not set the path to the external memory.
Knowing that the default path is / sdcard / My application. This makes the database to be installed in the internal memory.
I tried /storage/extSDCard/ but I get the message 'no such directory'.
My phone is S4 mini Duos i9192

Ok, how about create a folder and point to there? Example create a folder called "Myfile" than use /storage/extSDCard/Myfile/ <-- give it a shot. If it still not working, them it most likely the app itself or Kernel/rom related issue.

I need someone who has galaxy s4 mini and try himself on his phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tool.offline.translation.dictionary&hl=fr
In fact the application is small and looks like 'google translate'. I can move the application to the sd card without difficulty.
the problem is that once the application is installed, I have to download language packages which are a bit big.
By default, the application installs these packages in the internal memory. But it gives me the option to change the path to another directory.
What I seek is to define a path that will allow the application to install these packages in the external sd card.
thanks

Ur data is almost full. To download an app on google apps you must have atleast 200mb free on your storage. Alternatively u can use link2sd to link apps that u installed to second partition to free up some space
I got it working but I had to change the script on a galaxy note 2 LTE gt-n7105 with cyanogenmod 10.2
it wasn't working, and I noticed that the file /dev/block/vold/179:33 wasn't on my phone but I have 179:16 and 179:17
so my script is now like this:
#!system/bin/sh
sleep 3
mount -o remount,rw /
# mount -t vfat -o umask=0000,utf8 /dev/block/vold/179:33 /mnt/shell/emulated
mount -t vfat -o umask=0000,utf8 /dev/block/vold/179:17 /mnt/shell/emulated
mount -o bind /data/media/0 /storage/sdcard1
chown system /data/media/0
chgrp sdcard_rw /data/media/0
chmod 0075 /data/media/0
mount -o remount, ro /
is thr any way to even access internal 2gb memory..i asked bcoz my sdcard is only 8 gb i want to use internal memory after swapping
will it work on lollipop??
