MHL adapter questions

OK I just got my adapter it is the official Samsung OEM MHL adapter. I had just one problem but I now have three. (PS I Have the White T-Mobile Galaxy S II which is the exact smart phone as the AT&T Galaxy S II Skyrocket)
Problem #1: I am not sure if its possible or how to go about doing this. OK I use a nice 27" HP 2711x LED Monitor on my bedroom with my Xbox 360 connected via VGA, my gaming rig connected via HDMI, and now I have my MHL adapter connected via HDMI. The problem is that my Monitor is only a monitor and it has no internal speakers, but I have a pair of external speakers that I use for sound the speakers have 3 input options. I can connect directly into the subwoofer portion via the red and white RCA cables(this is how my Xbox is connected), I can connect with my basic 3.5mm auxiliary cable plugged into the speakers input jack(this is the way that I connect my phone to play music), or I can connect via the inline Auxiliary cable that the speakers have built in(which is the way my computer is connected). Im not an idiot when it comes to Tech I know that HDMI cables handle both sound and video but since my monitor only takes the video part I can't get any audio when streaming from my phone to it, so I plugged my speakers inline auxiliary cable to my phone so that the sound would reroute to it, but that didn't work either it produced no sound =/, so I also tried to just plug in my headphones into my phone and again no sound. So are there any work arounds or ways to make it so my phone will let me output sound via its 3.5mm headphone jack or even its loud speaker? Or is there a seperate cable/jack I can purchase to split the HDMI cables video and sound, and make the sound output via either 3.5mm audio jack or red and white RCA cables, and let the video output via HDMI?
Problem #2: OK my MHL adapter was working video wise but today I plugged it all up and it wouldn't work at all my monitor kept saying no input detected so I was sad and I decided to remove my phones battery to do a soft reset. And it fixed the problem so I started web browsing etc and all of a sudden it stopped working again. Is there a work around for this or reason or fix?
Problem #3: Is there anyway to make the output quality full HD? Because when I am outputting and on the browser its like the resolution is so off which results in everything being huge and somewhat pixelated.
Sorry for the length I like for my post to be as in depth as possible.

Output to RCA cables.. Is it possible?

I want to output my video to my dvd screen in my car. My input for the aux of the dvd player are RCA. Previously I was using a 3.5mm jack to output to RCA and this worked with my old phone (t mobile vibrant). Is there anyway to output the HDMI on this phone to rca inputs? Any help is appreciated. I posted in this thread because I'm assuming the fix would be an accessory. Thanks.
I doubt you'll find a cable to do it. hdmi is digital and the composite signal needed by the vehicle is analog. You'll need something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Composite-S-Video-Converter-3RCA/dp/B0047PDBP0/ref=pd_sxp_grid_i_0_0
Thanks for the quick reply, that was what I was afraid of. Guess I'm stuck with audio out for now.

I finally came up with a solution that works for me. My goal was to output the video of my phone to my dvd screen in my car. The dvd player has RCA inputs. Well rather than buying an hdmi adapter and trying to find a dc power source compatible with my car, I found an alternative solution. My old phone is a t-mobile vibrant which outputs video through a 3.5mm adapter which splits into RCA inputs. It worked fine for playing video on the screen but was outdated and I had to upgrade. The GS3 only outputs hdmi and Bluetooth is not an option for video so I had a great idea. Why not use my GS3 to wifi tether to my old Vibrant and stream audio / video through the wireless connection. So I rooted the phone, downloaded wifi tether from the play store (free) and set up my vibrant to connect to my GS3 through tether. In order to share files, I downloaded bubbleupnp (free with limitations) from the play store and now I can play files from my GS3, which wirelessly plays on my vibrant, which outputs to my RCA inputs. Its kind of a roundabout way of doing what I wanted but it works well. I can keep my vibrant in my car hooked up to a car charger, while my GS3 can be docked and charging as well. The only thing I have to do is remember to turn on my wifi tether when I get in my car and my vibrant connects automatically. And the best part is that if I play video or music from my GS3 library, I'm not downloading anything so no data usage from the wifi tether. Pretty awesome. I imagine this will work with any two DLNA devices so long as one of them has video out through rca or and older adapter. Hope this helps someone out.
And do you have two cellphones batteries to drain... have you connected 2 car chargers or anything like that? Your car panel will be with too many cables, no?

Well I do have two car chargers, One in front and one in the back. I do need to get a good mount that has power attached. I've seen the ones that plug into the lighter and they have the power built right in so that will eliminate one cable and give me a nice dock for my GS3. Not sure what I'll do with the vibrant but I won't need to access it very much so might mount it to the inside of my armrest or something. I don't think the cables will really be a problem though. I'm just happy I got it working again.

[Q] ExTERNAL DAC FOR N7000

Hello!
Anybody with a JB 4.1.1 ROM got a running external dac on the n7000 ?
ie Fiio E7.
Thanks!
Does 4.1.1 provide digital audio output from note? If so, would it be possible to connect it to stereo system using usb cable? I have Denon micro system and it has usb plug so you can plug in iPhone or iPad and it sounded great when I tryed it. If same thing would be possible with my note I would love it.

I know that the I9300 and the N7100 have a digital unprocessed line-out that you can connect to various digital devices and they can be used as a DAC.
I just wonder, if this feature has any hardware limitations or it's just the JB ROM?
If you have the USB HOST cable you can try connecting it to your DENON.

I recieved my cable yesterday but cannot find how to use the n7000 as a host. The sound still comes out through the phone speaker and nothing through the DAC.
Audio revolution will record to the phone via usb. Usb audio tester recognises my headphone dac as burr brown, but not able to utilise for audio transfer from phone to dac yet.
My current rom is "Ultimate N7000 XXLSC JellyBean 4.1.2 v5.1"
Has anyone had success with any other rom or kernel ?
Damm I'd love it worked. I want a dac on m'y note , yamaha sucks.

I'm also interested in this matter, I would like to have better audio.
Awaiting the results of their experience

Have you activated audio output in the settings under System/Dock?

Note N7000 to Denon AVR
I don't have a DAC but a Denon 1312 AVR with no USB. However, I connect the Note N7000 to the AVR via HDMI using the MHL Connector. Works great and gives near lossless audio when I play FLAC.

I have a fiio dac but can't use it with the note. There's no digital signal output to attach it to. Trust me. I've looked into it. I have to make do with using the headphone amp only, which is still a great improvement.

I have tried it with an OTG cable and my fiio E7 on jelly bean 4.2 (liquid smooth rom) but haven't had any succes yet. It is possible with the galaxy S3. And I think there should be a way to do it with the note too, since its able to transmit it trough HDMI.
There are some interesting threads on headfi about the matter.
Somebody should kickstart hdmi based DAC with built in power so we can skip mhl connection size can be as big as note as long is not thick... all n7000 / n7100 will rejoice
You here it first from here

Probably very, VERY LATE in the game. But I have a Note 1, N7000 version that I'm trying to revive purely as a DAP. I've read that only the SGH i717 model supports audio over USB (via OTG). Can anyone confirm? Is there a ROM that can be used for the N7000 version that will allow audio over USB? Thanks.

Kitsound S3 Dock

Hi everyone, I bought the Kitsound S3 and it looks class and is a very handy way for me to charge my phone at work, only issue I have is that the audio is rubbish when put through the dock with my headphones in the back. Does anyone else have this dock and what is their audio quality like though the dock? Also does anyone else use audio out via the USB and is this where the audio turns crap? I'm hoping that mine is faulty because this it a big issue if they all have this problem. Thanks in advance for all reply's.
