[Pool] do You want Semc Debrand Engine CM9 or Cm10

Hi , i am Achotjan Semc Debrand Engine owner
i want to ask Sony Xperia S users about My rom
i am working on 2010 line of xperia and 2011 , want to work on xperia S too , already done somme work so...
as we know Jealy bean is out and cm10 is in progress so my question is this
do you want a CM9 Semc Debrand Engine or you want that i wait till Sony upgrade to Jealy bean to work on CM10 debrand Engine
if i work on CM9 it will take time and need to finish it can not make it and when official jealybean come create a CM10 based one
pleas let your comment and vote !

CM10 is hottest, i think!

A new Rom as soon as possible for sure I think not Sony will upgrade JB for XS before December or later. CM9 at this time is almost completed - smooth, fast, stable, friendly battery

Still, AOKP with Sony firmware would be AWESOME!!!

Sorry for the noob question, but what exactly is semc debrand engine?
Is it cm9/cm10 with sony style + sony apps?

For me i d base my decision on whether or not we are likely to see a working camera on cm10 anytime soon or is it likely to be non functional till Sony does their own port.
If we are going to be stuck with getting camera working on cm10 then I'd say make the port for cm9.
I'm not seeing much indication which way it's going to go with cm10 yet though as it's early days. Maybe one of the fxp guys could give us a hint as to where we lie?
Oh and nice to see you here, looking forward to seeing your rom on xs.

yes exactly i am working on source and compiling , i will work only on cyanogenmod no need for aokp , maybe in future but for now havent any project for aokp
and FXP team not work on AOKP

What he meant, is we work from source (we make the vendor/device/kernel trees) whereas you work from binary (you put Sony stuff into CM ROM)

Camera on Jb rooms

i need your experince guys wich JB rom had the best camera around on the xperia S fourm ?!
is there any one with stock camera ! i know its impossible since there is no jb source for it

The camera is the same on all actual JB ROMs, AFAIK. It will be better with Sony's JB.

I got better results with CM10 - 212.
Sony has a wonderful hardware but its drivers suck big time.

new firmware certified for xperia S 6.2.B.0.211

Ofcourse sony is working for Xperia S... They released it because we want to close our mouths...

It was just my 2 cents on those who thought Sony is over with XS... I was sure that Sony will make this update nice and smooth. Better late than never

Already Jellybean update is rolling out for Xperia S. .200 firmware.. And this update .211 will come this month i think..

Let's see if we'll get the bugfixes until next week

I hope wifi direct also include to a new firmware.

this rom will never see the light trust me stay on GB or at least on ICS but 4.2.2 it's only mirage (maybe for now, i can't really say it XD), maybe 5.0 hahaha... nope, just kidding XD

Look at the last post all work on that was discontinued. But 5.0 is "rumored" to work on low end devices so maybe just maybe it will come to play though by then most people will have moved on so it will be very little chance

Agreed. My ZL is in for repair, oddly enough, but are we even sure that they don't mean TrackID is up to version 4.3? It's kinda worded that way in the app store screen-shot posted above.
I can't check, but seem to remember it hovering around v3.8 a few months back.
Sony's been ambiguous about their upgrade path lately. It used to run through 4.3, but now with 4.4 I'm not clear on the schedules...

It could be a mistake out intentional leak regarding 4.3 as the same had been removed from play store. It's no more included in what's New part.

Could be someone had that pointed out to them... based on stuff I've seen in other forum's, I wouldn't be too surprised if the different manufacturer's had someone reading xda...

.67 on my ZL was acting like weird , when i press the power to wake my phone, the screen only light but no image, so i go back to .244 and its perfect, even much smoth thatn 67.... il w8 for 4.3 to update.
