Unhappy [Q] Flash tool error
Hi seen this before flashtool is saying you need the loader_unlocked.sin file you need to google it download it and place in flashtool/devices/mk16 folder in windows. Then flash again

Its somewhat a common problem with a flashtool. Do as tallman43 said and if this wont help then try to install an older version.

Easy one. Had the same issue. A littlr search in xda helepd me out
Open yor flachtool install folder.
Go to devices folder
Find R800 folder
Copy the unlocked_loader inside, to your MK16 folder.
Enjoy.
Ps. This worked for my arc. Try at ya own risk, but it should work
Sent from my LT15i using birds.

i had this proplem before
I had this problem before in my arc s all I do is go to C>>flashtool>>Firmwares and delete the ftf file I want to flash then go back and but it in the firmware folder and try it ll flash :fingers-crossed:

If u have an unlocked bootloader , i think you can root .62. No need of downgrading it. Search for the method.

Just boot recoveryARC.IMG with fastboot (DON'T FLASH IT, JUST BOOT). Then flash latest superuser.zip from sdcard.
While searching for files read something more about process.
If more help needed or files needed pm me and I can help from Wednesday on.

[Q] noob problem with flashtool

Hello,
i try today for first time to flash my xperia arc. I have unlocked bootloader (by Alejandrissimo), rooted and all the drivers installed and flashtool recognizes my phone.

edit: i flash another generic ftf image 250 mb aprox and now i can flash the phone.
Thanks.

My XPERIA Play R800i wouldn't flash the FW.

Hi,
Today I received an XPERIA Play R800i device with a problem that I do not know what is it!! If I turned it on it stuck with the black screen and Sony Ericsson text logo.
I unlocked the bootloader and tried to flash the following firmwares using Flashtool 0.8.6.0:
R800i_4.0.2.A.0.42_Generic_UK.ftf
R800i_4.0.2.A.0.62_(1253-4437).ftf
But here is what I got:
Code:

I tried to flash these two FWs as baseband only but I got the same problem.
What can I do? What is the problem?
By the way: is there a way to know what is the version of my Firmware?
Have you installed all of the flashtool drivers?
Yes I have installed the SDK Android
Also I have: "Fastboot and ADB Package"
I also thought that it is better to install DoomKerneL and I successfully done that but the FW could not be flashed yet!!
Try redownloading the firmware and trying again? Or if you can try another PC or laptop. I'm sure the problem can be resolved

Hold On!!! Are you using flash tool to flash boot.img(I think it's not possibile)?? You have to use FastBoot! I remeber you the procedure... Take the kernel put it in c:/program files/android /android /plaform-tools Then open PROMPT and go to the path i wrote first...Then use comand FASTBOOT.EXE FLASH BOOT BOOT_NAME.IMG
but i cant get into fastboot mode and im not rooted

you don't need root to go in fastboot mode ...maybe just unloaked bootloader ! Try this procedure if you have unlocked bootloader

Stuck at Sony logo, can not switch off

Hi All,
I am new here & for these technical things also, but 1st of all I would like to appriciate all who made these difficult things look so easy.
Now my problem :
I have Xperia Arc, I flashed & rooted the device post that I was trying to install CM10. I also installed ClockWork Mod Ver 5.XXX.
I took backup & then I tried to install from SD card (CM10 Zip) but it gave me "Status7" error so I restored my backed up data & clicked on restart device...... from then now whenever I start the device it hangs on Sony logo, even I can not switcg it off, I have to take out battery to switch it off.
If memory serves me best I had Android 4.0.XX installed earlier.... Please suggest what to do to get my device up & running....
I again want to appriciate the people who pull out time to help others in such simpler ways ....
Boot into cwm wipe data, cache, (advanced )dalvic cache go to mounts storage format data, cache, system, next flash cm10 again. If that not work fastboot another JB kernel with cwm built in repeat above instructions. If all fails flash back to stock with a fft rom, hope that helps:fingers-crossed:

Because you have flashtool working you can either flash back to a stock rom with a ftf file found in arc forum.Or connect phone to flashtool let phone recognize phone might take two three minutes wait till flashtool says root access allowed. Then go to tools /reboot /recovery/reboot default version this should take you into cwm recovery then follow instructions in my first post.

As I told earlier also, I am very new for all this. I am not able to find a ftf file by which I can flash back. Please see if you can provide me with the exact link & the way how to do it through flosh tool. I know I am sounding dumb but actually this is my condition right now. It seems to me you are already on .587
you might need to do the cache and dalvik
in general doing the back button should bring you to the menu
put back the battery of your phone and press the back button and see if that diplays the recovery mode from your tel from there delete cache and dalvik reboot it again wait a few minuteswhile booting and should come back to life
