Help Orz....Error code during downgrade my 0.62 ArcS

My Device is updated to 0.62 version and would like to downgrade it to 0.58 with flashtool.
Follow all the steps, then the errors appeared.
P.S. Unclicked the Wipe User data, coz i want to retain my data.

Many users are reporting problem with 0.6.8.0 version...try 0.6.7.0...
could even be a damaged ftf file..

Rem. to wipe user data when changing ROMS ...as a thumb rule..else you might get a BOOTLOOP issue...
and if u are worried about losing your apps or data...do a NANDROID BACKUP or use Titanium backup ...
after flashing new ROM, u can use it to recover your lost data or apps..
But Nandroid backup won't work if u change from stock ROM to custom ROM...
But I suggest you to have a Nandroid backup of your stock ROM in case you feel like switching back n forth...

where can i find a tutorial on how to downgrade from 62 to 42?
I've already unlocked the boot loader.
I've installed the latest Flash Tools 7
I have the file Xperia Arc (LT18i)_4.0.2.A.0.42_CE and it's in the right folder under c:\Flash tools7 \ Firmware

If u have an unlocked bootloader , i think you can root .62. No need of downgrading it. Search for the method.

Just boot recoveryARC.IMG with fastboot (DON'T FLASH IT, JUST BOOT). Then flash latest superuser.zip from sdcard.
While searching for files read something more about process.

i have also flashed this firmware.. but i am not getting those errors ..flashtool 0.7.0.0 flashed for me correctly.. just connect device properly in flash mode and check no final verification check box..:

hello guys pls help me , before flashing i forgot to check usb debugging and my connectivity was in MTP , when flashing it said please check usb debbuging , and u was in MTP mode bla bla , i dnt remmber what it said .. and i plug off usb cable and my xperia play bricked T.T..

As fas as I know - you dont have to be in Mass storage mode, or have USB debugging on - to flash firmwares.
You simply use flashtool, push ftf file you want to it with phone connectet via USB (care which mode or debugging on/off), and do as you are told -> let flashtool prepare, phone off, cable off, hit and hold back button on play, and plug in usb cable... flashing of the ftf should then start and work.
Get a Stock Rom version (they are on xda just search) and flash again, your phone should work fine again

realy , hmm so why my play bricked after flashing , oh get a stock rom , you mean 2.3.4 , im at 2.3.3 when i flashing , can i just flast to 2.3.4 to fix my bricked play ? sory my english is very bad

Can't really tell you why your phone "bricked" (it is not really bricked) maybe you chose a wrong firmware... when you have r800x, go with r800x firmware, if you have r800i, use that firmware
Stock rom is available in 2.3.4 : 2.3.3 : 2.3.2 ..... you choose, what you want.

Go into the flashtool folder and open up the drivers folder and install what is there. That's all I know.

LT15i?? and for malaysia it is GSM version.. the file that u flash is CDMA

Hold On!!! :laugh: Are you using flash tool to flash boot.img(I think it's not possibile)?? You have to use FastBoot! I remeber you the procedure... Take the kernel put it in c:/program files/android /android /plaform-tools Then open PROMPT and go to the path i wrote first...Then use comand FASTBOOT.EXE FLASH BOOT BOOT_NAME.IMG

you don't need root to go in fastboot mode ...maybe just unloaked bootloader ! Try this procedure if you have unlocked bootloader

Unhappy [Q] Flash tool error
Hi seen this before flashtool is saying you need the loader_unlocked.sin file you need to google it download it and place in flashtool/devices/mk16 folder in windows.Then flash again

Its somewhat a common problem with a flashtool. Do as tallman43 said and if this wont help then try to install an older version.

Easy one. Had the same issue. A littlr search in xda helepd me out
Open yor flachtool install folder.
Go to devices folder
Find R800 folder
Copy the unlocked_loader inside, to your MK16 folder.
Enjoy.
Ps. This worked for my arc. Try at ya own risk, but it should work

I had this problem before in my arc s all I do is go to C>>flashtool>>Firmwares and delete the ftf file I want to flash then go back and but it in the firmware folder and try it ll flash :fingers-crossed:
