Hi
I have been using Minooch + Franco kernel (Version 4.1.2) for months now and I have been happy about it and even donated as a small thanks from my side.
I downloaded their latest version 2 days back (Version 4.2.1) - Nightly kernel - Minco v.6 and I noticed a couple of things.
1. The volume was not as high as last version.
2. I have experienced twice today - I kept the phone idle for some time and I was not able to switch it back on - unless I take the battery off and switch it on after putting the battery in.
I flashed after fully formatting and wiping everything - so its a fresh install.
Can anyone help? Thanks.
Flash r364 from the franco.Kernel thread. The one included is r348, which is pretty old now.

Currently,I'm using Scotland MIUI 5.18 with Franco Kernel 181r nightly.
I try to update to Scotland MIUI 6.8 today, but failed.
I try to double wipe before and after I flash 6.8.
All I got is stocking at below screen which indicted
"Finish booting".
What should I do?
p.s I can only restore my nandroid backup of Scotland MIUI 5.18.
try the miui.us version or the android.com version
maybe something broke up in that version..
wiped cache & dalvik-cache?
oops, missed that part in the OP

I've tried many and my favorite so far is the ParanoidKANGdroid ROM, smooth as F**, look stock, and VERY customizable !

And read the OP of each ROM and choose the closest. We all did it when we chose a ROM.
Hey I've been following this forum religiously but this will be my first actual post.
Anyways, I've downloaded and did a clean flash of 4.2.2 Slim Bean build 5.
I've been with slimbean ever since the first build and I've been updating with every new release.
The thing that REALLY annoys me though, is that the data speed is terribly slow.
I've reflashed to stock rom-my data is significantly faster.
About 10 minutes prior to this post I've done a clean flash back to slimbean 4.2.2- still terribly slow data speeds.
I've changed my APN settings to the recommended telus APN settings like everyone has said in the thread
Selected preffered network mode as GSM/LTE/WCDMA
Is there anything else that could be affecting my data speed?
Can kernel affect it? Also when I flash a new rom, does it flash a new kernel with it?
Thanks for any help you can provide!

On any of the aosp roms I've tried, whenever I try to install a kernel, specifically ktoonsez, the phone refuse to reboot after. Like it just vibrates when I press the power button and nothing happens after.
I know I've been following the instruction correctly because I am able to flash on stock touchwiz roms. I'm also sure I'm flagging the aosp version of the kernel..
Here are my phone's configurations.
Flash a 3.4 kernel not a 3.0 kernel.

Just upgraded from AOKP 4.2.2 with the underwear linux kernel 3.4.53 if I'm correct as I can't remember the build date, I used to use the Wheatley/Zen governor on that version and since the update there are no custom(?) governors, My question is since being updated to 3.4.60 have these been removed or will I have to wait until the kernel zip is released via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766684 ?
Thanks for reading!
