The amazing TWISTED(X) Theme, made by NCANDIANO, will only work with KILLROMS , but as he's a real Gentleman, he made separate inverted apps only package, for us to use with all other Roms (should work on all J.B ROMS.)

Instructions for flashable zip : wipe cache and dalvik, flash and reboot.
If you want to revert to stock apps...then you'll have to flash again your Rom after having performed a cache and dalvik wipe.
Usual Disclamer : I'm not responsible for the damages that these could eventually cause to you phone. I suppose you're grown-up people, so you don't need me to hold your hand...blah, blah,.......BUT these apps should not harm your phone if you follow instructions...

Has anyone managed to install the quicksearch inverted app? I tried both installing it as a normal apk file and moving it to system/app/ after removing velvet.apk (which should be the normal app) but in the first case I get an error message saying it's not a valid apk file and in the second case it doesn't pop up anywhere in my installed apps list after rebooting the device. Thank you.

That's strange....
Try this one and report ; you don't need to delete first the old one, just put the new one in system/app folder, it will override it, and the phone will reboot.

Oh, that's must be why then. I had moved out of the /system/app folder the original velvet.apk in my attempts. Now even if I move it back to the app folder, the stock google search app won't appear in the apps list no matter what. I guess I have to flash gapps again and then follow your procedure.

Yes, i think deleting first the file must "disturb" the system somehow...
Try with the Quicksearchbox in OP, and if it doesn't work, then try the Velvet one.
Instead of deleting or moving the original files. Just rename them. Then it's easy to undo the changes.
Remember to check that permissions are set.

Link me to the ROM you're running. That apk is a ***** with different ROMs mostly because its new. I'll build a working velvet for you later tonight and post by tomorrow.

You are right, I should've just renamed it. That was my bad, I thought that following the rootzwiki inverted gmail client installation procedure would work with those apk as well (mount /system for W permissions as root, delete /system/app/gmail.apk and then install the custom gmail.apk as a normal apk file).
For the record's sake, I've tried flashing latest gapps but I couldn't manage to make google search pop again. Maybe I should just do a clean flash of the rom again and try with the correct procedure.
What's strange is that i'm using too Rasjellybean 9th Aug , and i installed this without any issue.
So volapyk is right , this could be a permission problem.
Vaalen , have you tried the velvet apk too ?
And before reflashing default gapps , have you wipe cache and dalvik ?
Flashable Zips- Black Velvet Forthcoming
I added the apks into flashable zips. They're generic zip flashers they'll work in any recovery. Just wipe cache/dalvik and flash. It's not always just the name with the QSB apk, so I'm going to put together a Velvet.apk when I get home later, in the meantime these should make for easier installs for those who don't want to be messing around in the system/app folder. I'm PMing you the links because XDA won't let me link (not enough posts,) If you would update the OP I'd appreciate it.
**Black and blue UI, Framework, and Inverted Notifications Shade are only supported at the HIVE for Axiom ROMs at the moment.

Flashed MMS apk and gmail apk. MMS apk works great except when you click a thread on the main screen the area you click doesn't highlight. Is this how it should be? Also gmail apk only screen that is dark is the main home screen. When you click to read an email it is white. Normal as well? Thanks!
Since Dillym34 is" XDA Retired", i ask him if i can use his Touch0Color Theme to make them works in new Jedi Roms. I just can't live without this Theme and would like to share my mods with others. He told me to go ahead with it. I've tried to mod the universal one and it works perfectly on JMT vX. I'm not a Themers or a Dev but not bad as modifying scripts and flashable Zips.
Works for me but at your own risk... Backup Before Flash!!!

i tried to flash your file in twrp 2.3.1.1 did not work gives me errors on apk files and nothing is changed

I tried flashing bu no status bar... And it keeps saying system ui has stopped. Going have to re flash rom then try again. Was it because I was on deep blue theme?

Wich Recovery ?
The Universal Theme dillym34 made works with the New Jedi Mind Trick X. No need to hurt yourselves on reflashin and reflashin cause of errors and glitches. just go to this link I'm postin and download it. Haven't tested it with the TWRP but it does work with CWM.

The one i made is based on this universal theme but 15 toggles didn't work...that's why i mod it to make it work with JMT vX

Correct, the 15 toggles aren't themed when flashing the universal one but if some can live without that feature then they can use that. I just posted this as a quick alternative to the theme you posted to get away from the stock look until everyone works out the kinks in it. I'll have a look at the script and see if I can find a work around for it.

All you have to do is open the zip with 7zip and rename
ADT-res.apk folder to Jedi-res.apk and it will make it compatible with JediMindTrickX.

The download seems to be corrupted. Tried on multiple devices and browsers.
I reflashed twrp 2.2.2.0 and the theming worked but do you know if we can flash another theme over this one
want to try the the carbon JMTv8 theme looks cleaner
and since you are from montreal do you know if there is a patch for this theme to show the 4g icon because when i flashed this theme i loose the 4g icon

I don't know what is going to be the results of flashing a theme over another one. probably a mix of both themes! But if u want to come back and remove Touch0Color, just flash the zip files created by the script that you can find in the "universalflasher" folder in your internal storage.
For the 4G patch, i'll take a look at the other patches done by PTMR3 and will try to adapt... probably just modify icon name in systemui.apk...
The Universal Flasher is not working good with TWRP 2.3.1.1... i remember Dillym34 already wrote something using TWRP not working with Universal Flasher... So i recommend CWM and TWRP 2.2.2.0 only to flash This... I'll edit the OP.

I redownload it and check MD5... Reflash it...it was ok.
I just add MD5 in OP and also maybe because you flashed it with TWRP 2.3.1.1... Not compatible with the Universal Flasher script!

it alters the sound file in /system/media/UI/
believe it's an .ogg file, all the UI sounds for your device are found in there, you can modify/cut mp3's, convert them, then name them the same as the the one you are trying to replace and there you have it, a new UI sound for the same function.

Nope .. it is the seccontacts.apk that sound comes from ..
None of the /system/media/UI sounds is for the keypad sound
That would be to easy ...

Trust me, I tried everything to remove that crap on my old releases. I had a feelign it was in Sec_Contacts.
Why not make the change a flashable zip instead? If its just for UVDLJA, it'd be much more simple to release the modified Sec_Contacts, would it not?

Well this does the same thing .. just uses adb
It replaces the apk sets permissions and reboots phone.
So I guess both would be ok. This way is more fun!

Well I stand corrected... I guess that makes sense that the app itself would have its own sounds included within the apk... just like any other app!

By the way, didn't work for me (stock JB). It replaced SecContacts but it was no longer present in the drawer and trying to install it via rootexplorer only failed.

Pretty sure its deodexed. Many of us wont be able to use this because we are using custom roms.
I know you can reodex, but im betting most wont bother with new releases every day.
If I may, id suggest making a deodexed flashable that the devs can use in their roms. If they apply any mods to the contacts app, and then someone flashes your mod, itll revert the other back to stock. If a dev mods yours instead, then the users get the best of both.
I would like to try yours, except two things, im always deodexed, and I never connect to the computer unless I have to use Odin. Almost everything else can be done either on device, or through wireless.
Nothing against what youve done though, so please dont take it as anything more than suggestion. It is always cool to show different ways of getting things done! I just think a lot more people could enjoy this if it were deodexed and recovery flashable.
Whatever you decide, good job on this! Ive been wanting to do the same ever since I got this thing, I just keep getting involved in too many other things!

Sorry...I wasnt very clear.
I flashed the beep hack... THEME went away but had the beep hack sound. Reflashed the theme, but the beep hack sound stayed and had the theme came back. Wish there was a way to try it out.... but I have the beep hack sound on the phone. There a way to get the waterdrop sound back then i can test it out
I'm a little confused to what this mod does or why its necessary. If I understand correctly it removes the water droplet sound from the dialer. I don't have that sound because I turned it off in settings. Can't you just turn the sound off in settings?

Worked great for me on my AT&T S3. I have a custom dialer theme as well.
I re posted this OP in the at&t forums for others there to try.
Just Flash Group SecMMs Touchwiz Addon [insert your rom here].zip then flash Group MMs on TW framework [insert your rom here].zip [It will wipe your messages] Backup Before Flashing.
You should be able to flash this on any themed stock ROM without losing your theme
But just in case:
I have added the changed smali file in Group MMS on TW smali.zip for any dev that wants to add these features to their themed secmms.apk

Turns out at least from the SecMms.apk files I have gotten so far that they are all different so I will have to do one for each ROM. I removed the other files so that there would be no confusion. [Let me know how it goes]

Heck Yes!!! Got it working on Novella Dos, I do not have any iphone friends so I cannot test that, please let me know if you guys have any problems and please be aware that I just got this working and am sharing it with the community. The Group mms on Tw framework.zip file will wipe out your messages so Backup before you flash it. Make sure to make a flashable zip of your framework2.jar or backup your whole ROM.
The standard framework was for Novella Dos. If that doesn't work for you send me the framework2.jar from your ROM.

I got a lot of the bugs worked out and removed the slideshow that I hated. v2 has all of the changes. Just wanted to make it easier to flash.
Just Flash Group SecMMs Touchwiz Addon [insert your rom here].zip then flash Group MMs on TW framework [insert your rom here] v2.zip [It will wipe your messages] Backup Before Flashing.
Also for anyone interested I made a mod for the speech bubbles, all of them should be replaced.

If this gets fixed to where it doesn't FC I would love you forever, the only reason I'm not on touchwiz is because of the lack of group messaging.

You can just push the stock SecMms.apk into system/apps. You can get it from a TouchWiz based ROM.
I'm getting FCs with this as well and I'm running ATT CleanRom SE 1.5. I don't know if you want me to send you my SecMMS.apk as requested or if you're already at work on this. I've been beginning for this mod for ever. Would really appreciate a working apk. Thanks!

Hey regulusv7, I installed the CleanRom SE 1.5 app and it doesn't FC, which is great, but when I send a group text it adds it to a thread to "Anonymous" recipients and the replies come back to individual threads. I wiped caches and fixed permissions so not sure what else I can do. Perhaps some of the others are having better luck. Thanks again!

I was going through aome of my zip files as I dont like the stock white background mms app. I dont remember where I found but this and it is not my work and I take Zero credit, just sharing. This version allows you to set background wallpapers for conversation and message view along with setting different color options. Works flawlessly on my n3, I had to rename the default SecMms.apk to a SecMms.bak and flashed via twrp, havent had any issues on DarkStalker v2.

Havent tried but when I tried on this rom I renamed as outlined above as if it fc'd etc I could just go back rename the SevMms.bak to SecMms.apk and reboot and would be back to normal.

That is an inverted AOSP messaging app. It works pretty well except for MMS as I believe it has not been modified for the Note 3. See attachment

Sorry not working for ya, no issues here at all on n3 with ds v2 and ptmr3 kernel. Did you rename your default secmms as that happened to me, but maybe I got lucky with it working.

Yes that was with the SecMMS.apk renamed and flashing through TWRP. I also tried it by renaming the mms apk and replacing the SecMMS apk in system/app with the same results.

Oh I using kit kat
Try this for KitKat. It inverts SMS, dialer, and contacts. Foreverloco is working on updating it for the latest NE6 but people have reported this version does work on NE6. If you get black text in your SMS that is unreadable, follow instructions in the thread to fix it. The fix worked for me
