Yes it does, I have one as well. But you have to format it on a stock rom.

I formatted mine on a custom rom and it still works.

I have a 16gb phone, and those obviously don't add up to 16 gigabytes. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you search in general, there was a guide on how to switch your internal with.external (in the eyes of the OS anyway)
