First of: I have no problems with MMS in other ROMS.
I have not been able to send, or receive MMS, at all with CodefireX - I jumped on at SR4 and today I've been trying out latest Nightly.
When trying to send a MMS, it keeps on "Sending" for a short eternity. No errors, no nothing. The first few times I got a error of some sort, cant remember exactly what is said. But I think it was something like: "Unable to send MMS, please try again later"
What I've tried:
*#*#4636#*#* then About the phone>SMSC>refresh>update --> this inserts the message central number. But I still cant send MMS.
Verified that Data is active. ---> check
I've flashed a Stock ROM, checked that MMS was working and gone back to cfX. ---> no change. Still not able to send MMS.
Tried several versions of cfX, SR12 gives me "The process com.android.mms has stopped working", tried clearing cache and delete data --- No change.
From there I did a full wipe, installed Stock RUU, wiped and flashed SR12 again. Did the *#*#4636#*#* thing again ----> still no MMS.
Tried the same with the latest Nightly ---> Still no MMS.
Updating Radio ----> Still no MMS.
I've checked and rechecked the APN. All seems to be good and correct.
Any ideas?
For now I'm back to trusty old BlackICE. ---> MMS working.
Would have asked in the dev tread, but not allowed to post there.
Figured it out...
I had to delete all APN's and typing in the two correct ones manually. Now it's working. :victory:
A bit strange, as everything except the name of the chosen APN was correct. Oh well.. Now it works, and I'm happy.

Hi,
I have problems with sending mms. Don't get any errors, or anything. The process just stops and the message get status "pending".
Have called my vendor, but they couldn't help. The just said that this phone is so new that they don't know how to change the settings.
I'm using Telenor, Norway.
Thanx in advanced,
Joachim.
Edit: I can also mention that I can receive mms.
So I was using the rooted stock gingerbread rom and decided to flash CM7 to see what all the hype was about. I followed the steps outlined in the CM7 wiki, and the whole thing was a nightmare. constant FC messages and every time I tried to restore my apps via Mybackuproot I was unable to move anything to the SD card even after enabling app2sd in CM7.
I even went so far as to do a factory reset, wipe cache/dalvik and try reflashing. No dice. All I manged to do there was create a boot loop which forced me to do the whole process a second time.
I gave up and just decided to restore the nandroid backup I had made just a few days ago.
But now, I'm having issues with send and receiving items. I can receive e-mails but when I reply it's stuck in "sending"
Apparently I can send texts (sent one to a friend who said they got it) but I cannot receive them.
I updated prl and profile in the settings. Now i'm at a loss. How do I fix this??
You can rewipe everything and reflash the stock Rom that you were running before your "nightmare" journey, and see if that clears up your texting problem.
now the voices are in 3d
I went into the applications setting and cleared the data from the gmail app and from the hancent/stock text message settings.
I can now send e-mails, but I still can't receive text messages.
Before doing any of that I booted into recovery and did a factory wipe and cleared dalvik/cache again. I then reflashed my recovery.
Still not having luck with receiving messages. help!
bump?
I installed google voice and I'm now getting text messages through there, but my stock app/handcent still aren't getting anything incoming.
I cleared the cache and force closed both programs, I made sure sync was enabled. I'm a loss here

did you go into mobile network settings and make sure you didn't uncheck boxes there?
Hey guys, been searching and reading for hours and have not found the answer ( if its out there please point me in that direction ). I am loving this rom and it worked great for the first day, now it won't send sms ( but can receive). I can make calls fine and data is fine just continues "sending" texts. I found a lot of people having this issue but never found a thread with a fix listed. Please help as I don't want to have to go with another ROM
I found that some messages are randomly going thru but it does not show on my phone, either shows as failed or still sending. I have tried my apn settings and cleared cache and fixed permissions. Anyone have any other ideas? getting desperate
Did you do a Clean install of the Rom ? Did you restore any Data ? Did you Restore messages ? Have you Updated PRL / Profile ?

Hi guys !
After installing the cm11 (v. 20131209 -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525351) I ran into two problems, that it seems I'm the only one here to have.
1) My APNs are empty. I can't manually add any, and it is impossible to import the old via "VPN Backup & Restore". Both solutions don't give me any error message, but just nothing is created. So I can not access the network at all.
2) Problem much smaller, but still weird: All my sms and phone contacts are deleted, despite I restored /data. It is impossible to recover it even by manually copying mmssms.db or contacts2.db from my old system (4.3), or by using "SMS Backup & Restore". Still no error message, but nothing.
I note that I have wiped cache and system and I installed gapps. Permissions of each .db are good, I also tried to fix permissions.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Maguro; GSM/HSPA+) - GT-I9250
Recovery: twrp-2.6.3.2-maguro
Is it a cm11 bug ?
Thanks for your help.
Olivier
I'm using official cm so haven't experienced this issue. It seems like something has gone wrong during the flash.
I would suggest wiping, system, data, cache and dalvik.
Also what gapps did you use? You could try flashing pa 0 day gapps, log out then back into Google and see if your contacts are restored.
If you still have problems you might want to consider changing to official CM.

Hey d3xp2pc, thanks for your answer,
There is no official stable cm11 for GN yet. I'll give the last nightly a try, to see if I still have the same problem.
I tried wiping everything, and flashed many times to try differents things, but still.
About gapps, sorry I just realized I wasn't clear in my previous post. My google contacts are correctly restored after sync, but some of my contacts are just stored in phone, and I couldn't get them back (it's like 4.3 and 4.4 contacts2.db and mmssms.db databases are not compatibles).
I haven't tried 0 day pa gapps, I used gapps-kk-20131208. I'll try the official one, but I don't think it will fix any of my problems (apn and sms), does it ?
Actually, I have the exact same problem with the cm-11 nightlies (and pa_gapps-full-4.4-20131126-signed).
I still can't get to the network because APNs are empty, and I can't restore the old ones as well as create new ones.
Same problems for sms as well.
What's wrong? I am the only one? Everything works well with the stock 4.3.
Thanks

In CM 11 I am not even able to access the APN menu. The option is darkened and can't be clicked. It's as if I am being refused access to modify my APNs, when they clearly are in need of modification. I seriously doubt these issues are user related. I had the same issue with SlimKat.
I know a lot of people have had issues using Cyanogenmod on MVNO networks, mostly with data services. I was able to find a fix in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340437&highlight=s3.
The CM10.2 fix worked straight from installing the .zip in clockworkmod, but for the CM11 fix I had to overwrite the "apns-conf.xml file" in the "CM11/system/etc" .zip, and then flash the whole CM11.zip after factory resetting my phone. I was finally able to get LTE service this way.
However, my issue is that I still can't send MMS, even though the mmsc is already set to "http://mms.plspictures.com" which is the MMS URL for Ting. Has anyone figured out a fix for this, or why it's happening?
EDIT: Just figured it out.
Part 1: So after flashing a working APN list to get LTE, I downloaded a messaging app that allows you to input MMS settings within the app. I'm using 8sms, but Hangouts might work too. I just used the MMS settings from the working APN list. I tried it on the stock app and it didn't work.
Part 2: I'm only able to send/receive SMS when data AND wi-fi are both enabled, I'm not sure why. I'm also updated to CM 11 M8, so I'm not sure if this would have worked on earlier versions. It's weird because I know that I was able to get MMS over data alone on 10.2
