Hello,
I am hoping someone can help me with the following issue.
I just recently rooted my Virgin Mobile HTC One V, and whenever I attempt to update my binary to 3.1.3 [Latest] it seems that when I reset my phone to take effect, when I try to launch the app it says that is corrupted and I lose my root!
Please anyone can help would be wonderful!

When ever I checked my "Rooter Checker" it would say this device is not properly rooted. Then when I root it again it would fix the problem. Aside from this that maybe I'm wrong do you have any info on what's going on with my superuser? Thanks

I will look into "Super Su" and no its not the same. Without the binary update for jelly bean and ice cream sandwhich, its basically useless. Won't grant permissions.

Did you try turning it off and back on again?
Need a little more info...
The replacement I recieved's firmware can not.be.downgraded for the S-Off root. With the software being 2.3.4, revolutionary will not root. All this.being said, i.have not been able to find a successful way to downgrade. I have tried all the ways I have found on XDA as well as google and the only one they said would work was Tacoroot and I havent been able to get my computer to get it to work.

Tell us where you are getting stuck, I got my dinc2 with the same setup you have and (after swearing a lot and crying a little) I got s-off and am now running ICS. We are here to help. Calm down and breath, the community here is very helpful. Also, read everything VERY carefully, if you don't do everything juuuuust right it won't work for you.

Thank you for the help!! After hours of reaserch I was able to get S-Off and all of it! Very glad but dont want to look.at a computer screen for a week or two.... Lol

You can actually force SuperUser on with the SU zip file. But, you need to have an unlocked BootLoader.
You can unlock your Bootloader from HTC's DevSite.
There is also a video from someone on YouTube named FlamingAiro. The video was posted June 19th, 2012. It's SUPER easy once you understand.
I would link you but the forum prevents me because I have not made enough posts for outside links.
I already rooted and am currently running cm10

Ah, I appologize; I didn't see you rooted it. My browser glitched out for a second.
Enjoy the root!
Also, a good ROM that has ICS and Sense 4.0 is UKB Evolution 1.1. :3
I have that as well but I'm trying to decide whether to stick with CM10 or sense 4.0.....
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda app-developers app
I think that Sense 4 is a nice OS and that CM10 has a LOT of bugs. It is still in dev form.
Sense 4.0 for the DINC2 (Vivow) is MuCH more stable and has better response. Also, saves your battery.
So I used the Odin one touch root here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1835033&highlight=fh13+root
And it all seems to work fine, and I even got the PASS in the program, but when it rebooted, I got the Android System Recovery.
I hit reboot device in the Android System Recovery and it turned out that my device was not rooted, didn't even get the Super User app...thing.
So any help is appreciated with my situation. I did make sure I have ICS and FH13.
Did you use the rooted one? I think it's in post 2?

I've been complaining about not having it for too long to not at least give it a chance. I've still got my Nexus 4 for the rooted stuff.
Used up my device limit so it doesn't work anyway. Have emailed Sky to complain and reset my limit for this month..... Lol

Tried that this morning, doesn't work. Didn't work on One X either.
It installs for me but says I need to be connected and takes me to my wifi settings. Of course I'm online.
Wth is Sky Go anyway?

Stuck on Boot (Paranoid animation screen)
Hi Guys,
i just recently did paranoid custom rom but it stuck on boot i did all according to instructions as on
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1794562
What I did was
- flashed the rom using cwm
- reboot to bootloader
- flashed the kernel Hellboy boot-HELLBOY-CM9-201212152218 ( fails while flashing)
- tried to boot...
- stuck on Boot screen
Cleared all the cache / data / devik as well on both occasions
but
plz help me out guys......
So you flashed a cm9 kernel? That's your problem. You need to flash a cm10 kernel.

Turn airplane mode on and turn it off again. You'll connect this time, I don't know what causes it though

I've tried that before, but it just doesn't want to connect. The only way to turn on 3G seems to be to reboot the phone, which is why I think it may be a baseband/kernel issue?
Anyone on pa2.99, can confirm how much time does it require for you to achieve a GPS lock?

No. If you ain't rooted you cannot alter system files. Period.
Or you can go the hardware route and open your phone and check the connectors, don't need root for that.
Opened mine up put some tin foil in and now I'm getting full bars where I didn't before.

That will depend on the situation. If it's hardware return to warranty for exchange. And if software wait for the fix by htc or root and enjoy.
