[Q] Need help to restore Kindle Fire - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I was attempting to install a custom ROM my Kindle Fire and was successful in rooting it, installing TWRP and installed a custom ROM, Simple CM9.
When the Kindle rebooted, the Simple CM9 loader appears, but then the system just hangs there. Now, when I do a reset but holding down the power button, the system boots up, but once again starts loading Simple CM9 which gets stuck in a few seconds.
I found some posts on the net, which say I would see a yellow triangle from TWRP but I do not see anything of this sort.
Can anyone help ?

You're still able to access TWRP, right?

No I am not able to now. I did access it the first time when I installed the Simple CM9 ROM using it, but no clue how to get back to it now.
Also not able to detect the device using ADB.

Do you have the blue and white Kindle Fire logo?

No I cannot. It is not recognized by the Kindle Fire utility.

You'll probably need a factory cable to get into fastboot.

Listen. The first and second generation Kindle Fires are vastly different in what you're allowed to do with them. So once again, for the third time, what Kindle Fire are you running?

Unfortunately, you have bricked (broken) your device... perhaps permanently. None of the how-to guides for the original Kindle Fire will work on the Kindle Fire 2. Using them on the KF2 will almost certainly make them unbootable. You found this out the hard way.
There is currently no procedure to unbrick the KF2 in cases like yours. Flashing u-boot for the Kindle Fire onto the Kindle Fire 2 was the worst possible thing you could have done because the KF2 is unable to boot from it and there's no known way to replace it.
Sorry for the bad news. Live and learn.
but if I buy the usb factory think I can clear all

You are wrong. The factory cable will do nothing for you in this situation. The bootloader that your device came with was signed. Unless you are able replace it with the same signed bootloader, you will probably not get your device back. I sympathize with you. It is a tough lesson to learn but you should have been aware of the risks before you started getting into something you know nothing about.
The only suggestion I can give you (and it's probably a long shot) is to extract the bootloader from the software update downloaded from the Amazon Kindle Fire 2 website and flash it with fastboot. Since you flashed TWRP, you'll likely have to do the same for the original recovery as well.
Even then, I think it's highly unlikely you'll get your device working again.

The bootloader handles fastboot and detects for the presence of a factory cable. You broke your bootloader by flashing a u-boot meant for a different device. Without a working bootloader, the factory cable does not help you.
Your only hope is to use usbboot to load a new bootloader over USB, but that requires a signed aboot binary. The chances of that getting leaked out of Amazon is probably near zero. Sorry. All you're going to get is bad news.
A factory cable will not work the damage you have done Is permanent untill a solution is found and at this point there`s no solution.

(Q) bricked kindle (not usual) (solved)

Hello guys.. I am not new to the kindle fire 1st generation... however this time its different.
I went from ICS back to stock... but it bricked in the process. I tried different things in the KFU and the KF unbrick utility.
no luck.. PC sees the KF and it installed the drivers. but KFU doesnt see it at all. I did instal the drivers that came with the KFU.
any ideas would be great. thanks
All little more specific instead of "it just bricked" did you notice everything different? Still have FFF? Try to see it in fast boot?
sometimes in very cases, KFU will say that the device is offline but in fact if you try to do one of the options, it will end up working.
and yes, a little more info would be helpful
Just stuck at the KF stock logo... i cant get it into fastboot. (I have next to 0 xp with adb, i usually use kfu) I have restored my kindle to stock before... and bricked it many times. But everything that worked for me before doesnt anymore. I suspect it might be a driver issue. (Being i am using a different PC than last time)

Ok Using the three images from the link you sent fixed me
I had to use the files from "KFFirstAide" with those images
However the software version is 8.1.4 and update is grey
Do I need root access and enable OTA updates?

Ok used
KFFirstAide
And enabled OTA support then charged the battery and the kindle did the updates
So now I am back to stock 8.4.6 and it's running fast again.
Thanks so much for your help man!
By the way I am thinking of getting the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 - 64G
What do you think?
I'd wait until we have a confirmed root exploit and/or boot loader exploit before getting one, but that's just me.

[Q] KIndle Fire 2nd Gen Won't Turn On

Hi
I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2100963
to install twrp and second bootloader. After reboot the device powered down at the grey kindle fire logo and won't boot at all even when connecting the factory cable.
I'm guessing this is completely bricked but can anyone suggest anything?
Cheers
J
Yea the 2013 HD doesn't have the ability to install twrp + 2nd bootloader, if you flashed a bootloader from a previous model it would make sense why it doesn't turn on, it hard bricked it.

Wiped First Gen Kindle Fire now its stuck in a boot loop with force close errors

I bought a kindle fire second hand that had Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on it and i went to reset it back to the factory settings by downloading the newest Kindle software and following instructions online. It had TWRP as the loader on it and now when I use the KFU it will not let me change the boot mode (says it is unknown). No matter what I do the Kindle will not get out of the boot loop. Please help!!

installing stock is a little tricky
because it reinstalls stock recovery & bootloader, so no twrp or fff
you need to factory reset in twrp before rebooting
if doesn't boot to stock rom, you need a fastboot cable
