i restarted my phone and its stuck on bootloop, what do i do?
Try reflashing the ROM without wiping. BTW, for better help, honestly, you need to explain a lot more than the 3-4 words you have posted.
Actually i got the same prob. I disconnected from usb without pressing turn off (i use cyanogen 7.0.3 stable). After doing so, adw launcher didnt seem to respond so i decided to reboot. After that, i got boot loop on reboot. Flashing the rom again seems to solve the problem, but only until next reboot. Any suggestions?

The same type of question,2-3 sentance, no spec of phone. Dude post your spec.

Nop,not necessarily. Cos some will do it as default. But some wont. But it will do no harm if u do, other than consuming 2-5 minutes .

Ok , then the option remaining is restore from backup. If u have the backup of current rom, go to advanced backup in cwm and do system resrore only. And check if it works. If it wont, do full wipe and do a complete restore. No more optns.:-(

i dont have a backup, unfortunantly, looks like i will have to wait until future releases of splash ics then to see if the problem is with other wildfires trying to run that ROM or if it is just mine :-(
Should i redownload the rom to see if that works for me?
Tried wiping data/cache/dalvik cache/system/data-factory reset, and then reflash? 1st boot always takes more time btw.

I used CWMR and installed this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778190
When I power it on, it stays on a Boot Animation screen (a colorful X that glows) for an indefinite amount of time. I left it there for around an hour before giving up and restoring to my backup (rooted) Gingerbread.
Anyone know what might be my problem? Thanks.
P.S: I searched the thread, I couldn't find a solution to my problem.

I dont run the script but i do wipe internal sd data cache system and pre partitions. I have also tried various recoveries and still happens, its somehow kernel related, it always happens with latest perseus, but today it happened with sotmax and neak kernel, once i had it working i reflashed sotmax again with neak (full wipe) and camera failed. Again i can easily fix this by flashin stock or older perseus reboot to system check the camera and then flash what i want

Why dont you try to reflash stock rom thru pc odin and see what happen? If the problem still exists then you can claim your warranty.

Hi,
I was trying to flash my Evo 4G Supersonic to Unofficial Dirty Unicorns 4.2.2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2346016&page=3) rom and got stuck on the boot animation for over 1/2 hour, it never booted.
I am safe now because I restored to my original rom, (MIkG 3.11 which is gingerbread) but I really would like to upgrade this phone to a newer OS version before I have to finally say good bye to it and go with whatever phone companies are giving for free.
I'm using Revolutionary CWM v4.0.1.4 to flash this ROM, and I'm cleaning data and cache before flashing the ROM and GAPPS. My SD Card is also partitioned to use APP2SD and it works well in my current ROM.
Has anyone experienced this same issue? or can you recommend any steps I may be missing?
Thank you
Rich

Hi,
I have the Google Play Edition rom installed on T-Mobile Galaxy S4. I have accidentaly deleted the Clockworkmod folder from the internal storage. Now I can reboot in CWM recovery however on the main CMW screen I see a "Warning: No File_Contexts".
Should I be worried about this? Will I able able to flash a different rom, do and restore a nandroid back up with this warning?
If not what should I do to make the warning disappear?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance...

Are you using the original cwm? If so you can download Rom manager from the market .and if your using another version of cwm that was developed by one of xda developer then yes you would need to use Odin to reflash.

Thanks, I'm using original CWM. I was able to do nandroid back up without issues and then successfully flashed a ROM as well as mods.
I did see in one of the thread that quite a few people encountered that issue but they just ignored it, which is what I did.

I also get this no file_contexts error.
I updatet from CMW 6.0.3.3. to CMW 6.0.3.6 via ROM Manager. Than I reinstalled 6.0.3.6 again to see if error goes away, but this error is still there.
But it seems that error does not have an effect.

Yeah I just got my phone yesterday, and I've had this problem every time I've booted into CWM Recovery. I updated, tried different versions - didn't matter, still get the "no file_contexts" error.
I even tried TWRP and OUDHS Recovery, and had the same issue. I don't know what exactly is causing it, but it hasn't really negatively affected anything that I can see.
Just ignore it. Everything works fine.

i can't make a nandroid, so i just mounted whatever can be mounted and retried it. the same error still appears, but was able to make a nandroid backup successfully already.
Don't worry about it. Just about every current cwr for every phone has this "error". Just a harmless bug

I have the same error message and I have no problem making nandroid backups. I always check the option bank up to external sd card. It works perfectly fine. Also flashes go just fine too. Don't worry about the error message. Not sure but I think saying no files are backed up to INTERNAL storage which is fine because you generally want them stored on your EXTERNAL sd storage anyway. If they went to internal you would loose most of your phones memory with a few backups. So don't worry. All is well. Just store your nandroid to external sd card. When its time to restore simply choose backup from EXTE R NAL sd card. So don't worry about that message. Hope this helps
the error message is gone in CWM 6.0.4.4.
