My phone reboot after freezing for 10 seconds. And then after the boot animation it showed a black screen (the phone was still on at that time). Then I pulled the battery and try to reboot. Now it is act like there is no battery inside and completely dead. The PC detect nothing even I connect it via a USB cable.
Any clue?

the pc now recognize OMAP4400. So i downloaded a zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1925468. and then i installed the driver and run the .bat.
the below then showed up.

what should i do now?
update: just find that the devices i installed is OMPA4460, not 4440. The computer identify it as OMAP4440 at the beginning and after i install the driver it turned to OMAP4460. It is a reason of the error?
i tried another OMAPflash from the internet.
seems better, but still the operation failed at some point.

There's an un brick thread in the Development section that might help. Sorry can't figure out how to link on the phone.
Can't offer much other than to make sure you have the proper drivers on your pc for adb and fastboot.

hello guys,
1 month ago my galaxy nexus just bricked, and i don't know why?
i was unlocking my password then just stunned and won't be able to power on..i though that was the battery problem so i bought a new battery, but some how it still won't power on...so i when to google and search how to unbrick galaxy nexus, but no luck...try many method but i still can't power on...but the only thing i found out when i plug in my usb without the battery it will show out OMAP 4440 is this a soft bricked or completely dead? can i still fix it...the only thing i haven't try is usb jig...will it works? or i can fix it using usb jig? some one please teach me....PLEASE

Any News? I got the same Problem.....
As you can see from the title this is not a happy post...
I read many posts here at xda-developers and many others at other places but I did not find an answer to my questions.
My Galaxy Nexus does not show anything on the screen when I press the power button. It does not even vibrate.
It does not go either into fastboot or into download mode.
Here is what I've tried in attempt to recover the phone:
1. Pulled out the battery
2. Plugged the phone to the PC with USB wire
3. When I saw omap4440 in device manager i double clicked on it and installed the windows driver from OMAPFlash_tuna.zip. The driver was installed successfully.
4. Unplugged the phone
5. Started omap4460_tuna_hs_pro.bat
6. Plugged the phone to the PC with the USB wire
7. The phone was detected. Here is what I get in the console window:

So my phone was in a bootloop but i could still get to recovery so i thought great ill just flash another rom. so i flashed another rom after doing all the neccesary wipes but my phone is still in a boot-loop, something mustve of went wrong because now my phone is in a bootloop BUT now it cant boot into fastboot or recovery so is there anyway i can salvage my phone :/. it still boots up just doesnt do anything:crying:

Can it boot in download mode? Volume down + power
If yes flash with odin

You ran the wrong file, the gnex have a OMAP 4460, not a 4430.

ahh i see thank you i ran the right one and it worked fine no errors everything went fine but my phone is still the same :/ it shows up in device manager as samsung phone tho...

Today the screen on my phone started flashing green, and the phone was non-responsive. I took the battery out and reinserted it. After that, the phone wouldn't boot. When connected to the computer, it is detected as OMAP4440.

The selected one (without the yellow sign) is the phone itself, as that one disappears when I disconnect the phone.
P.S. I am using Windows 8, but have installed the drivers using advanced boot options. However, the same error is reported on Windows 7 machine.
Anyone??
Try downloading and opening the free Play store app "eMMC Brickbug Check." If your eMMC chip is fried, you may want to check mobiletechvideos.com. Good luck!

The phone won't boot broskibro.
Anyways I've seen this happen before on phones like the Droid RazR.
You're having some hardware failure buddy, not really sure what to tell you, was this on stock? You may have fried something with overclocking. I overclocked to 1.8GHz on Vanir and not too later it froze and turned purple. Learned my lesson there, thankfully everything is ok on it.

Hi to everybody
I'm writing this in search of your help as I can't find a solution to my hard bricked gnex.
Yesterday I was surfing the net with my phone and suddenly it rebooted two times and crashed,,,
I wasn't able to either turn it on or charge it, now my terminal is totally unresponsive except for omapflash.
problem is that as you can see in the log I can't download EMMC driver
(if a mod explain to me how to do so I'll put this text into a spoiler tab so the post will be neater thx)

what can I do? I already tried a self made usb jig with nno results
(I'm not an expert in solddering though so maybe something went wrong in the procedure)
is there any way I can learn how to go past this frustrating situation? (I bought a nexus thinking to be able to experiment and learn something new by almost avoiding the risk of making my phone a futile brick, There MUST be a way please help)
Also on a sidenote my phone is one of the famous c8 that had proximity sensor problems...
