Tried updating using sony update service and sony bridge, but to no effect. it gets to the point where it say apps are updating and just hangs there forever
So I downloaded Flashtool and tried downloading latest ICS but to no effect so I tried several other versions and the only one that will work is 6.0.A.3.75 which I believe is gingerbread. I then tried ugrading to latest version via sony update but same problem occurs and I have to reinstall gingerbread via flashtool.
Has anyone else had the same problem?
I wonder if there might be something on the hard drive that is preventing ics from updating and installing?
Well whatever it is I really need your help, this is driving me crazy
Thanks

Hi!
I've installed the new android 2.3.3 and my camera would not work kept not responding, so I re-installed the software same thing. Does anyone has the Idea on how to fix this kind of problem?
Please help.
Thank you in advance for your quick response.
As I understand this should now be fixed by doing a software repair via PC Companion. So I suggest that you try it again.
Let me know if it still doesn't work.
reinstall your phone with SEUS or update a newer rom.....
hi everyone,
ive got a big problem with my play store, whatever rom i use (even tried stock ruu) i cant download any apps, they either dont even start downloading, get stuck at downloading, or get stuck while downloading. any ideas how to fix this? already tried wiping everything and all those standard things.
Is the gapp compatible with your rom? I've had issues in the past with play store n realised I had the likes of an Ics play store on a jelly bean rom n that can cause issues.

the gapps were already in it when i flashed the rom (got a sense rom installed at the moment) so id assume that they are, and like i said doesnt even work on stock ruu which for sure has compatible gapps.

the strange thing is, it worked like it should 2 days ago, and i still have the same wifi setup (router and encryption) so that shouldnt be the problem.

does anyone expirianced the same problam lik i do and fixed it somehow ?

I had the same problem. My solution was when i restart the phone i check again for soft.update and the phone find the JB update. Its was strange 'coz hours before i was updated to 4.0.4,so after the instalation of jb i updated the camera and people updates without problems.
Maybe its only for jb but its comes before the jb itself.
Try that method.

That stupid failing camera update was preventing me from updating to Android 4.1.1 OTA
I recently upgraded my Sony Xperia S (LT26) to Android 4.1.2 and everything was working well for a week... until the camera stopped mid-photo. I had been taking photos during the day and everything was fine, so I tried to start up the camera again and it crashed and said 'Camera not available'. I restarted the phone, but still the same issue.
I tried clearing all camera settings, tried a full settings reset, tried using the Sony Update Service to reinstall the 500MB update then tried a complete factory reset (including photos etc), but still nothing.
Any ideas what I can else I can do?
You could try flashing Cm10...
But for this you have to unlock your Bootloader.

Thanks, but unfortunately that didn't work either! I tried both the .200 and .211 files, but neither made a difference.
Could it be something to do with water damage, even if the water happened 3 months ago (and it's been fine since)?
Hi Everyone! I have a very annoying problem with Reboots.
I have Xperia ZL 6506, Bought a week ago.
I have Jelly Bean 4.2.2 (with latest firmware) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459497
. But it makes no difference, because I tried 4.3. too and it didn't make any difference.
Tried Full Wipe! Tried ,422 and 2.67 firmware versions.
I had an Xperia arc S, and it went well with that, so I tried to install Custom Rom on Xperia ZL too.
Made my phone Root.
I tried everything, till I flashed the ROM and it gave me Random reboots.
Now I am on Stock Firmware, ROOTED, Bootloader Locked and having Random reboots (with no link to why it happens).
Wi-fi isn't guilty, because it happens with on and off Wi-fi Too.
One more, I tried repairing it with Sony PC studio, but it gives me "Sony Update Engine Failure (Error 1601). "
Please help me. I am sitting about 7hours and have found no solutions for me! I have an SD Card 16 GB (Came with the phone) - Tried to format it many times and nothing changed maybe Internal card is the problem?

Many have had this problem with the ZL and mine also to have this problem...the problem maybe lies with the internal battery...you need to send to Sony service center for replacement...cause nothing in this forum can solve that issue...just if you brave enough, you could change the internal battery yourselves to test if that's the problem...
