I have looked back at other posts to see if there was a solution to this. From what I have found and tried, I still can't get my email messages read aloud while in driving mode. I have enabled S-Voice, while in driving mode and have tried just driving mode. The only voice prompt I get is that I have a new message? Is there a solution for this or does this require a 3rd party apps? If so, could you recommend one.
Thanks!
I use the DriveSafe.ly app for that.

I was using this on my BB and it worked flawlessly. Not the case with the Note 2. Will not connect to my BT and I cannot set up my MS Exchange for work emails (only supports POP or IMAP). Very disappointed with the Android version of this app.

Yes, rooted
I haven't been on a stock rom rooted yet, but, if I remember correctly, the only email it will read is gmail, not email from a regular email app..
does it read texts correctly?
in language and input, are you set for tts sound or pico or google?

You say you have a bt headset? Does it have an app to read email to you. Motorola and jawbone apps both do this, what type of bt are you using?

Mightytext
Mightytext is amazing and works really well. It also has a chrome plugin, so it's great if you also want to send texts from your PC. It also alerts you to phone calls and if your battery is running low.
But... it doesn't work with whatsapp, just sms.
Anyone know of an app or a workaround that will allow control of whatsapp via tablet to phone?
Go SMS has always been my SMS and MMS app of choice, and it always worked flawlessly for me; that is until I began using Jelly Bean ROMs. For the most part, it still works, but there has been one REALLY annoying issue that I can't seem to figure out. No matter what notification ringtone I set for a particular contact, that's not the one that plays when I do a test notification or when that person texts me. Is this an issue with my settings or with incomplete compatibility with Jelly Bean? I solved the problem by using Handcent, but I'd much rather be using Go SMS! Any help would really be appreciated!

Maybe because it hasn't been updated to be fully compatible with JB?

It works fine for me on jelly bean.
I have a related question. I want to use go SMS but it runs a constant service. Anyone know why? Is it possible to not have it run as a service? Drives me nuts.

Do different notification ringtones for different contacts work for you?
I never tried but will let you know.

I think it signs in automatically when you I stall the app. Don't remember, used it long ago, but I did read about it signing in automatically a few days ago somewhere.

I'm trying to tether my rooted Motoactv to my Epic for internet and to transfer SMS to it. I'm running Froyo, on stock but rooted and heavily modified. Is there an app that can enable bluetooth tethering? I'm running Nook Color Tether on my watch but it won't connect. Would also appreciate a recommendation for the SMS sharing as well. Thanks!

I apologize, I wasn't sure if this was a straight up question or more of a discussion type topic. But thanks for the response! I used it initially but it negated Motoactv, but I might give it a shot with tablet talk.

For Sms, download a Sms backup app( one that backs them up to your google account) backup on one phone to your account, download app on the other phone and restore.

I apologize, I wasn't clear. I don't want to migrate the texts to my watch, I want to duplicate the functionality of the watch and have them sent simultaneously to my phone and the watch. The watch, as it stands, notifies me when I get texts on my phone. The functionality is shoddy at best and easily disconnects, so I'd like an Android app that does it better to replace it now that the watch is capable of running such apps.

I'm not sure if this is a known issue or not? I have searched and haven't come up with much. I can't get the voice dialer to work with Bluetooth on my I317M. On my previous phones, when I would activate the bluetooth headset the dialer would launch and a voice would say "Speak now".
Now, the voice dialer launches, but doesn't say anything. It will then repeatedly flash "Try Again".
Does anyone know of a fix or have any ideas? I've attached a log.
Cheers!

Yup, none of the ROMS on 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 work.
Is it not interesting that the S4 will come with 4.2.1?

Thanks for the response.
Is that just with the Note2? I know it was working with 4.2.2 on my GNex.
I also did find this - https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-56 which appears to be the same issue but for the S3. It just got a fix recently.
I was hoping something similar would fix the issue for the Note2.

Nope. It's just the stock Google Voice Dialer that I've always used.
What kind of bt headset do you have? A lot of them have their own apps with voice dialers that are more accurate (imo) than the stock one. Just a thought

I have 2. A Jabra Drive speaker, and a Motorola H375 headset. They don't have their own apps as far as I've seen.
Is there a way to activate Google Now through Bluetooth?
I know with my bt headset (moto sliver) I can assign an app to option when I press the action button, and I have it set to open Google now.

I remember reading about a app called Tablet talk. Basically from what I understand you connect the devices through Bluetooth or WiFi (maybe either) and you can get you calls and text sent to you tablet (assuming you close enough for a connection).
A quick search turned this up (apparently there is more than one app):
http://thedroideffect.com/tablet-talk-vs-mighty-text/
Mighty text is also great for what you want. It will sheet you phonecalls and even allow you to ext from all of your devices and your PC.

I'd recommend MightText as well, but with their privacy service being such they can share your info with certain groups when they want, kills it for me.
I bought Tablet Talk a couple days ago and haven't looked back. I mean, it is a secure BT or Wifi connection just between the devices you activate, no outside party or servers involved. It's really quick, has quick popup, calling through BT headset, etc. I find it to be fantastic for what I need/want.

Where did you here that? What private info is shared with who and how do you know your other one doesn't?
Also, are you just a user or are you connected with this one you suggested?

Didn't hear anything. Read through MightyText's quite creepy privacy policy. http://mightytext.net/privacy When you start using a "free" service, you become the service.
The one I talk about wouldn't be able to as it is a simple "ad-hocish" type network between the two devices. No internet, no servers, no data, just devices talking to each other. http://www.tablettalkapp.com/faq/
I am fully just a user mate who digs the app I suggested. Use it all the time here at home and at my job. Sorry if I sound like I may be selling it, once again I just really enjoy the privacy factor of it.
Wouldn't having Google voice on both devices solve your problem? I have Google voice linked to my HTC One as my voicemail client, and I can see all my sms messages, missed calls and voicemails on both devices, although the ui leaves much to be desired. Haven't tried to make any calls on my N7 though so I can't speak on that one.
