[Q] About CWM USB Mount - HTC One X

Firstly I apologise if such a question has already been asked, and also if I've posted it in the wrong thread.
I've been wondering, does USB mount in CWM work if I'm using a JB 4.2 ROM? In relation to that, does the version of android determine whether this feature works or is it the version of CWM installed that determines it?
I'm new to CWM and all things root, and HTC One X is my first Android phone (Yay! ) so if this is a (pardon my language) "stupid" question please forgive me >.<

Cwm is seperate from the android version you're running. Doesn't influence it

So it'll still work then? Thanks a lot!

Can I not flash older firmware ?

Hi forum...
In the Sonyericsson X10 section, we have a flash util, so we can flash whatever firmware version we want...
Do something like that not exist for the desireHD ?

Thanks for your answer..
So there is no flashtool to use, in order to revert back to an older Rom like them we have available to our X10 phones ?
The x10 can be flashed with all kind of stock roms using a simple flashtool, and without any changes like Root and s-off things...
The tool probably act like Sonyericssons update service SEUS..
But to understand this correct, there is no way back at all for us who didn't think about it, and just updated to the latest firmware ?
I'm sorry for the questions, but many things is called something else, and looks completely different here at desire hd section, when I am used to the x10 terms...
So it is all a little confusing...

Take a look in the Android Development section of the DHD Forum and you will find all you need. You do need to get root and then RADIO S-OFF but there are two simple tools to achieve that. See HERE for the guide.
If u accepted the latest OTA and did not have radio S-OFF then there is no way back................at the moment.

Latest HTC update?

Hi guy's
I'm running sense 3.0 and latest Android version from HTC. My phone is not rooted at all, but I would like to root my phone but still keep the update from HTC can I do that I don't want to put any other Rom's on at the moment but may do so in the future.
So can this be done?
If so what would need to do any help would be greatfull, so many things to look at on xda just don't know where to start.
Thanks again guys

You can root your phone and istall a custom ROM with sense 3.0. You can find plenty of room that are basically stock, just rooted, meaning everything is the same like the one you are running now except superuser and busybox have been added.

I don't think there is a kernel for dual boot on HOX
I know of siyah kernel for SGS3 forums only.

im so desperate to try that cyanogenmod10 on my hox

I don't think there is a way to have a dual boot but when you root your phone you can make a back up of your current ROM (the stock one) before you flash your Cyanogenmod. There are lots of threads here that'll help with this.
So there was a way to save my stock rom but does it change something like not reciving updates from htc or any other thing i mean the side effects for saving the rom or it will just continue as it was ?

In order to root you will have to unlock your bootloader and flash a custom recovery. These stop your phone from getting automatic updates.

Thanks to all replyes im giving up ill stick with the stock rom ..

Flashing ROM

Hi, I have a small query. I've recently gotten root privileges on my phone HTC Inspire 4G, I have unlocked the bootloader but I'm still S-ON. I wonder if I can install an ICS ROM or JB. And what kind of ROM, if AOSP or other, greetings.

Yes you can. Check post #7 in my signature.

If you are so kind to give me the direct link because I'm mobile would be eternally grateful if you tell me what is the best ROM for my I4G / DHD
Sent from my Desire HD using xda app-developers app
It's the Ace Think Tank thread in DHD General. And no one else can answer the best ROM question; the best ROM is the best ROM for you and your phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30020025
The info is in a pdf file.
Best rom is subjective.

I read the document and said that only the S-Off can install customs ROMs. So to say that my I4G / DHD I can only set you AOSP ROMS? And if the only method Put the ROM on the root of the SD and flash from CWM Recovery? Sorry I'm kind of newbie's insistence

It's been a while since I've read it.... But there should be a section if you are only bootloader unlocked.
Edit: in short, aside from flashing the rom zip you need to flash the rom.img or something like that. There are several rom threads over the development section that detail how to get it done.
2nd EDIT: It's on PAGE 4.

Hello Guys,
Anyone knows where can I find a stock rom for a Desire 300 ? I've search on HTC Dev but I only found binaries to build one(I think), but I don't have much time to play with it myself.
I saw #nabel_sweed posted some stock rom but I'm not 100% sure how to install it on my brick. Do I need a ATP connection and to it old school, with recovery\boot via atp terminal on my PC ?
any updates for cyanogenmod ?
