[Q] ARC S - 1st OTG , 2nd Games Quitting - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello to all,
I'm getting several issues in My ARC S.
AT this moment i'm using the last arcknight kernel with OC at 1.6 Gzh , for my Rom i'm using Ultimate HD 2.0 updated to the last version 2.4 .
- I'm having problems trying to make work the OTG cable in my device, I already upload several drives and app's to try to make it work without success untill now.
- Other issue is during 3D games as several other members as in this forum the app just simply STOP and quit the Game to the main screen.
I new user at XDA, but i already have this kernel in my mobile for 1 mouth and the kernel for 1 week. Until now i'm very happy with the work developed here, but i'm facing this two problems that i would like to solve.
Keep with the good working that you all are doing here.
Best regards from Portugal to all (sorry for my English)

Maybe I can help you on the second problem. . . Which engine did you use on Uhd? Cause there are 2 options in AROMA. . If you choose multitasking you will have problems playin heavy 3d games . . You must choose perfomance engine. . . Which requires flashing the rom again I think!

Thank you a lot i will try to make factory reset to see if its possible to change it, if not i will flash the rom again and see if it solves the problem. This was my main issue the OTG its a secondary issue not very important.
Than i will tell you if it works or not...

ICS is not good for game so I think u need flash a GB rom.
Sorry for my bad English.

Hello too all,
Games are working perfect flowing now =)
I install again the same ROM but during the install of Ultimate HD 2.0 i chose gaming mode in time to have multitasking mode. Now everything is flowing perfectly in the menus, Games etc. very fast and stable ROM i recomend =) even for games
For the first issue of the OTG cable i will try with other kernel, also because this last one from ARCKNIGHT with the OC takes a lot of my battery life.
Thank you to all anyway

Games working Perfect now =)

Just ask some of the moderators I thought you wrote two on purpose

use the new LuPuS kernel v10 --- supporting otg without flashing anything!
just run the lupus script in terminal to enable OTG
1 kernel supporting ICS and GB
(but wifi in GB is in progress, not working now)

I already try several kernel's trying to solve other issue and the only kernel i saw something different was advance stock kernel. Actually i'm at Rush V10 Kernel, until now for my usage it's the best one from the several i heaved tried. Also try to to put the modules for OTG drives manually at the System/lib/modules but the problem remains.

For USB OTG,i use an app called USB OTG manager,i have used it in many roms on my arc,it wrks flawlessly ,heres the g-play link-https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=wired.usbotg&hl=en

I'm not sure how the Cm7 rom or the m1ndh4x8r's rom help make the game faster .How does it works?
They can improve your performance and overclock your CPU, so games/apps run smoother and better. And you will get more memory for more games

I'm new here too!
Some custom ROMS don't support the touch pads.
You'r best bet is to go double check the compatibility list for the ROM

I'm "almost" certain its the ROM that doesn't support the touch pads.
To check compatibility go to the page from which you downloaded the rom. Once there you should find a section of updates and know bugs. The update section shows you whats been added and fixed.
The known bugs section shows the issues within the rom.
Read all comments and if then you still haven't found a solution or explanation, post your problem on their page and ask if anyone else is experiencing this issue.
i wonder what custom room does have a working touchpad.. anyway tnx mate.

Markphytons ics has working touchpads.
Sorry for my bad English. It's not my native language.
Main problem is that ICS roms not supporting Xperia Play touchpad. There few roms like Markphytons or CDork ICS unforunatelly touchpad not working in all of games.
Advice try to put different roms and see what works what not.
I tried few ICS and back to Gin2JellyBeans based on 2.3.4, it's stable, fast and touchpads works.
Btw there is threat that could help. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797280

Every game I've played on 2.3.3 plays on 4.0.4 with the touch pads, plus more.
I can play MC3, NOVA2 & N64OID with the touch pads. Maybe they recently updated it? IDK but I'm enjoying it!

@amin
I just read in the Xperia S threat that you are also developing a kernel for Xperia S. Could this be the missing link between S and Acro. Because what I read is that basically S rom should work for Acro as well besides the missing support for external SD Card. Would you kernel bridge this problem e.g. could we flash a S rom with your Acro kernel and getting external SD card working?
When will this kernel be released?

It's the problem caused by the reader, not the phone or Android system. The power supply on OTG mode is restricted so that the battery wouldn't be drained too fast. Use another reader if possible.

1. Don't ask someone to recommend a ROM for you. There's something called the development section.
2. If you did some research you would know that both ICS and JB are not meant for gaming because they use more RAM for other functions and features. Use a GB based ROM if you want to use your phone for gaming.

Xperia M - Android 4.4 with move to SD card option

Hi ,
Presently I'm using Xperia M running on Archidroid 3.1.3 (CM12 / Android 5.1.1) . Its a great ROM and has move to SD option . But the only issue is ; because of ART even if many apps are on the SD card ; space left on the internal SD card is always very low ; few MBs to be precise .
I know mounting SD card as internal is an option ; but I would like to keep that for the last .
Is there any other method to overcome this space constraint ?
Also are there any 4.4 ROMS with move to SD option available ; like Sony original 4.4.4 for other Xperia devices ? (Tried Archidroid 2x ; but then I came to know CM11 forks doesn't support it )
Thanks in Advance
Yep, native moving to SD (Apps2SD) only partial solution.
Most data and ART-cache will still in internal memory.
Use Link2SD with 2nd partition on sdcard to move apps fully.
BTW here special old build CM11 (4.4) with Apps2SD.
CM12.1 (5.1) have it by default.
