Please Help With Developing Theme (using Jedi XX ROM) - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello Everybody!
I need help with theme development. So far I've searched the forum and did not find what I was looking for.
My theme I want is for the Samsung Note 2 Jedi XX MOD, but with a couple of differences.
I want to change the widget icons and notification icons with Zelda/ Link icons.
For example, Wifi icon changed to crossed swords, autosync icon changed to the triforce, bluetooth icon changed to navi, airplane mode icon changed to ocarina, etc.
Can someone help me out here? point me to the right direction on how to go about changing these icons please.
Thanks.

Did you check the general forum for android theming? There is a ton of great info in there.

UOT Kitchen

Hello people. I'm seeing alot of battery mod threads but if you want a little more customisation head over to the UOT kitchen and bake your own framework/system ui.
I did it yesterday and it worked perfectly. You just need clockwork recovery and your away.
Link : http://uot.dakra.lt/
Be sure to head over to this thread and hit thanks. Mendozinas put in alot of work :

I'm just putting this out there for people new to android or that don't know about the kitchen.
Its a great tool!
Enjoy!
Great heads up, i see ti now works with stock ROM's as well, wish they would add the CRT effect though.
this is a good website but unfortunately all that it changes for me is the battery icon and nothing else on status bar or notification area, i am confused whats up with it, its not just this its every theme i try to install does the same
well, the main prob with kitchen and our phones (S series and S2 too) is Touchwizz.
modifications via kitchen only affect framework-res.apk ;touchwizz needs modifications on twframework too.
knowing this, you can still use kitchen for :
-battery icons.
-notification icons
-glowing (at least for sliders bars and a part of the pop-up windows IF they aren't managed by twframework ).
haven't tried mods on status bars yet with my S2 but they were ok with my old galaxy S so it's probably the same.
P.S :
as always with themes, don't forget to wipe cache and dalvik cache after applying it viaCWM
hope it helps
Can someone provide me framework-res.apk and systemui.apk from stock KE7? Thanks.
How to submit it? I selected what I needed, uploaded framework-res.apk and systemui.apk but when I click Submit button nothing happens!
OK, I figured it out. But I can't select 'Transparent Status Bar' only, I don't want any modifications on status bar but just to make it Transparent! Maybe it's not allowed!

Can you choose status bar then not put a tick in the box for icons?
That should work.

It's working now
Well the Transparent Bar is not working for me. Just for me I just selected only Transparent Bar and nothing else, but it's the same damn black status bar in the end
Try with ADW launcher for the transparent statusbar and disable wallpaper hack
Hey all,
Just having an issue with UOT kitchen ever since I flashed to Lite'ning ROM 1.4 on KF1. Getting SHTF errors every time I try to cook files now, anyone else having this issue?
I created my first theme and it worked, however i lost the screen capture feature, does anyone know why?
Hi mendozinas,
Because i have changed my phone to GS S2(i9100) and would you please tell me this version UOT Kitchen whether support GS S2(i9100) + SpeedMod SGS2 [K1-T31 CWM4 CIFS ROOT] ?
Thanks!
I've cooked my battery icon for xxkg1 2.3.3 but i'm asking if is it possible to use the "SCB with %" (Version C, New charger for example) and hybrid charge animation.
Thanks!

Ain't you supposed to upload the twframework.apk along with the framework-res and systemui? I did and everything changed, battery, signal, wifi, alarm, menus, pop ups, font, everything I told it to its changed everytime.

Hi all, hope your well.
Thank you directing us to the kithen. I have tried to use but seem to have an issue. When I select a mod, and click generate preview, it doesnt do it. It tries to generate it but then just times out. Anyone else had/having the same issue? Am I missing something or could it just be my internet?
Everything else works fine on my internet.
Thanks in advance guys!!
EDIT: Sorted. It just started to work.

[Q] Theme questions

Hello everyone I am using this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=941055 it's the elite series III. I love everything about it I just for the life of me cannot figure out how to change just the icon in the titlebar. Alarm clock, battery status, 3g and 4g symbols. Can someone please assist. I unfortunately am new to this site so I cannot simply post into Koni's Thread and ask there.
What can I do to replace those icons?
I am not a newbie I bricked this phone many times but was able to fix it I have rooted thunderbolts, samsungs, and a few evos I just have no experience with theme stuff yet.
I would love to have the stock htc icons or even perhaps the cynagen mod icons those were awesome.

im not sure on sense but i know on other ROM's they hang out in the SystemUI in system/app if they are not in there then they will be in the HTC resources file in system/framework
on this one the icons for the title bar are all in com.resources.apk and the theme stuff is in framework.res.apk

i take it you found them then?
finding them was the easy part but every theme i download doesnt have a com.resources.apk so i have no clue how to find for example a new 4g icon and replace it.
sorry for bumping an old thread, but i searched and this is the most relevant thread title for my problem
Can anyone explain how flashing theme work? Because I tried flashing 3 different themes but nothing changed after rebooting. I did everything as told, wipe cache, dalvik etc but the theme just wont change. Is there something I should do to apply the theme after I flashed it?
Thanks before

[Q] Battery Theming on Xperia T Tabbed 'n' Grid Goggles

Hi!
I've taken a liking to soumya_digi's 4.1V of his Tabbed 'n' Grid Toggles, as well as the battery icons of FAdrums. I've tried mixing the two together, but I've been failing and I'd like some advice on how to proceed.
I've googled how to do it, and aside from using UOTKitchen (which seems too much work for simply changing the battery icon), I've found out that a way to replace the battery icon was by replacing the stat_sys_battery.xml, stat_sys_charge.xml and replacing the battery icons from drawable-hdpi from the SystemUI of FAdrums into soumya's Tabbed n Grid.
I did this, and lo and behold it works... sorta. When it isn't charging it's using a default battery percentage icon, while when it is plugged in, it shows the correct icon... right beside the default percentage icon. I've attached two screenshots to better explain what happened.
Did I miss an important step or something?
Thanks in advance!
no
no.
nice battery icon.

they are still white as i see or you mean without transparency or?
for apps icon like whatsapp ,facebook messenger ,viber system use apps icons which came with app they are in app,apk not in systemui.apk
and if you want change them than you have to change icons in apps ,apk for each app
but than you have problem with app signature
or you have solution to use some "white" CM theme which have all these icons already in it (i dont know which one because i never use white themes i hate white)
sorry for answer but i really dont understant what do you want to do
be more specific and maybe than i can help you :good:
and you have posted under wrong section you should post this under "Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting" section

[Q] ViperRom Theme questions

Hi Guys,
Is there any where with a guide to applying the awesome themes available for the Viper rom? Just a little worried that i will mess things up. On another note when i try to apply status bar themes from the hub some of the icons refuse to change, namely the venom hub icon and the wifi icon. Am i doing something wrong?
Thanks for your help.
Bigguss
Hi Guys,
Not normally in the habit of bumping my own posts but does no one have any suggestions here? I have flashed the dark one theme via recovery and still the status bar icons for the Wifi and Viperhub refuse to change to anything but the stock ViperOne icons?
