What are the chances of being able to implement the LG lock screen with 4.2.1. I think LG's lockscreen is the best one one i have ever seen. Thats the main reason i am not runniing 4.2.1 at the moment. I know its trivial but hey i am who i am.

Hey guys,
is there a way to get the original android lockscreen instead of the stock samsung one?
On the htc devices it was possible with simply deleting a system file, is there a similar way on the sgs2?
thx
PS: WidgetLocker is no solution for me because of problems with noled and power amp.
i'm interested too about aosp lockscreen for sgs2
I used widgetlocker but seems to affect my battery life. I would like the stock lockscreen.
yea, i am interested too. any avaliable?
In short, no.
@_JKay_ is working on it at the moment and if he fails we might have to bring in @dhiru from sgs forum to help out cause he is the one that first ported our lockscreen to sgs and he knows the most about it and why simple mod instructions from sgs do not apply here.

I'm looking for a way to customize the Jelly Beans lockscreen to replace Google Now (the one on the "up" position on the slide ring) with the Phone app.
I've seen that some custom ROMs have this, but I'd rather not flash a custom ROM, I just want to flash a mod on top of stock 4.1.1.
I did search the forum, but couldn't find one.
Does anybody know of a good way to do this?
Thanks!
learn. diy. watch how rom devs implement those changes.

If you don't want to flash custom Rom, get this app called widget locker. Which is not only customizable, but also really functional!

Thank you for the tip. I looked into this Widget Locker app, and it seems to be great feature-wise. But according to reviews, it seems to have several issues on Jelly Beans (slow/lags, makes user unlock to take a call, high memory consumtion, among others).
Ideally, I'd like a modded JB lockscreen to flash on top of my stock JB 4.1.1. Since that is already implemented in several custom ROM's, I figured someone might have done a stand-alone lockscreen mod to flash just that.
Is there a way to get the stock Galaxy S3 ripple lock screen on non-touchwiz roms? I love some of the customizations of CM10/AOKP and Parandroid, but miss the ripple lock which I find rather inviting. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

would definitely be one of the nicer things brought over from touchwiz. I also liked the news widget on the bottom of the lock screen
That is for sure. If the lock screen can be brought over, I would definitely go stick with CM10 or AOKP, due to their added customization options.
Hi,
I've looked everywhere for this, and can't seem to find it.
I'm looking for a very similar thing to cLock (formerly Chronus) from CM roms.
It allows not only time but weather to be shown on the lockscreen and still allow you to have security with pin or pattern locking.
I also searched through all apps/themes sections, and couldn't find this. I can't be the only one wanting password protection on a good looking lockscreen?! haha
I don't want to switch to CM rooms just for this, as I don't find them stable enough yet.
I've tried Go locker and still not getting what I's like.
I haven't tried Widget lockscreen as its not free, and I don't want to buy it and find out it doesn't have what I'd like.
Thanks for any sugestion/help..
Settled on Widgetlocker lockscreen with HD Widgets. Its beautiful, but no security. So I kept the stock lockscreen with patern. One annoyance is now I have to go through 2 screen to get to homescreen. Oh well, I can live with it.
This might be a dumb question, but is there any way to port over the 4.2 lockscreen over to a 4.1.2 ROM? I'm currently running Xylon ROM, but I miss multi-window and S-note. The only thing keeping me in this ROM is the lock screen which I love. I was using WidgetLocker on the stock ROM which was OK, but I like the way the 4.2 one works, especially with the swipe-to-the-right camera feature. Anyone know?
Yeah, there is no port and youve alreqdy run the closest substitute as far as I know. I love cLock on cm10.1 and I've found some decwnt widgets that kinda look similar, but it's not quite the same and we definitely don't have the swipe to camera.
