framework-res.apk (only for Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Takju de-odexed)
* Lockscreen rotation enabled
* 4-way rotation (FULL ROTATION)
* Multi user (MAX: 5 users)
* Multi user selector in the lockscreen "landscape" and "vertical" Thanks to rfmalta for modifying the one file to make multi user icons to look right in Nexus's lockscreen!
For Sprint and Verizon Nexus I need stock ROM's framework-res.apk

Why are there no posts on this thread? And where'd you get 4.2.2?
It was already released yesterday dude and 4.2.2 OTA is for nexus line only.... here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737849 or the one from OP signature.

Yep!
I forgot to mention that framework-res.apk has also 4-way rotation enabled which is really cool (upside-down,.....).. So I have edited the OP...
anyway to make this work with the CDMA version also??

Which one, launcher or lock screen and the 4-way rotation!
And yes it is possible but I don't own CDMA Nexus and that's why I haven't made this for CDMA.

Launcher2 is non-specific so it will work for CDMA/GSM. The framework-res will not though.

Of course the launcher will work on sprint, other versions and also this will work on Nexus 4, S III, S II, etc.
But the framework-res.apk is for Takju JB 4.2.2 only!
I can edit framework-res.apk with those mods for sprint/verizon Nexus if someone wants!
Also it is possible to get Multi-user to work sprint/verizon Nexus like how it works in my Blue Fear ROM.
So if someone needs some of my mods for sprint/verizon then give me the files because I don't have time to download whole ROM.

For lockscreen with rotation you have to modify bools.xml and same for 4-way-rotation
To get Multi user you have to modify intergers.xml and keyguard_host_view.xml
for Launcher:
bools.xml too
OP:Updated!
Check it! =)

You can only use the launcher, but you have to change updater-script file's first 2/3 lines to make it to flash on SII
To get same MODs to SII you must have JB 4.2.x and its framework-res.apk that is modified...

Almost works
This is awesome! Thanks a lot for this =) Works just as advertised, everything rotates perfectly in every direction.
But just one small problem - the time widget on the locksreen is shifted down and the lock slider is shifted a bit to the down right. Maybe it's just me, but it didn't look this way before flashing the file. I've put a screenshot of the lockscreen:
flickcabin . com/files/2318_k1plf/1.png
(remove spaces around the dot - I don't have sufficient rights to upload/link a pic yet)
And here's a little edit I did to show what the problems are. The faded time is where the actual time widget should be, and the red line indicates the verticle center of the screen. The lock slider clearly isn't aligned to the center and is shifted down a bit.
flickcabin . com/files/2319_h2stp/2.png
Can you check and see what problem is and how to fix it?
Edit: Okay, so the space on top seems to be for the users. That's fine, but what about the shift in the lock slider? That's unusual..

Hey!
I don't remember what I have added to this MOD, but it looks like you have flashed my edited framework-res.apk? (It's with multiuser and with multi user chooser in lock screen)
In the top of lockscreen there is more free space for Multi user chooser to fit it correctly in vertical mode when you add multi user(s)..
And also the unlocker is correct for me so it's not behind of navbar.
If you want it back to normal without Multi user chooser then tell me and I'll give you one flashable zip which flashes the original .xml file back
As you can see:

Hey, thanks a lot for your reply. Yeah, please do send the original files in the zip. I guess I'll use the rotating launcher only. I'll also compare what could have gone wrong.. Maybe it's because I added owner info? I'm not sure..

Well I have modified the the theme provided by Lovetz and found out a way to make CRT screen animation work. Samsung had disabled the CRT animation but the program is still there in Our ROM.
Working only for CODEROM but will try to add for other ROMS later.
I am not responsible if you brick your phone.
Theme modifications:
1. Dark MIUI+TouchWiz(only some parts are of TouchWiz)
2. TouchWiz dropdown quickpanel with slightly modified notification and transparent background.
3. Lightweight and fast. (even the scrolling on android frameworks)
4. ENABLED CRT ANIMATION.
How to apply theme:
1. Download the attached zip.
2. Copy to root of SD card.
3. Get into recovery.
4. Apply update and select this zip.
5. Reboot.
Voila. You have the theme. Well even if you didnt like the theme i will try to make orginal theme with working CRT animation. Till then please do adjust.
THEMES:
1. Download and update "coderom_Default.zip" for original theme.
2. Download and update "coderom_MIUIWiz" for this theme.
NOTE: Applying themes is optional. I just gave a theme of mine for fun. But if you just want to enable the screen animations then continue reading and follow the steps given below.
FOR THOSE WHO JUST WANT TO ENABLE CRT ANIMATION WITHOUT CHANGING THEME IN CODEROM:
Just follow the steps given below regarding build.prop and probably if there is no mistake then it should work.
How to enable CRT animation:
1. Pull out "build.prop" using adb or copy it to your comp using Root Explorer. Modify it as suggested ahead. It resides in /system/build.prop .
2. Open build.prop and modify one(or two on coderomnexus) of the line.
'debug.sf.hw=1' is the line in the file. Replace it by '#debug.sf.hw=1'. Indirectly you are just changing the line into a comment by adding a #.
3. Now take this file and replace your original build.prop. You can do this by using adb or root explorer it doesnt matter.
4. Now apply any of the themes provided below using the steps given above.
5. Reboot phone.
NOTE: If the CRT animation is not working after reboot then reapply theme after you have modified your build.prop and try to reboot and see. And also enable all animations or some animations in Settings->Display->Animation for CRT animation to work.
NOTE: If you cannot follow the instructions given here please follow the link given below.
Video for Instructions to enable CRT animation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp6RsSZ4X2w
Credit for the Video: GadgetCheck (Thank you very much GadgetCheck )
Hope this works for all of you.
Any problems please comment. And i do hope many other developers use my theme and make newer or older theme with the CRT animation enabled as i cannot do it all by myself.
Please click Thanks if this post helped you.

EDIT:Will soon add the screenshots for this theme.
Nice, great work.
But could you explain what changes you made exactly to enable CRT animation? That would make it easier to implement it in the variety of ROMs that are out there.

Hey man. I too use the Code rom without the theme by lovetz
Just don't install the Update file. Assuming you have rooted yor phone, this is what you should doIt worked for me! And believe me its awesome!!!)
1. Open root explorer.
2.Goto system and copy build.prop to your sdcard.
3.Transfer the build.prop file to windows and open it with wordpad (not notepad)
4. Do as he says(ie the code change)
5.put it back on your system/ using root explorer, and reboot. Remember to enable all animations in settings>display>animations
Thank me!!! (ie. press thx button)

I have added the original theme too. But if you can understand what manju991 says then do what he says.
@manju991- Thanks man but one thing, i changed my build.prop with a freshly flashed coderom but i went into a bootloop. This happened to me many a times. Thats why i tried to try different xmls and try to make screen animation work. Did you have the same problem?

Well AFAIK this will surely not work in nexus ROM. But if you know something about apktool and etc you can try to extract framework-res.apk and change one xml boolean value and do the same build.prop edit. There are many threads regarding nexus on this topic.

no, it's not nexus rom i mean but codenexus, the v2 of coderom. it's same with coderom v1 but with ext4 support and some tweaks. i thought it's use same framework but when i install the theme i got force close on my screen and setting menu is missing from app drawer.
I am using CodeROM with Glowing crisis theme and did the trick of Manuj and did not work.
did you? what error are you getting? Did you enable all the animations?
work perfectly i tried in default theme. just edit in root explorer
#debug.sf.hw=1 <--- got 2 lines of this. one somewhere in the middle and one at 5th from the last.
important is make sure u go to setting -> display -> enable all animation !
its work, just edit in root explorer,.. thx
but the animation just too fast, is it possible to slow it down a bit?

This 1% Circle Battery Mod is based in large part on work by evilkal. And like evilkal said:
It is an unbroken circle that wanes down and is edited in 1% increments the entire way. That means you will need a ROM that supports this.
If you would like to use this in your theme, PLEASE ask me first. All I ask is for a little credit and that is all
Click to collapse
Why:
I liked evilkal's concept & implementation, but I didn't feel it meshed as well as I'd prefer with the other Holo themed status bar icons in cm10. So I ...
(1) added a dark grey 'under-circle' to keep the circle symmetry even when the battery is low.
(2) used the Roboto-bold Jellybean font for the percentage numbers and made the text bigger for easier reading.
(3) made the percentage numbers the same light grey as the adjacent E/3G/H/H+/etc. text on the signal strength icon.
(4) did away with the 100 percent battery text and replaced it with a full battery symbol in the same light grey. This also allowed bigger 0-99 percent text because I didn't have to leave room for that left-most 1 that's only shown 1/101th of the time.
How:
First I tried working with Photoshop - but it's really tedious and difficult to work with 202 different versions of the icon in 4 separate resolution settings. Then I switched to InkScape and based the icon(s) off a scalable vector graphic file. This worked like a charm and I now have a single file for all master map resolutions. I still had to slice the different master maps in Photoshop though.

36x36 (hdpi) images
48x48 (xhdpi) images
ROM Specific:
I made the following CWM flashable zips for my own devices to get the mod installed with minimal fuss.
(1) Galaxy Nexus I9250 running only the following build - cm-10-20120911-EXPERIMENTAL-maguro-M1
zuberio-battery-mod-cm-10-20120911-EXPERIMENTAL-maguro-M1.zip (ALWAYS NANDROID BEFORE YOU FLASH)
(2) Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510 running only the following build - cm-10-20120815-EXPERIMENTAL-p4wifi
zuberio-battery-mod-cm-10-20120815-EXPERIMENTAL-p4wifi.zip (ALWAYS NANDROID BEFORE YOU FLASH)
(3) Galaxy Nexus I9250 running only the following build - cm-10-20121011-EXPERIMENTAL-maguro-M2
zuberio-battery-mod-cm-10-20121011-EXPERIMENTAL-maguro-M2.zip (ALWAYS NANDROID BEFORE YOU FLASH)
(4) Asus Nexus 7 running only the following build - cm-10-20121011-EXPERIMENTAL-grouper-M2
zuberio-battery-mod-cm-10-20121011-EXPERIMENTAL-grouper-M2.zip (ALWAYS NANDROID BEFORE YOU FLASH)
Also, for the 'just-in-case' situation, I've created a CWM flashable undo zip. This will undo the replacement of your SystemUI.akp. How?: because my CWM mods move your existing SystemUI.akp to /sdcard/SystemUI_old.apk ... and the undo just grabs that file and puts it back in /system/app/SystemUI.apk
They look great!
Do they really only work on the specific builds that you posted or is that more of a "only guaranteed to work with :" kind of warning?

The images themselves should work on any build you mod them into. The CWM flashable files only work on their builds because my mod replaces the SystemUI.apk file in those builds with a modified one.
So don't use the CWM flash if that's not your build. You'll have to add the images to your build's SystemUI.apk file by decompiling and recompiling it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Nice work. Using the 36x36 ones on aokp and they look perfect. Just had to batch rename them to match aokp naming scheme.

Only flash the CWM zips if you're running one of those two builds. Otherwise, you need to mod your SystemUI.apk file manually with the image packs.
This is an excellent step-by-step guide explaining what you need to do with the image packs and your SystemUI.apk file.

Metamorph/zipthemer theme
I like this battery theme very much. Thank you!!
Keeping up to date with the CM10 nightlies, I'd rather not decompile/modify/recompile the apk everyday or so, I'm trying to make a metamorph theme.
Sadly, this being my first attempt to package a theme, it's not working.
It seems that I can't change the stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml.
I attached the zip I produced, if anyone who knows a bit about that wants to look into it.
PS: I didn't find the THANK YOU button, otherwise, I would have pressed it
EDIT: it seems I can't add new png either, i can just replace existing ones...
EDIT: I got it to work, but I had to include a resources.arsc file. I'm not sure but I think it means it is not version independent...
Anyway, I included the file. It is only for xhdpi for the moment and works with CM10-20120924 . I'll test it on my next nightly. If someone wants another resolution, I can make it but I can't test it.
Hi zuberio,
nice work. So I decided to help you a bit.....for everyone who is running a rom with 1% incrementel mod......here are zuberios pics flashable for every rom on every device (but keep in mind.......rom must have 1% mod implemented). This flashable zip morphs only the png which your device needs (depends on the device is hdpi, mdpi, ldpi or xhdpi).....so really clean method
you can use it.

I tried making a zipthemer/metamorph zip. (See my previous post).
It works on the cm10-20120924 nightly, and should work on other nightlies too (maybe), but I can't test it because I only have the one phone.
It's only xhdpi at the moment but I can add more resolutions if people are interested.
I got a special request for a version without text.

My CWM flashable file is for the M1 build which doesn't have custom navigation implemented in it. If you want your nightly running this mod you'll need to modify your SystemUI.apk file on your own.
Ok, I'm not familiar with editing apk's, so I'll just have to live without custom nav bar for a while
It would be cool if you can look into adding it to CM10's selection of battery mods (they already have a couple in there).

It would be cool if you can look into adding it to CM10's selection of battery mods (they already have a couple in there).

It's on my list of things to do as well as up there as a pet peeve. I need to figure out what generates the settings menu and then modify it. I have a suspicion it's not an XML file but a JAR file that needs to be modified.
I've submitted a ticket to CM to have this added to the build itself https://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=6216
Hi,
i have flashed this file zuberio-battery-mod-cm-10-20120911-EXPERIMENTAL-maguro-M1.zip but doesn't work....i have the same icon battery..not circle battery....why?

How to instal
partition your sdcard, coz the rom need sd-ext partition or it won't boot
Download Minitool partision
Use Cardreader, whether it's a special multifunctional and microSD. and look video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNlw7VO6ISI
The first step, make sure the computer is in a state ready. Install Partition Wizard Home Edition applications that had been downloaded. If you use a laptop or Netbook, for battery / power plan should be in Balanced mode, not in Power Saver mode.
Second, prepare your microSD card and insert it into the reader. Once inserted, plug it into a USB port or a special SD expansion port and wait until read by a computer. Once it gets into the Partition Wizard Home Edition application, see if your SDcard illegible or not in the application, if it is not readable try clicking on the top left corner General> Reload Disk Information.
Third, delete your microSD up to be unallocated. Fourth, at this stage you should be careful and read carefully so that there are no errors.
Right-click the microSD that's already unallocated and select create. For the former, the Partition label left blank. Create as filled with primary, FAT32 file system filled. Leave around from memory to create the second partition by sliding or fill with numbers in partition size. For the second day onwards, the same stages. If there is a warning, just click Yes. Create as completed primary, completed File system independent (can be ext2, ext 3, ext 4), and then leave at around 50MB to 100MB for the last partition. Lastly, Create as filled primary, Linux File system filled swap and grab all the memory is left earlier.
After completion of the steps above, click Apply at the top left corner. For smooth, hopefully you close all running applications such as a browser and a decent music takes your computer's RAM.
Just follow the next command that tells you to format the disk automatically by the Partition Wizard Home Edition. You have to wait until the process is complete.
Congratulations! The process of partitioning your SDcard already successfully done, now you can already installed SDCard kind app2sd application can use sd-ext as the storage application or game on SDCard. If you are hesitant and afraid to try it, it's better not to try

Hey!
I flashed it and it seems very nice.
Cool design and performance.
I don't like that flashlight in status bar doesn't work. (FC)
I have 2 questions for now:
- How to put the fifth icon in the dock as on your screenshot. I have only four icons?
- Is it possible to turn off the transparency? To make it black like normal.
I'll test it a bit more. I like the cronmod script too.

isnt this rom just based on SGS II V10 rom by spacecaker Ace threadwich was ported to gio ?
because i see alot of theming similiaritys
in titles
even systemui has same text layout issue wich means carrier is pretty damm close too
whole statusbar layout is same as in spacecakers rom
only themed differently
even when i checked the layout files you still kept the whole png names of spacecaker
especially the Dontwatchporn.png wich is to hide date in statusbar
check it if you dont trust me
ive checked the files
Tw launcher is same but added 5th dock icon etc
also the SGS III lockscreen pngs are all made by spacecaker from his SGS3 themed lockscreen mod
this is just a themed and small modded SGSII V10 rom with ics/blood theme
please add proper credits to the thread

I aint talking about those stuffs
But just check the files everything is fully based on spacecakers sgsII rom
Then tell why you leave parts of spacecakers mods in the apks ?
Dontwatchporn.png is definitly not something you add for fun
Spacecaker uses only weird names for stuff when he is modding
If you compare everything lots of stuff are just the stuff from the sgsII rom port

What is XThemeEngine?
ruqqq said:
What is XThemeEngine?
XThemeEngine allows you to theme your device similar to how T-Mobile/CM10 Theme Engine. Install theme apk, activate theme from XThemeEngine app. Voila! Forget MetaMorph. Forget flashing zips.
XThemeEngine is powered by Xposed Framework by rovo89. You will be prompted to install if you haven't.
Install Instructions
Install Xposed Installer
Install Xposed Framework (from the Xposed Installer app)
Install XThemeEngine from the link at the bottom of this post
Activate the module in Xposed Installer app
Download SampleTheme (or create your theme!), activate through XThemeEngineApp
Enjoy!
Which device has XThemeEngine been tested on?
Galaxy Nexus (4.2 stock), Xperia V (JB Stock), Galaxy S3 (JB Stock), Galaxy Note 2 (JB Stock).
Confirmed working by XDA members: Xperia U, Xperia P, Xperia T, Xperia TX, Galaxy S Duos, Lenovo A800, Ainol Novo Hero2, HP Touchpad 4.2.2, Cherry Mobile Flare / Karbonn A9+, L9, SIII, Optimus G, Motorola RAZR HD, Galaxy S Advance I9070, Xperia Sola, LG Motion 4G
Does not work: HTC One X(L) Stock, HTC One Stock
Theoretically, XThemeEngine should work with Android 4.0 and above. Only for ARM devices though. x86 devices are NOT supported. To learn more, read Xposed Framework FAQ.
This would further be limited depending on the theme selected (similar to CM10 theme engine). Do report the device you're using if it works for you too.
Current Limitations
Does not support ringtones/wallpapers
Avoid res/layout at the moment (despite supported)
res/values/styles.xml is NOT supported and may never be
XThemeEngine and Themes cannot be stored on external storage or /mnt/asec

As you may know that there's already plenty of ported themes available for xtheme engine, but none of them working nicely for stock samsung touchwiz rom, why? it's because samsung using different names for theming their drawable files. Because this theme was not made for stock, therefore we need to correctly redirecting the resource, and also we need to add more items into drawables.

It seems your ROM has integrate custom toggles which allow more customization in "alliance rom customizer".
If there's a possibilities to switch off your notification panel mods then it might be show up, otherwise you might ask your rom developer. The image is correctly redirected according to your "blue version toggle" systemUI you've uploaded.

Rom specific, modifying apks for a specific rom might also means that i need to build using the rom frameworks.
Some Rom might integrate their UI features deep into the Rom, but i'd glad to hear someone had workaround for this.

I tried to theme the lidroid based toggles (the same as alliance).
It is impossible as the icons located in lidroid-res.apk doesn't have any exposed ids.
I know some ported lidroid for sony are themable, but the lidroid-res.apk was merged in systemui.
But for Alliance or all 23 lidroid toggles mod i know, it is just impossible.
But if you want to change the icons, it is pretty easy. No need to decompile, just replace by the ones you want with 7zip. Some basic knowledge are required though.

I dont have time to go through a step by step - but you will find everything in those two files

I hope u release new version. I think u can remove 3 options: flight, silent n data mode in power option. Many people dont need them, it stays at status expanded.
Btw, thank in advanced.

For duos all you need to do is Decompile any systemui.apk for duos & Decompile my systemui.apk
Then copy the usb folder in smali/com/android/systemui from the duos ui to my ui
Recompile and put in the flashable zip
You can use apktool for mobile if you don't have a pc
thanx for info bro,i have pc but i have lil issues since the update to win 8.1,but when it goes with app than its great.thanx. :good:

Sorry I miss read the mod you was talking about
The power menu is in android.policy.jar with the references in framework-res.apk
That mod is just for hyperion 8 Rom as it uses that framework
iv no idea if it will work on duos - I don't have the device so I can't test
There are guides - iv credited the people of the guides at the bottom - it's just a case of copying smali then you need to edit it with all the references from the framework
Don't have the time right now to do it but after Xmas I might start building my own roms
Added How To Implement 1% Battery Mod On Your Rom in the guide section on op
Added odin flashable firmwares to op
op updated with new volume panel status bar for stock and aosp
added new cm7 status bar to op
seperated stock aosp and cm7 into different catagories
nice...
nice, bro..pls send me that firmware for my galaxy y

Hello Sir. Your thread has proved very useful to me and finally I have installed the Hyperion 9 Final Rev ROM. Its a very nice ROM but I just wanted one small thing which is, I want the status bar to be black. Only the top bar, and not the whole notification drawer.
Is that possible? (you might be wondering why such question, but I really don't know much about ROMs)
So if you can help me with that or point me in a proper direction then I will be really thankful.
