If you tried Jellybam the boot.img contained in the ROM zip doesn't work for newer hboots (like yours). Check through the first few pages of the ROM thread and there's a modded 2.17 NCX kernel for newer hboots (make sure to 'fastboot erase cache' after you've flashed the boot.img. If you want a great stock experience go for Ice Cold Jelly AOKP, since rom development for Jellybam has stopped for a while
Thank u very much ill try it now itself

You probably messed up at the fastboot command.
Try the following commands again, and make sure you do them correctly:
1.Boot your phone to bootloader, connect to pc, and choose fastboot option.
2.Open your terminal in you're fastboot folder on your pc(hold shift+right click in that folder and choose open terminal here).
3. Extract your boot.img to that folder.
4. type the following commands in fastboot:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
5. Choose hboot(bootloader) option there after and choose recovery. Wipe all data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache(in advance option).
6. Install the rom again, via install rom from sd card option.
If your booting directly into cwm then you have flashed cwm as your boot partition and not recovery or both

The same problem byt not solved yet
Hello,
I think I have the same problem. I've tried to install cyanogennod to my HTX ONE X using the steps here on cyanogenmod's site.
I've installed the adb and the fastboot.
I've enabled USB debugging (it was enabled).
Unlocked the device.
Downloaded and flashed CMW (recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.8-endeavoru.img)
Booted to CWM and installed Cyanogenmod + gaps.
After the reboot the phone stucked in rotating arrow. Tried restart the phone after approx. 20 min but the same problem. Than I've read that it should boot up less thank in 5 min. I've tried to reset + delete cache and install the CM ones again but the same problem. Than I've found one solution on 2 sites, flash CM ones again (using fastboot flash boot boot.img). Ahhaa now I'd undestud. I've flash the CWM as boot not recovery. Where can I find boot.img for HTC ONE X? Because I can reboot my phone and it's there (fastboot, hboot, ...) but the phone boots into CMW (there is an option to reboot to boot or classical holding the volume button and pressing the powen on). Can somebody help please? Thank you.

The steps involving relocking your hboot are only to upgrade your hboot. But since your hboot is already upgraded, those steps dont apply to you.
And since you are running CM 10 so i believe you already have a custom recovery running, so you dont need to flash any other recovery.

What mode is your phone at?
Try holding power and volumedown for a looong time and don't let go until you are at bootloader screen.
Also try powering off and then when it boots up hold power and voldown.
Try to type in English, it is very difficult to understand your text.

Go into bootloader/fastboot USB mode and erase the cache again then try to enter the recovery .....
And yes if the rom installer doesn't finish its probably a corrupted download.....

ohk thnkx now phone is in clockwork mod recovery so what should i do now
I seemed to have bricked my device......... the phone just seems to hang on the white HTC screen.. I am very new to all this so please help with even the most basic and obvious steps.
Events that led to this:
Last night i unlocked and rooted my phone using clockwork recovery and then installed superSU. All was fine then.
I installed Nanobackup and took the backup as suggested.
then later today, after reading a lot i decided to try CYANOGENMOD'S root and then it all statred to fall apart.......
the phone never booted after that. first it used to get stuck on CYNOGENMOD's startup screen and it never moved forward. after reading some more I realised that i needed to update the BOOT.IMG file along with it which i missed. after this also nothing was happening.
I was thanking my stars that i took a complete back up and tried to restore it..... but as my luck would have it that also did not work.
Now i am stuck with a white boot up screen with the HTC logo on it. I can still connect to fastboot....... PLease help......Very desparate.
Thanks..... all and any help is appreciated.

A buddy of mine rooted my phone after I had so much difficulty trying to do it myself. I went to update my ROM this afternoon and was brought to the white HTC loading screen with no more activity. Tried getting into my phone to put a new ROM on the SD card and nothing comes up on the SD card folder. I am able to put a ROM in the empty SD card folder and install it, but than it just gets stuck on the same screen as before. I'm really just in the dark here and that friend isn't any longer available to help me out. Thank you all in advance, hopefully this is fixable. I am quite concerned. I should add that I would like to ultimately just get back to stock and be done with things I don't understand so as to avoid this happening again.
Did you flash the boot.img from the rom.zip? These are the correct steps to flash a ROM:
1. Flash the boot.img from ROM.zip via fastboot. "fastboot flash boot boot.img" then "fastboot erase cache"
2. Boot into recovery and use THIS by flashing it.
3. Now flash the ROM.zip and then gapps.zip via recovery.
4. Reboot.

I have tried flashing the boot.img but when I go to put the file onto my phone I don't have any folders such as the boot.img folder to put it in. As for flashing the link above, I am taking a stab in the dark here but I assume that I download that link, extract it and place it on my SD card somewhere. I'm not sure as to how I flash it. Sorry... I really have tried learning the ropes of this, but I can't seem to grasp it.

1. First you need to download a custom ROM like this one : http://tunsd.de/downloads/ICJ/IceColdJelly421/aokp_ICJ422-V3.0.zip , Gapps : http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip and Super wipe script: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0y31poo1kiaif4y/Super wipe script.zip
2. Open the aokp_ICJ422-V3.0.zip with winrar/winzip and extract the boot.img and place it in the "fastboot" folder in your PC. (since you have already unlocked/rooted it, I guess you know which is the fastboot folder)
3. Connect your Phone to your PC and make a new folder named "ROM" and put the aokp_ICJ422-V3.0.zip , gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip and Super wipe script.zipin it.
4. Turn of your phone. Now hold the power button and volume down button together until the bootloader screen pops up. (White screen with 3 android figures at the bottom)
5. Now select "fastboot" using the volume up/down keys and press power button once you highlight it to get into fastboot. Now connect your phone again to your PC.
6. You will hear a sound on your pc and on the screen it will say "fastboot USB".
7. Now open fastboot folder on your PC and press shift key and simultaneously rightclick and click on "open command prompt here".
8. type the following lines:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
9. Now disconnect your phone and head back to "HBOOT" and then select "Recovery".
10. Now go to "install zip from sd" and select "ROM" folder which you had created earlier on the phone.
11. Now select "super wipe script" and install it. After everything is done you will come back to choose zip from sd.
12. Now again navigate to ROM folder and select "aokp_ICJ422-V3.0.zip" and install it. and then install "gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip".
13. Now go back and select "reboot system now".
14. If you have done all the above steps correctly, you will boot into IceColdJelly Rom!

Irrespective whether you have CWM or TWRP... Steps will be similar for flashing the ROM... Just the names of the buttons/options will be different!
If you want to use CWM, then download this : http://htcfanboys.com/download/seadersn/?action=list&file=2823
Put the recovery.img in your fastboot folder. Boot your phone in fastboot mode and fire the following lines in CMD.
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
Now you can follow the steps which I have given blindly!
My phone was unlocked and rooted from a different PC so I have no fastboot folders or any knowledge on what a fastboot folder is.

What error message do you get while you flash?
what is your HBoot version?
Go to bootloader(Power button+Volume Down)... once you get to that white screen, you should be able to see your hboot version... something like hboot 1.39...
Hey guys, I've flashed CM 10.1 Nightlies mod today then installed gapps package, went to home screen to set up google account, unfortunately I dont have a working wifi connection in my home, so I use 1GB Mobile Data plan from my cellphone provider, I set up my mobile data account but still it says disconnected because mobile data is unavailable, I thought it's a ROM issue, so I downgraded to 4.1.1 Blade Rom with Sense 5, but still it shows the same problem, I'm going crazy here as I cannot setup my google account. What possibly could've gone wrong?
PS: There is no USB Internet Passthrough in android 4.2.2 ( Cyanogenmod 10.1) :|
Flashed boot.img?
If not do this:
Go into hboot by holding power + volume down until you reach bootloader
Then go into fastboot (press power button)
Then extract the boot.img from your current rom.zip
Put it in your fastboot folder and type the following command in cmd:
'fastboot flash boot boot.img' (no qoutes)
Press enter. Then type this:
'fastboot erase cache'
Reboot and it should be working
Press thanks if this worked!

'fastboot flash boot boot.img' (no qoutes)
Press enter. Then type this:
'fastboot erase cache'
Reboot and it should be working
Press thanks if this worked!

Hey thanks for the reply, there's a slight problem, before my phone goes to fastboot mode, it gives a bunch of errors, it says Failed to open USB master mode....
EDIT: Did accordingly as you said but doesn't work, same problem. Also did you mean to install a fresh rom again? or just re do those steps.. I only redone the steps but not installed the rom.

Just do those steps, you shouldn't need to reflash rom unless you flashed modules for a different kernel?
What hboot do you have.
And when you were in bootloader, did you enter fastboot and did any errors come up in CMD?

nope kernel is 3.1.10ncx_314-g24718f8-dirty root @n3ocort3x-tuxbook # 148 SMP PREEMPT
and when starting the bootloader, the error of Failed to open usb in master mode comes up, then it starts normally to HBOOT, then After I choose fastboot the same error comes, but it goes away and comes Fastboot USB
Those "errors" are normal, its because the usb cable is connected.
I think your phone is a bit of a mess now. Restart from scratch
1: flash the boot.img from the rom you want to install
2: perform a full wipe in recovery
- factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- advanced - wipe dalvik cache
- mounts & storage - format cache,data,system
3: install the rom.zip

did accordingly to what you said, but still it didn't work, also flashed the new rom "insertcoin's (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588669) but no help (((((((
ps: i didn't flashed the kernel, I'm confused which kernel should I install, also I don't know how to flash kernels ....
also, after wiping cache partition, dalvik, mounts and storage, my previous files in the phone(like all the folders) were still there... :|
BUMP!
Flashed a kernel that day ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136731 ) phone battery life seeems to be great but my data service problem is still there, I have provided the screeenshots below, please have a look, where am I going wrong?!
I have followed these steps while installing the Kernel:
Spoiler: Install Process
Install modules from recovery (Install the zip)
Wipe dalvik cache. Yes, it's important, the versions could have some binary level differencies (from different compiler options) which can lead to unknown behaviour with old dalvik code.
Erase fastboot cache
Flash kernel image with fastboot
If you have problems with some functions not working on your ROM, then repack. Otherwise it's not needed.
Try configuring apn manually
