Same answer as above, Visit this thread to flash any of the Firmware you want http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239?start=0&tstart=0
Or since you have a locked bootloader, you can use SUS or PCC to repair your phone
Sorry i post in the wrong thread.

Why don't you post in the ROM thread, Chaos is answering (in his own original way) to all points.
My guess: it depends on what you choose in Aroma.

Where I can download the stock kernel? I searched and did not find it
Do you have the stock ROM.ftf file? If so, you can just flash the kernel alone in Flashtool.
If you don't have it, just download it from the forum. There are plenty available.

If someone can help me... I would be forever grateful!
Just go here and download any of the .ftf. Use Flashtool and just flash the kernel alone [Exclude everything else].

Nope, you didn't. You're not the first to say they've searched for something when they clearly haven't and you certainly wont be the last. I came here to learn, not be spoon fed and rehashed old information that I could have found myself by searching. Because you're using GB and not ICS, which most mods are based on these days, so update to ICS and try again.

i have seen videos on how to update via flash tool but its kinda complicated and still have to flash kernels, is there any other way or an easy way to update my arc? sorry bro for i have so many questions and still i have more.
what rom for GB do u suggest i use for my arc?
Flashing a stock ftf also flashes the included kernel. If you're still struggling with video tutorials or guides then someone else will have to assist as I'm not here to spoon feed for the reason stated in the second line of my guide.

at last my perseverance paid off, lots of reading, searching, downloading and bookmarking and trial and error and came to the point that i almost bricked my ARC. i am now on android 4.0.4 BB-77 with Advanced stock kernel, build# .587 running on xperia ultimate HD 2.0
heres my screenshot.
BTW if there is someone still a noob like me in flashing heres the simplest vid that i found and it work for me, you should have all drivers installed on your pc
do not release the back button until flashing is finished and not all back button are on the right side as seen on flashtool

No sorry most JB ROMs require an unlocked boatload which removes the DRM which is like an authentication key and if its removed then its kind off not a Sony product

You could try ICs when looking around see if it (ROM) can be installed on a LOCKED BOOTLOADER

There is no such thing as "Best ROM". Your "Best ROM" is determined by yourself by finding the ROM that suits you best. If you can't decide, stick with stock as it is still good for daily use. Search the forums on how to tweak the stock ROM to give yourself a better experience when using stock ROM.
Hope you can understand what I meant when I posted the thread link there.

Hey guys. I own the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S . I have rooted it and installed cyanogenmod 10.1.
Now the cyanogenmod is nice but it still has a lot of bugs and it lacks in a lot of aspects in comparison to the stock rom.
Now i would like to go back to the stock rom which was ICS 4.0.4
Is it possible to downgrade from 4.2 to 4.0.4 ?
if yes then a complete tutorial would be highly appreciated for my problem . Thanks in advance.
Use flashtool to go back to stock ICS..4.0.4.. You'll need the .587 ftf file.
If you wanna try a custom ICS rom.. Flash an ICS kernel.. Then the rom..
See the stickys and general section.
