Accidentally installed Sprint Stock rom on at&t. Help please. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

So I don't have much knowledge with rooting and flashing, I just got into it and successfully installed a custom rom on my Note 2. I told a friend about it and he attempted to do the same to his Note 2. He was successful as well but he kept looking into different roms and something went wrong. He then tried to return to stock rom with Odin but accidentally got a sprint stock rom instead. Now his phone won't boot and he's tried installing the correct at&t stock rom but it just fails in Odin. It was dumb of him, he just did things without much research I've tried searching but all I keep finding is the returning to stock via Odin solution and it keeps failing. Any help would be appreciated.

Flash att kernel then flash att rom any one! Then after ya do that try factory reset. And if ya wanna use odin try that for att stock and go from there
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2

im surprised the sprint rom even worked. If the advice above doesnt work then try to flash just a custom recovery by itself. then boot into it and restore the att stuff using that instead of odin.

n7105 rom w tmo boot.img radio

has anyone tried flashing a n7100 rom with tmobile boot img and radio if so any luck? I had luck with the note one flashing tmo boot.img and radio to the at&t roms. I see someone got the 7105 rom working w multiview awsome it starts on page 2 or 3
takes a lot of courage on a $700+ device anyone up to it should get some donations, dont you think? It would be a great step onto getting the missing functionality of the device like the multiview and sidebar..

How did you get your usb tethering to work?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
First of all any of you flashing a N7100 ROM are silly. Of course it won't work.
Now, on the other hand, if you flash a N7105, for which the hardware is pretty damn similar to the US versions, it might work, or at least the chances are way higher.
I compiled a kernel for T-Mobile users http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33341226&postcount=557 but it hasn't been tested yet, if you're willing to give it a shot, please report back to me with feedback.
What are the Benefits of flashing this kernel Sir!

[Q] Need to restore stock without USB

Hi all,
My phone's USB port does not work at all. I need to get the stock software back on to take it back to Sprint, but cannot use Odin to do so (because of the bad USB port).
I tried flashing the FL24 tar file (from Rwilco12's repository) using Mobile Odin (I checked wipe cache & dalvik, and selected the file in the "System" button), but I must've done something wrong because it wouldn't boot, and CWM recovery was still there. So I restored my last backup.
Any input on why the flash didn't take? Did I use the wrong tar file? Am I doing something wrong in Mobile Odin?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! =)

I have not had to do this, but I'm thinking that if you flash an ICS or GB rom in recovery, you might be able to upgrade to the latest stock OTA available in settings>updates
I think you need Mobile Odin Pro to flash that. Mobile Odin free will only flash kernals, at least mine will only flash kernals.
Do you need stock or stock w/ root? What ROM and version are you on now?

What's your goal? Upgrade or replacement? That drives much of the answer, as expediency is the driver here. Your phone having a busted USB port limits your options at the store. If it's upgrade, just wipe the dang thing from CWM, remove your SD card and call it a day. You've got a real shot at getting a nominal amount of credit for a busted phone towards a new one. If it's replacement, your options are entirely different.

I decided I'm just going to take micmars's suggestion and wipe the thing in recovery. Initially, I was trying to get the phone replaced because I wanted to delay my upgrade for a few months until the new s5 or maybe the Nexus 5 came out, but I decided just to upgrade tomorrow when I'm eligible and get the Note 2 (can't justify Sprint's ridiculous $350 on-contract price tag for the Note 3).
Again, thanks for everyone's help and input!

Just seen this... man that micmars always has the right answer...
Pillzbury if you're like me and hate when something doesn't work and want to know how and why...
You could have put the fl24 stock rom on the sdcard..
Then used mobile Odin and el29 direct boot kernel...once in el 29 recovery flash stock rom... should be good to go...
Glad you got it figured out anyway... like I said..micmars the man..
Sorry you won't be around in this forum... Good Luck...

Ah, it DOES bother me when something doesn't work and I don't know why! Thanks for your answer.
The E4GT was a solid phone, but I will not miss having to flash back to a safe kernel when going between ROMs.

4.4- lost LTE stuck on GSM/WCDMA preferred

Okay so this started when I flashed the new Liquid Smooth 4.4 beta which uses a d2lte rom instead of a d2att. Since I have flashed this rom I am unable to get LTE most of the time. When I do get LTE it will inevitably reboot it self. I have tried to go to Settings>Wireless & netrworks>Mobile Networks and change the preferred network type to one with LTE but it won't let me, it stays on GSM/WCDMA preferred. I have flashed multiple roms including other 4.4 roms, a 4.3 rom I know worked before, and synergy with no luck. I have also checked my APNs and they are correct. Is there anything else I can try? Or will I have to go back to stock to fix this issue? If so is there a method you would recommend?
Thank You, and if this has been asked I apologize I searched and couldn't find anything.
I had the same exact issue after installing Liquid. Even had issues on my nandroids with LTE after. The only way I was able to fix was to odin back to rooted stock and then I restored one of my nandroids from a previous ROM.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that but figured I would.
As far as using Odin I was only able to find a method which used the I747UCDLK3 version. I'm on 1747UCDMG2 for AT&T, do you know if it is safe to use that version(I know it wouldn't be if I was on the 4.3 firmware). Either way thanks for the help.

Well, I took the plunge and it worked. I was able to restore my phone to stock using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426 and so far I have lte.
For anyone else reading this be sure to do a factory reset before going back to stock or it will boot loop.
Thanks again.

How do you get an ATT S3 back to full stock config and count reset??
I have an SGH-I747 that was rooted, cwm recovery and a few roms installed in the past. Right now I am stuck. I want to go back to all official/original, like it would if you bought it new. I would like it to have the latest official ATT firmware build, kernel ,modem, etc.... and the counter reset. I'm currently on 4.3 but I don't know if its the official build for ATT, I included a screenshots of device info. Please check them for more info. If you need more let me know.
I know some of you are going to say "did you read through the forums??" The answer is yes I did but could not find a good answer to my particular problem. I am somewhat of a noob but I do know the basics. All I ask is for a bit of help or info.
Thanks in advance
You can reset the custom binary count, but not the warranty bit.
The best you can do is follow enewman17's stock restore thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658486
Then update to 4.4.2 via ota.

Try factory reset in recovery
Factory resetting solves about 99% of all boot hangs.
