Hello guys not sure if this already been talked about could find any search results.
On sense jelly bean did you know you can disable apps from completely running?
I been wanting to stop Google maps from running because it keeps waking my device up from sleep state and under task manager they is a disable button after you disable the app here its like you have uninstalled it.

you have a app somewhere that's doing it
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Shazam causes that alot, but what he said above its a application. Whenever that pops up think of what application you just got down running or closed out of, and that should be the cause.
What browsers do you have installed?
I get that every so often as well

Use this app to determine what you installed on your phone that has notification based advertising:

It have the settings for that.
No need for 3rd Party apps.
Go to Menu-Settings-Security-Lock Screen-Select none.
Job done!

I'm pretty sure it's there so when you accidentally turn it on in your pocket, you don't go calling random people and burning thru the battery. Just sayin

Google Play Store problems

I am having problems with my play store where the opening screen is not showing all of the tile pictures. They are black. Also, if I search for an app, the icon for the app is only showing the little grey android robot. Like in these pics. I have tried force stop, clear data, clear cache numerous times to no avail. I have the latest Play Store app inastalled on my phone. Any suggestions?

WTF?? I just tried it and It DOES work on mobile but, it doesn't on wifi. How does that make sense?? Everything else works just fine over wifi except the Play Store.
I'm having the same problem. Same on jelly time and on existz aospx. I'm wondering if its not the gapps download.

Very handy, hopes Google finishes in a future 4.3 update and put it on app management screen.
It's handy, AOKP had it in the settings.
Beamed from my Maguro.

yes, and you can try "App Ops Launcher" on play store to launch the "App ops" on android 4.3, it is just only 7kb.
It's a good start but I would like to see more granularity in the permissions. For example, for some apps I would love to be able to block GPS while still allowing coarse location gathering.
Very Interesting, but 4.3 still has room to improve in terms of stability. But I am sure that it's definitely better than 4.2

[Q] disabling 'system update available' message

Hello,
I flashed Calkulin's ROM a few weeks ago and I got the 'system update available' message this morning.
Is there a way to disable this message, since I am not planning to apply the system update.
Thank you in advance.
Yes, quite a few. If you use Xposed Framework there is a Syscope Blaster module. If not look for FOTAkill, I know it's somewhere in the General section.

Thank you very much.
I also noticed that it appeared under the Task Manager as 'Google Services Framework'. I killed the app and it's gone for now. It will probably re-appear when I reboot.
