Why not get another Epic from Ebay for around $70?
Or you could do what I did and buy one with a broken motherboard for $20 on ebay and replace the motherboards...I got a fully working epic off ebay for $20 with a broken usb port...just replaced boards and stickers and bam new screen haha

My dog chewed up my back cover for my phone and I cannot afford a new one right now. I know a lot of people have extended batteries thus have bought new backs, I am wondering if someone may have one they have absolutely no use for and would be willing to donate it (i'd cover shipping of course)
If this is not allowed on XDA I am sorry and please delete.
Probably almost as cheap look on eBay for display dummy phones and get one that has free shipping. I've been told the back will fit but I have no idea. Just suggesting what was suggested to me.

Nevermind guys. My dad got me one for Christmas
BenHoliday I appreciate your offer very much and that is very very thoughtful of you.
But like I said my dad surprised me and bought me one
Check your PM
Would just like to say thanks publicly to BenHolliday. I never meant for anyone to purchase one, I just thought someone might have a back up.
Very solid guy and I feel really guilty for you not letting me buy you something back
my assurion insurance cost $80 to replace. but I'm rooted. I'm concerned i won't be able to root if it has the new gingerbread firmware on it. i know it will be more expensive to pay for a repair. so can anyone toss me a bone?
i would like a link to replacement parts if possible because i have a friend that c can repair my phone at no cost if i pay for the parts.

Best thing to do would try to find a broken "replacement parts" phone on ebay with a working screen.
You can root the ota bud. I will sell you a pre rooted thunderbolt lnib for 150 + your phone? [email protected]
Say you lost it, they should charge you the 80 and get you a new or a refurb
Get your insurance. They don't give a **** about root. Then root the replacement
Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
Exactly. Just use your insurance. Why would Asurion care if you rooted your phone or not? It's 3rd party insurance, you're not claiming warranty repair or anything. Your car insurance doesn't drop you just because you bought and installed a new stereo. $80 is going to be cheaper than anyone will fix your phone for anyway, and you'll get a new phone instead of the same one that probably has dings on it from getting dropped. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll be out of Thunderbolts and send you a Bionic or something instead.
So I watched my Eagles get beat by the bears and dropped my phone. Insult to injury! Does anyone have success replacing their screen? If so, where did you get parts and tools? Please don't recommend a seller, brand or manufacturer that you haven't personally had success with... Links please

Talked to a rep at asurion they said under the table they really don't care if its rooted they complete erase and reinstall all new software on all new phone so they don't really check.

Okay it wasn't a new phone but they did a really good job with it.
General question, for those who have lapdocks and decide they want to get rid of it, whats the best way to go with selling it.
On ebay I see them listed, I never see anything really getting sold and nobody really lists them up.
I'm thinking about auctioning it but I am worried about how much I would lose.
Anybody on here have any experience on selling there lapdock?
Thanks

I bought mine on ebay for 90 used some time ago, and most of the listings on ebay get sold for around 100. Depending on the condition, I'd expect to sell it around 70+ maybe, price dropped a good amount lately.
Id actually be interested in buying it from you. what kind of price are you thinking
I'm happy to sell it for any fair price, its barely been used its in great condition but now I'm feeling pretty sad looking at those prices.
I purchased it for a hefty 500, I was being optimistic hoping I could get rid of it for at least 150-200 but I'm more then happy to get rid of it at the 125 mark if your interested.
I'll be sending it from australia but I have the adaptors for the US as well since I brought it from there.
Inbox me if you want to discuss the item further.
This is very depressing but I can live with it
This needs to be posted in the marketplace forum. Not here. Doesn't anyone read the forum rules anymore??
It sells refurbished for 90 dollars after shipping, any more than that and you're ripping someone off.

no, not really.
people sell their items for what they want. a + $35 range wouldn't necessarily constitute a "rip off".
refurbished < used i think, depending on owner, of course.

Refurbished is used, plus it's been inspected to make sure everything works.

A lot of the times refurb units are the ones that something breaks on and it's been repaired which should be cheaper than original that has never been opened.
Anyways, I just saw this thread and I also have a ladock that I don't use. I used that lapdock with another Atrix that I have with broken screen and used it as a wi-fi laptop browsing kinda thing. I'd be interested in selling it too if someone is looking for one.
Thank you and good luck to op.
sorry i didn't mention it before, but i'd be more than interested in buying a laptop dock from someone on XDA, i would just want a good deal from risking my money from someone i met on a forum, when i could get a perfectly good refurb unit from a reputable dealer for a cheaper price than offered.
So, I'm looking for a new LCD for my recently acquired gnex. Everything on it is working perfect except the lcd has what looks almost like damage from a magnet in the bottom right corner. I've looked around a little bit but can't find any for less than almost 200 usd. That's more than I paid for the phone and I refuse to pay that much for a single part. Does anyone here know where I should look?

Bump for no replies. Any suggestions residents of xda?

E-bay has always been cheapest on spare parts when I repair phones.
If it's still too expensive, either by another ruined gnex, where the LCD is intact, or sell yours as damaged and buy a new device.

I just replaced my cracked screen from 1 I got off eBay. $60 + $10 shipping. Look for seller named redocean2. Prompt shipping.

I don't actually need the screen itself. I need a new lcd. Thanks for the input though, I'll look them up and see what they have.

I have the Sprint version, and to my knowledge the screen and LCD are fused (glued really good) together, so I had to replace the whole assembly. So yeah, may not help you, but good luck though!

I cracked my 2 days old NOTE II's screen, I am from India, How much it will cost to replace the damaged screen? I have no courage to go for DIY screen glass replacement method.
Can anybody give me some idea to save money like making a insurance of the device (obviously fake/manipulated) and then claiming the repairing cost? Has anybody done that already? Thank you!!
It would be very unwise to use a fake warranty.
How can you expect something you didn't paid for.
I think it would cost 8+
