Jellytime - Dictation - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After having flashed the rom jellytime 4.2 r1 the dictation with Google Voice Dictation doesn't work.
How can I fix it?

Download the latest release (R6.1). It was fixed in R3.

I did it, but it still doesn't work, inspite of a full wipe.

I resolved a similar issue by deleting Google search cache and updating to its latest version from the play store. If the latest update has already been installed, then you should uninstall the updates, clear cache and let the update run again..
You should also attempt to flash gapps a second time...

Downloading from android market question (easily the weirdest problem you'll see)

Hi XDA, long time lurker, first time poster.
So I rooted my droid incredible yesterday evening. Everything was dandy- I installed CM7. However, this afternoon i stopped being able to use the market application - it would require a force close - both the market app and downloader. I decided to wipe everything, reinstall, and re root and do it again. I installed CM7 again, market wouldn't work. I then did a full wipe, factory reset, cache reset, davlik reset, and installed the newest nightly build of CM7. Still couldn't download from app marketplace.
I now just installed SkyRaider 4.0. I still can't download from the google marketplace on my phone. I can, however, install from the amazon app store, and when I use google's web install interface I can install the google marketplace apps from there (this also works for appbrain).
--I can use the google marketplace and appbrain marketplace on my computer, just not on my phone --
Clearly, the default android marketplace app doesn't work on my phone (and consequently appbrain as it goes through that).
How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Brian

Reboot into Clockwork recovery, there is a fix permissions options. If I remember right it is in the advanced section. Run it. It will not hurt anything it will just run script that will run through the files and fix the permission settings on them.
Fixing permissions didn't eliminate the problem.
Did you download the Google apps zip with cm and flash it too? You never mentioned that part. Might be the problem

Gaaps MIUI
will this version of Gaaps work with MIUI ROM ?
Work on all CM7 androids?
AW: [TUTORIAL] Install Gaaps for Cyanogenmod7, Market and Google apps.
Some ROMs have their own recommended GApps so check first in your ROMs thread. If not, you can just browse goo.im for the latest GApps. Make sure, it's the right package for your Android version. Jb = jellybean, gb = gingerbread. For the flashing you can follow the guide above.

Thank you.
I will be an ungrateful dude if I do not thank you for this download. I was on Jelly bean on Lg P500 but had to downgrade to Gingerbread because I was not enjoying it much. But when I did, google apps was missing, and you provided a solution.
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
Please will you marry meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Haha!!!:highfive:
GApps for gingerbread

Gawd I installed it a couple of times over. Didn't get Google now to work the first time. Now my /system folder is maxed out. Any idea what I could delete?

I have the same problem and yes, using a file explorer there is no Play store at system/app.
Is it possible that there is no Play store or Market until I setup a google account on the device (because at the moment I'm right after factory reset, so there is nothing on the phone)?

I downloaded the proper gapps, boot into recovery, wipe cache, wipe data / factory reset, install gapps, reboot. Then now it's working. I don't know what happened previously after the first factory reset (it was from the menu, not from recovery).
:/
I've been trying that for a while now, and I still can't use Google Play Store.

CyanogenMod 7.2.0 / GAPPS

Hi,
I recently rooted my girlfriends Wildfire and missed the Google Apps.
So I wanted to download the latest apps and now whats about the Google Playstore?
I opened the zip file and couldn't find it.
(Here under Google Apps addon)
Is there a package where the latest Google Apps are integrated?
Or will they be updated through Playstore itself?
Don't worry just flash the zip, setup google account, open "android market" wait for some time and it will update itself to the playstore.
If it doesn't update then wait for a day or so, sometimes it updates without you knowing (like a ninja )

Okay,
I will install today and will reply if I have any issues.
Thanks for your help.:good:
EDIT:
Okay it was immediately changed to the new market.

Hi So I just flashed CM 7.2.0 and after tried to flash GApps 20120429 which as far as I can tell is the most recent one. I get to the part where I enter my google info and did all that the play store opened but now I am getting Play Store Force closures and I cannot get into the App store at all. I tried flashing again and it is still happening. Any advice on what to try next? Thanks!
You flashed ics gapps on gingerbread!
Latest gb gapps should be named gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip.
yup that was it

Mildwild and Google Play Store

Hi all
I've installed Mildwild on my desire and I'm loving the rom.
Only problem is that the play store app crashes every time, think its a force close error but it disappears so fast I can't see it properly.
Any ideas?
Have tried some modded play store apks and the original a couple of times. When I install them they work for a few minutes then the error occurs again.
Its a strange one and I'm stumped!

Have you tried uninstalling updates and clearing the cache? This method worked for me.

Which cache would I be clearing here?
Will uninstall everything related to play store and try again.
Thanks again.

By uninstalling updates I meant for the Google play app not the apps downloaded from the play store. Clear the cache and uninstall updates through Settings > Applications > Manage applications ( or something similar ) and tap Google play.

Check the attached images if you need help. Currently I'm running ICS but it should be similar.

Hey, I've got the exact same problem with the current MildWild 4.4.
I'm doing a completely fresh install, partitioned the sdcard with 4ext (newest version), did the factory reset + cache/dalvik wipe, flashed MildWild, linked my google account..aaaaaaaand.. play store crashes. Undoing the update + deleting cache didn't help, sadly.
I've read about installing the 3.7.11 version and downloaded it, but I can't just install it regularly and am not sure how to do it via adb or anything :/
edit: Nevermind, got it. Turns out root explorer isn't as scary as i thought

Play Store force closes

Using the latest Tiny 10.1, my play store force closes.
I've cleared data and cache for both the app itself and my phone, and reflashed the latest gapps.
The interesting thing to me is that I can't seem to sideload any apks, even if I'm not going through the store. I downloaded and tried to install the latest swiftkey flow, and as I try to run the apk, I get three or four warnings that the play store has stopped working. Similarly, just to test I downloaded the latest play store apk I could find, but got the same error.
EDIT: wiped and reinstalled and this problem has been solved.

I had the same issue after flashing the 01102013 ROM. Clearing Cache and Data didn't work. It was only after selecting uninstall updates to the Play Store did it resolve itself. Previous ROM and gapps that worked for me was 1227. I never tried the experimental.
I hope tiny4579 follows this thread. Your ROM is fantastic!

Using any ext4 mods available? Before I can try to assist, I need to know.
No, I haven't flashed any ext4 mods. I am thinking about using one of the options. I do use a cache cleaner to keep those to a minimum.
I waited for this latest ROM to fix a problem with GPS and Endomondo according to posts about CM 10.1. It would read 0.1km as 1.0km. That's now fixed, although riding my bike at 238 mph certainly upped my average.
