[Q] Xperia S boot loop - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

I have rooted Sony Xperia S, ICS 4.0.4
Yesterday I downloaded LCD Density Modder>> play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.birdapi.android.dpi ,
and when i set DPI to 160 (I believe), I got tablet UI look. Then I set it back to 320, which is default.
Today I tried to set DPI to 120 which I now find out, is unsupported.
Now, when I boot my phone, it come to the SONY and then to XPERIA screen, and when LED and illumination bar lights up, phone just force restart (screen just slowly fade out).
I can charge it normaly, so I know I didnt completly ****ed it up. I tried hard reset & recovery mode, but none of these works.
Any ideas what should I do? Thank you

Reflash stock fw through SEUS. If you have unlocked bootloader then Flash stock through flashtool. Also if SEUS won't help use flashtool with locked bootloader.

Since recovery mode didn't work, I didn't even remember to flash it.
I flashed it with original .45 ROM using Xperia Flasher, and it magically worked.
Thank you for your quick response ;D.

My Xperia ARC won't boot up

Hi guys.
I'am in truble. My Xperia ARC won't boot up. When i tying to turn it up, nothing happens, just blinks the green notification light.
What happened?
I rooted my phone (so the bootloader is also unlocked), everything was fine. The problem started, when android asked me to update the phone. I said: Why not? The phone turned off, and since that it won't boot up.
Please help.
Sounds like you have to flash a rom... Can you connect it to your pc with flashtool or fastboot?

[Q] R800x Flashtool Flashes 2.3.3 Successfully but Still Stuck at Sony Ericsson Logo

I'm on an R800x Verizon Xperia Play that I flashed to cricKet {but my phone flashing skills are neither here nor there with this issue} running 2.3.3 and an unlocked bootloader. I was listening to iHeartRadio and found that I couldn't unlock my phone after turning the screen on. I figured that the phone was being non-responsive, so I held the power button like I was going to turn it off, and it brought up the power off menu, but the digitizer still wasn't responding to my touch, so I did a battery pull. After turning it back on, it just sat at the Sony Ericsson logo for ten minutes. Figuring that it had something to do with some root changes I'd performed (font change, animation framework-res.apk customizations, new MMS.apk, build.prop changes, de-bloat, etc.), I booted up the latest Flashtool and flashed the 2.3.3 .ftf, but to no avail. I'm still stuck at the Sony Ericsson logo, and even after four re-flashes, I'm getting no change. Obviously, I can get into flashmode and fastboot, no recovery (CWM not installed), and no boot. It just won't proceed to the bootanimation like it should. I figure if it was a hardware failure, it wouldnt have stayed powered on and playing iHeartRadio, so I'm stumped. I don't get it. Somebody help. Any suggestions?

from what I've read from previous cricket users... if you didn't do a nandroid backup before you started flashing... you either have to flash the available ftf for cricket or go to your local shop & get them to flash their image to your phone... but I'm not too certain.

Is your screen cracked or have a major scratch? If yes your digitizer is broke and needs to be replaced.
If no? Its software here is a fix.
The reason your stuck on the screen is simple. the screen you see is the bootloader it boots the system IMG. If it does not! that means their not talking to each other properly.
So in simple terms let's make them talk.
Google stock ftf,s xperia play on the Xda. next download them. next flash the UK version first you will get an Error and yes it will fail. But then flash the Verizon 2.3.3 3.0.1 version it should flash with no error if you do it second.
If you do it first it will fail i think their is files missing in the compile.
Next Google on the xda relock bootloader download the file and flash it too it should with no errors.
Now your phone should boot. Why you ask? Because you put the system back to what it was before you changed it.
Locked boot loader
Restored kernel
Restored system.
Now that its fixed. Unlock it and flash back to cricket and make sure you change you APN to get your MMS working again.
make sure and hit the thanks button .

[Q] Xperia ION - Hard Bricked - 2 times

Team/Member XDA
Please help me ( putting this line here shows my agony/desperation)
I have ION LT28H (Boot Unlocked/CWM 2.3 Installed) and yesterday I installed XZX Xperience 2 using cwm, it worked fine. later I installed some Fix and booted, it got FREEZE on xperia wallpaper. later by pressing SWITCH ON and VOLUME UP , it nudge 3 times and went in to deep coma (Hard Brick). I put it on wall charger, after 25 hours red LED came on and some time later fone booted and on SONY logo it shook 1 time and rebooted, it kept happening the led went GREEN.
at this point i was so excited and went in to cwm and clear/wipe factory setting and clear the kelvin cache and INSTALLED again XZX Experience _ ION (link given some where in xda), i booted fone .. it again FROZE on SONY logo .... I force restart it by pressing POWER+VOLUMEUP button for 5 seconds it nudge once and restarted and froze... I repeated the process and by opening my FLASHTOOL I call the Original JB ROM 4.1.2 for xperia ion TYT file. THE FONE was connected in FLASHMODE as flashtool was telling me.... then flashtool went in to " Preparing files for flashing Preparing files for flashing" status and immediately after flashtool said that fone is in MTP Mode ... and dialog box started coming saying that connect your fone in flashmode while pressing key......... (THE FONE WAS BLANK, no SONY LOGO and NO LED) `````` I read about the Rubber band trick and while my mobile is connected to PC, I tied the rubber band pressing VOLUME DOWN key to exhaust battery... It was suppose to take 9+ hrs... but after 2 hrs or so, the mobile RED LED started again and then SONY LOGO came and FROZE.... I HAVE PUT IT AGAIN to WALL CHARGER... ( thinking its still recovering from HARDBRICK mode) ....
Now as i was typing this post, SONY logo went of and the fone is showing RED LED and its on WALL CHARGER....
now
1. what will be my NEXT STEP ?
2. if fone was never recovered from HARD BRICK mode then why it started this morning to CWM ?
3. Have i forced it back again to loop whole by stupidly installing xperience_ION again
4. by putting rubber band and exhausting battery and RED LED coming back... has put the ION to HARD BRICK state again?
just love my roooted xperia! plz help me revive it....
~ if i give to to local sony dealers what exactly will they do and approximately how much the repair/reinstallation may cost me (USD $150- $200 ) ? -- but i don't wana do that they will put it back to Gingerbread again as ION never had offical mideast JB released, i flashed EUROPE ROM to ion few months ago...
Possible Flashing mistake
YasuHamed,
there are two modes for Experia ION, one of which is Fastboot.
Next time your experia switches on, try to install using the sony software update service which is quite different from the flashing tool you are using.
Check and let us know what happens. look online for instructions. SONY | make.believe

Your kernel is broken. You need to flash good kernel after (or before) installing XYZ.

flash LX rom. flash kernel & directly boot into CWM. then install rom. if the screen works , but sometimes go off i guess its some HW issue that maybe some part broke.
normallly if you flash the stock ICS ftf fullly the phone should work like new. if not uits 100% HW issue
