Hello,
I am totally confused about this decision, as I am in India so I have to import it from UK, and I have to pay around $46. So my point is . .
Should I really spend $46 on it, is it value for money ?? or it's just an aftermarket marketing product from samsung to increase their sales.
Please help me out and share your experience about the battery.
P.S - My usage
- Mobile network is on 24/7.
- My friends play games on it whenever the mobile is not in my pocket.
- Normal usage like chatting, phones calls (Not so heavy).
Thank you
I bought this to an about 8 months old phone, and my experience is positive. From having to charge every night and sometimes more, the phone is now usable for a couple days.
Negative is that the new back cover is a bit loose. It won't clip on correctly in the upper right corner. Nothing serious, but a bit of an annoyance.

Not sure about that but mine fits just right. I replace it quite often since I interchange this with the slim original and both covers just clips nicely.

Hey, I have official extended battery 2000mAh for about 3 months now and I must say it's great It comes with a new back cover. It fits and looks like it was meant to be originally, no loose at all. My phone lasts 2 days now (48-50h) with 5-6 hours on screen. I usually have data off, most of the time I'm using wifi.
It cost me about $25 with delivery. I can recommend this kit without any doubt, I'm sure you will be happy.
I have the same like this http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Extended-Battery-Orginal/dp/B005FYHRY8 . Made in Korea of course

I was about to sell this phone and to buy S3, bit still I need around 200€ to do that and S2 i can sell for 200€ too.
With this battery that I bought 2 days ago I am very satistfied with battery life, on my work right now I have 78% left, before it would be aroound 40%, and 10% at the and of the day.
With the 2000 Mh battery you get a dedicated back cover which makes the phone even better in the design!!! You will get a smooth and linear backside, with a very limited increase of weight. The increase in the autonomy is tangible, it is worth while buying with no doubt.
I bought it one year ago about at the same price you mentioned and now I can keep the original 1650 Mh battery as a useful backup source in case of need.
I started using this kit a few days ago. So far, I haven't seen that much of an improvement, although I'm on the 2nd recharge cycle. I'm not regretting buying this, but I have to say I'm not impressed with the battery life so far. I'm really hoping it's going to show it's full potential in the next couple of days.
Also, I've seen a few people complaining about thickness and weight of the phone with this kit. I have to tell you it's really not that thick at all, especially if you're used to using a case. It is slightly heavier, but I got used to it in first hour of phone usage. Since I got this kit, I just couldn't put my phone back in the case, and not because it doesn't fit anymore (it fits fine, I was using a simple silicone back cover). It's because it's too damn sexy now.

Hey, sure, you can use it this way, but what for? There will be an empty space between battery (1650mAh) and back cover, and there's always risk that battery will move itself, so in my opinion it's not a good idea.

$46 seems like a rather high price. I got it at around half that price, and it's well worth the money in my opinion since the new back cover makes it way easier to hold the phone (while still not being bulky).

Thank you guys !! but here is another problem about the battery . . One crucial thing to note is that there are actually two different models of these batteries – the one to look for is EB-K1A2EBEGSTD, as this is for the international/open-market standard GT-i9100 version of the Galaxy S II, rather than the EB-K1A2EBSG for the Korean edition.
I hope the seller on eBay replies to my message with right information.

How much extra life do you get with this Ebay Chinese extended battery? I am wanting one bad, because when I use my phone the battery drains so quickly. When just sitting there in standby it last a long time, but sometimes I like to just lay back on the couch and play games, music, surf the internet or do many other things with my phone. If anyone will post their experience with these Chinese batteries, I would very much appreciate it. I don't trust any of the reviews on the site from OP.
I got it!
I got 2 batteries, 2 back covers and wall/usb charger of this same battery off of Ebay a couple of weeks ago for $29.99 plus $7 shipping. They were working good on Myn release #3 pretty well as they reached max conditioning. I have got almost 30 hours with 4 to 5 hours of uptime. Now trying to finalize my setup of Myn #4 so I can get same performance.

They work great!! They really are just as good as the Seidio. There is a LONG thread on AndroidForums. Some people have both the Seidio battery and the ebay battery, and say that they last an equal amount of time. As far as how long it will last you, that all depends on how you use it (as I'm sure you know). With light use mine will easily go over 30 hours up time and with heavy use I can still get 15 hours up time with 7 hours awake time. FWIW, GPS and mobile data are on 100% of the time on my phone and bluetooth and wifi also run a good bit with the occasional 4G. YMMV

These Chinese batteries they are selling on eBay are actually two batteries stuck together and wrapped up...
http://cgi.ebay.com/OEM-Extended-Ba...ccessories&hash=item564538af3b#ht_1842wt_1371
Already got mine from VZW, but if these are real (he states OEM, so if it's not he is violating eBay policy) it's a deal you can't really pass up if you want the extra battery life.
**NOTICE** Users have found out that, while the actualy battery in this auction is the OEM HTC 2750, the battery door is a cheap knockoff. It is a solid black battery door that does not fit on easily. The seller is offering a $4 refund to anyone who purchased.
I would get the refund, try demanding for more, and then be sure to report the listing to eBay also.
EDIT #2 The listing has been taken down.
Wow, good find. I just ordered one. Thanks
Just bought one, any easy way to verify authentic vs knockoffs?
If you already own an extended you can get one for really cheap without the door!

God damnit I bought mine from Verizon like two months ago for $50.
Wow, price has really come down. I can't see myself without an extended battery nowadays. Def worth the money.
have been considering an extended battery..price's are more reasonable now. will probably make the plunge soon. any big time differences with all the mah's out there?
Pretty good deal.
Anyone get one yet? I need one but want to make sure this is legit
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
I got one. Don't get it, the battery is legitimate but the door is a plain black door and not the HTC door. It works but it doesn't for my active extended case.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
My battery door doesn't even snap in place. The seller offered me a $4 refund but my request was for a replacement door. I couldn't even find a replacement door online for less than $10.
Same here. It feels like it will break but put the bottom 3 tabs in first and gently push down around the sides and it should go on.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
After a few email exchanges between myself and the seller, I opened a case on eBay. He/she refused to refund more than $4 and refused a return. The cheapest authentic cover I could find was $18.00.
At this point I will just go to the Verizon store and pick one up.
Just how much of a difference does the extended battery makes? I mean it is worth $50?
It is to me, on a normal workday my phones go from fully charged to nearly dead within 3-4 hours. I carry around a spare battery for my Galaxy S but with my Thunderbolt this extended battery has gone all day and then some.
Granted my usage isn't the norm by any means but it greatly extended my time between charges.

Hey guys,
Just got the mugen extended battery in the mail. Their regular shipping somehow took longer than 3 weeks and I still have not received the item, so I asked them to reship using FedEx. Guess what, it took 2 days to get to Richmond Hill, Canada, which is just north of Toronto.
Anyways, just though I'd upload some high quality pics with measurements so if any of you guys are planning on buying it, you guys have a sense of how things ll look when you get it.
Feel free to update this with your own pictures.
Update 1: More pictures of battery on phone. Post #10
________________________________________________________________________________
After using this for some times, I believe I can give a rather full rounded review of this case
Make and Looks:
After looking at the pics below, it is definitely safe to conclude that if you cannot stand additional bulk to the galaxy nexus, this extended is definitely not a recommended, as it does double the thickness of the phone. Also, this battery is not for those who are seriously concious of the way their phones look, as this is, to be honest, not the best looking extended battery pack out there.
HOWEVER, if you are like me, and enjoy funtion over form, it would be my pleasure to say that this battery is definitely recommended. The back casing of the Mugen Power battery mimicks the back of the galaxy nexus to provide users with enough grip so as to reduce the slipperiness and possibilities of drops. Also, the battery which is rated at 4000mah does add some weight to the phone, which to me is a great addition as it just feels that the phone is more secure in my hands with the added weight. The battery, when installed on the phone, depicts the resemblence of a humpback whale, which not to say is ugly in anyway, it is simply Unique. The kickstand is a bit flimsy, but that is just an additional use of the new backing to watching movies and videos, so can't complain there.Lastly, the camera holes are perfectly cut out for the 5MP camera, it does not affect picture quality in anyway, but does take away from the original good looks of the phone.
Usage
To be honest, the GNEX isn't among the top performing android handsets in the battery department. Getting through a full day with my full usage has always been a problem, no matter what brightness setting I set. Battery times for me has always been 13-16 hours with 3-4 hours standby, and that is already after using franco kernel and aokp.
Now, with the Mugen Power battery, I can say this: I have a GMAXXXXXXXXXX. The battery after 3 - 5 charge cycles is AMAZING! Unlike other cheap extended batteries, I would say that mugen lived up to their name, as this battery is more than what they described as double my battery life. With it, I get by two days with super super super heavy usage including a ton a gaming, videos, and auto-sync and wifi on 24/7. That is around 2 days 3 hours with 7-9 hours screen on with the screen at around 50% brightness!!
Would I recommend?
Yes, I would definitely recommend this extended battery to anyone out there. If the price of said Mugen Battery is within your acceptable budget limit, there is no other battery that compares to what Mugen is delivering. And as the old saying goes, "You get what you payed for".
Thanks for this, please post back your results

Yes it's because of the cut. I could probably cut a little more to make it more streamlined.
The seidio with NFC has a soft touch battery cover. It matches the case and feels great in the hand.

Did anyone use this battery? If yes, please share your user experience. It is pretty cheap for a 5000 mAp battery considering Mugen's 5400 mAp battery's price.

I'm EXTREMELY happy with my 5,000 maH battery (please note: not the one discussed in this thread).
I've just left a lot of feeback on this other battery thread:

This battery is really good?
Very big fan, and I won't often stick my neck out on such matters. I used my phone a lot today (although not my craziest of usage days) and I was on 81% at 7pm. I told my girlfriend (whose iPhone was dead) but she didn't care at all

I bought the same battery, but with me the back cover does not stay on. I hear some clicks and one side seems to fit ok, but the other side keeps popping out. Anyone had the same issue? Anybody maybe has a spare back cover that fits on the 5000 maH battery?

Same issue with my friends phone.
Battery works just fine , but the cover won't click in properly.
I have one of the hyperion extended batteries, it works great but make the phone look like a turtle, spoils all the benefit of the nice slim design the note has going for it. However, it does sit better in the hand though. I use it occasionally, like on some days when I know I'll be out using my GPS and data heavily and still I have like 40% remaining. Does not double the battery life but more like 1 2/3 good thing is I can use my phone heavily for the entire day and not wonder if I will have juice remaining.
i'm planning to buy a new battery. i will remember of this 5000mah. thank you.

I do own one! This battery rocks!
Tremendous Capacity! It lasts 2 days with ease (with minor use) :good:
Believe me when I say this, but this battery is DEFINITELY worth the money!
Something else that you should pay attention (very important!) is the quality of the cover, since it is unique with your battery and there is no replacement!
I used another battery like this before with a "sweat" kind of plastic cover and with no side stand. Bigger cover, more difficult to handle, which I was forced to remove afterwards, due poor quality and increased wear.
THIS SPECIFIC cover, is covered by an excellent quality and increased strength!
It is surely a good buy!
Just purchased and received this case (http://tinyurl.com/co3uuam) in the mail today. Wanted to share with everyone. Should be able to go several days without needing a charge.
Should have shared it in the correct place.
Under accessories.

Give us an update about what kind of battery life you see. Also some pics would be appreciated.
I'm not inclined to believe the capacity claims, but if it at least offer close to 3000mAh that would be decent.

Update
Update on my experience with this case. I already tore the leather for the flip front cover, so to me that part is poorly made. I simply cut it off since I didn't want to see that tear all the time. On Saturday upon receiving this case I fully charged both my phone and the case and started using them both around 4 PM. With normal use for me the case died today around 10 AM and I have been running off of the phone battery every since.
I can't say that I'm going to use this case every day as it makes the phone a little bulkier than I would like, but for me, this case will come in handy more often than not. Overall, I am happy with my purchase thus far with the exception of the tear. We will see how it does after several charging cycles.
I'm not too much of a fan of flip cases. They conform you to use the device as a book or in landscape orientation. If they made a version that would flip upward like a traditional paper note pad as opposed to off to the side. definitely buy it if one was made like that. I wish mophie would make their charging cases for the note 2.
