You can use most guides for arc with arc s.
Use flashtool to install cwm. That should do the trick.
The guides for the arc and arc s are nearly the same

Have you read these: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1573266 & http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133650
These really helped me. And it also helps when you don't get a certain step look it up on youtube. Of almost any step there is a video.
The ''Namaste guide'' is a lot to read, but it's worth it.

I'm still a noob on rooting and flashing (flashed my first ROM yesterday). And I don't know every term
Also when choosing a ROM, look on youtube for video's how it looks ect. And decide for yourself whether you like it or not.
Im currently running Cyanogenmod 7 (CM7) and it's so much of a improvement to the stock ROM.
Don't forget to flash the corresponding Kernel when flashing a custom ROM

Arc LT15i Overclock and Custom Kernel

Hello Guys,
I've visited this great forum for a long time but i couldn't find what i'm looking for, then sorry if it's a noob question or a question that was already answared in other thread.
Currently I'm using the stock ICS 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431) on my Xperia ARC LT15i with unlocked bootloader and thinking about overclock it, however, as I said above, I couldn't find a custom kernel that gives me that possibility.
I've researched about DoomLord, Mesa and other ones but I only see custom works for ARC S (LT18) and using ICS 4.0.3.
In case of anybody knows some good kernel for LT15 running ICS 4.0.4 I'd really apreciate if could tell me more about or indicate any research's source.
Thank you folks and sorry if this question is inappropriate.
Regards.

My friend has been using DooMKernel since May and he says that overclocking has been kind of spotty. Sometimes the phone gets really hot and unstable but for the most part is pretty stable.

It does help if you actually search for what you're looking for. Luck for you there are plenty of spoon feeders here.

OP didn't specify bootloader status and the bootloader would have to be unlocked to flash a custom kernel doesn't it? Great link if he has unlocked bootloader

Ask all you want, but don't take offence when you get pulled up for being lazy.

Nope, you didn't. You're not the first to say they've searched for something when they clearly haven't and you certainly wont be the last. I came here to learn, not be spoon fed and rehashed old information that I could have found myself by searching. [Q] How to go from Cyanogenmod 10.1 to Sony Xpeia Arc S ICS 4.0.4 Stock rom?

Hey guys. I own the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S . I have rooted it and installed cyanogenmod 10.1.
Now the cyanogenmod is nice but it still has a lot of bugs and it lacks in a lot of aspects in comparison to the stock rom.
Now i would like to go back to the stock rom which was ICS 4.0.4
Is it possible to downgrade from 4.2 to 4.0.4 ?
if yes then a complete tutorial would be highly appreciated for my problem . Thanks in advance.
Use flashtool to go back to stock ICS..4.0.4.. You'll need the .587 ftf file.
If you wanna try a custom ICS rom.. Flash an ICS kernel.. Then the rom..
See the stickys and general section.
