Hi all. I used AOKP Build 2 and loved the fact you could change the navigation button colour. I have now flashed CyanogenMod 10.1 which I prefer but cannot change the button colour.
How can this be done, is there an add on I can use or does it require a complete different rom?
Hi,
Maybe here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34452548 (different stock button color / style)
Maybe not the color you want, but you can ask for a specific color? Or change the color by yourself (with Gimp for example) all is in the thread above for replace / modify your buttons), I mean how to replace your own button...

Worked a treat, thank you very much
I recommend paranoid android. You can change transparency, size of navigation bar, navigation button color, and and glow color
I also recommend PA. Havent tried other ROMs though. The PIE feature is really great in PA.

I'm running AOKP b36 and although there is a setting to change the navbar colour it only changes the colour of the icons. Is there a way to change the colour of the background? Thanks.
Yeah use black ice rom. It's built from AOKP and adds some nice stuff.. Like navbar background colors and miui style carrier text.. It's on rootzwiki

Not that this is a direct answer to your question but, I think this thread might have the information you are looking for.
I've used zipthemer before and it was a breeze but, it looks like you have the options of tuning your own keys with some of these methods. I used zipthemer to install custom softkeys before but, now I just use the utility included in the new Eclipse JB build 8 to completely customize my navbar. The Eclipse rom is here.

Thank you, but my problem is to change the icons of custom apps in navigation bar.
The icons of standard softkeys are in SystemUI/res/drawable-xhdpi, but I don't see the icons of any application that I insert in navigation bar!

You would change the icon of the app itself from within its apk.

Yes, this is a possibility but my question is clare: I would like to know what is technically the file to edit.
Is there a rom that lets us easily customize the status bar like MIUI does? Besides the miui rom basically lol
Strongsteve's Blue odexed.
He has a mod available for his rom to customize the pulldown text.

Not sure what particular options your looking for but...
AOKP let's you change clock, battery, and signal icons. You can center clock, change colors, add day of the week, etc. Also many options for pull down. Add to that themes and a plethora of other ROM control options and you have probably the most user customizable ROM by way of built in selections out there.

No, you would have to learn to theme. AOKP and CM10 are your best bet if you want to modify appearance a lot.
Try the AOKP rom. In the settings menu under "rom controls" you can change a lot of things. The satatus bar being one of them. I centered the clock and changed its color to green on mine.

As was already mentioned, no you can't. However, there are many color variants of stock JB via CM10/AOKP themes. So say you want a purple signal/battery status bar icons, all you would have to do is download a purple theme. There is about 300 themes available at the moment I believe, many of them free.
FreeGS3 rom has lots of zips to change the notification bar. There's also this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886656 which has options to change it too. Hope this helps. I've centered my clock, and change a few things on mine.

I'm not using ARHD, but I know on a lot of ROMs; I'm on ViperOne, and this is what I do; there is an option to set the navbar height to zero. It gives you a lot more screen real estate.
Then set up pie controls , and use them instead of the navbar.
Footnote: I also have auto hide on the dock, so that it disappears after 2 seconds. I like a clean screen, and a simple swipe up brings them back again. I don't need them showing on every homescreen. I know where they are. Like I said: screen real estate.
Using pie controls instead of the navbar is a good idea indeed. I'll try that.
However, I was curious if there is a way to just hide the divider line between the navbar and the dock. According to the description, this module is supposed to do that. However, I couldn't find the option that hides the line.
Thanks anyway!
Hello.
Im rooted and with gravitybox I enable the navigation bar.
The problem is that the color is white. I want to change it to black. I went to check in settings and a secret menu appears.
The bad news is when I trying to change color <submenu Color> is complitly blank. Something is missing.
Also in button combination menu I can swap/change the soft keys but in navbar dosen't make any change at all.
I ask your help guys. Even if you know any good alternative for navbar im all ears.
Sorry for my bad english
No one???
