bad ens note ii outside the usa
so i won the spring galaxy note ii with a bad esn on ebay .
now the thing is i am not locaten in the usa , i live in israel .
first i wanted to know if the phone would work whith my local carier ...here is some info of my cariers fequencys (wikipedia) :
"Its network is an HSPA+[citation needed] network in the 2100Mhz band, with roaming also available on Cellcom's 1800Mhz GSM[6] and 850Mhz/2100Mhz HSPA+ network."
second if not could i root it if it was locked like i did with the verizon s3 (i535) i got from ebay but it had clean esn.
and please don't start talking about legal issus because i checked and in israel this is not illegal.
fnal question : if i buy a bad esn note ii ,root it then use the method to normaly unlock it to any world or gsm carier, will that work for me ??
and if not is there any chance ??
thacks alot .

The Sprint version has no accessible sim card. It only works internationaly with sprint international roaming.
Youd have to do the sim card mod theres a thread in general for it. If you dont think you could do that, sell sprint and buy a gsm one.

HI guys,
I just recieved a call from EE in the UK telling me that because i have bought a compatible LTE handset they would like to send me the 4g sim card so that i can use the 4G network..
Now i bought my Galaxy note 2 on release day before EE was launched.. and i am certain that there is a LTE version of the galaxy note..
I explained this to the guy on the phone who said that the phone registered was LTE by phones for u when i bought it...
My handset is the GT-n7100...
They have said that i can match my current contract but at 4g speeds for no extra cost...
Has anyone else had a call from EE and does anyone know what on earth they are talking about? will n7100 work on the UK EE LTE network?
The N7100 is the international 3G model.
These guys just read from a script... don't expect them to know anything about phones!
There's no LTE hardware in the 7100.
That's weird. Vodafone RO keeps telling me that GT-N7100 is 4G compatible, I know it itsn't. However, GSMArena is also saying that :
HSDPA, 42 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps; LTE, Cat3, 50 Mbps UL, 100 Mbps DL

It is 4G compatible in some countries just not on EE in UK.
Beware very very careful op ee are playing very naughty games atm trying to get new customers there even offering to buyout new contract holders. And the n7100 will not work on 4G in the UK despite what any network says.

I have told them to send me the sim and move my contract over, when it arrives and I cannot get on the 4G network i will call them in a blind rage and hopefully they will send me the actual LTE note 2 as compensation..
I told the guy about 5 times that the handset doesnt support LTE he just said the one i have based on imei number does.. obviously has no idea what he is talking about...
ill keep you posted when the sim comes!
If I'm u I'll just get the lte compatible sin card. No extra charges. If u can connect to lte, u lucky devil. If no, no harm in trying. Perhaps they would even change a lte compatible note 2 for u.. lol. Wishful thinking though..

You may have to call your provider to change your data plan to fit what the phone requires
PS:this phone will never work on T-Mobile's 3G or 4G network but it will work on 2G

No that wouldn't be fine!
The most likely cause of your issue is that your phone doesn't have an APN set up for your network. Doing this should at least get your data working.
However, as far as an aware, the N7102 does not support TMo's AWS bands which means at best you'll get EDGE and not 3G.
If we were talking about an international N7100, I'd also add a point about getting 3G on 1900MHz if TMo had refarmed the spectrum for 3G in your area, but since it is a Duo, I don't know if this supports 1900MHz.
Do a search for N7102 and you'll find an entire thread about the N7102 in the US.

Dave

I saw an N900t on Ebay. The seller sent me a picture of the phone.
Here it is
It says model number is SM-900T but the seller says it won't work with LTE on AT&T, even though the phone is unlocked. The seller is nice enough to tell me that it won't work with ATT LTE..
The instruction manual photo says it is n9000.. but he sent a picture of n900t label on phone.
Are there n900t phones which won't work on AT&T

I would also like to know if this would work.
I have an unlocked Tmobile Note 3 working on a Straight Talk ATT sim card. Its the old sim with the att.mvno apn. The new sims work with a tfdata apn. My status bar does not say 4G lte just 4g. Wondering if I need the new ST sim to get LTE if that even works .
Anyone else have some insight?

Thanks.
Using an N900T on AT&T LTE as well. There is a big forum in AT&T General on this. Good luck.
The posts from people using it answers your question but you can do some searching as this has been talked about quite a bit. From what I have read, the T-Mobile version was the most desirable model since it includes all the ATT bands plus the T-Mobile band so it will work on both networks. The ATT model is missing the T-Mobile LTE band so that is why some people using ATT bought the T-Mobile version to begin with. It lets you use it on either network without restrictions.
Hope this helps...
He might using the tmobile version to take pictures and replies to ebay questions, which doesn't mean he using the same phone he selling

I just bought an unlocked N900T for my AT&T and am getting LTE speeds.
just checked and got a 22Mbps download speed with the LTE APN configuration
What , I think, many don't realize that you should register at&t lte capable device imei on your account. Then this phone should work fine. For example, if you already have at&t sim that gets you lte - you are fine.
However, if you buy the tmobile phone and then try to open new at&t account while using imei of n900t - you may not ever get lte.
Opposite is the same. I registered my old at&t note 2 with tmobile and never could get lte. Not even when I got n900t. Support was clueless. Last thung I said to csr before she wanted to file a ticket to their engineers - 'could you please switch my imei' and oops I got lte in 2 minutes.

Hi guys... Im from Panama and i have a question let tell a little background
Here in Panama we have 2 providers that have LTE and uses band 28 this is why i bought my zenfone from taiwan with band 28 reception... this is the problem i put my sim card from one of the provider and guess what didnt got LTE and they told me is becuase is my phone that is not allow in their network (they are selling phone which is LTE ready according to them) But i friend of my put his simcard of his samsung S6 from the second company (uses the same 28 band) and my phone got LTE rightaway... So is somthing the provider can do to stop phones coming from outside getting LTE? Right now my phone is getting HSPA+ that is H+ but nothing else
And in the screenshot my phone is detecting the network which is the first LTE that you see. The second LTE with Forbidden is from the other company from which my friend have his simcard..
Thanks for the help
Hello to XDA community, as for the title let me clarify on my problem.
Recently I bought a used Samsung S6 SM-G920P from a shop. Then I realise that its a CDMA USA version, it cant receive 4G/LTE network in my country ( Malaysia / Asia ) but it can receive the 3G network. I really want to enable the 4G network, what must I do? Perhaps unlocking the network band or anything? Im lost
Thanks for advance.
