I suspect that vBulletin does not support the Download manager.
Sorry, you'll have to do it the old fassion way.
No attachment on this site is bigger 8MB anyway.

I was actually referring to firefox's builtin download manager, but before I replied I tried disabling the external download manager and let the browser handle it alone. Before this I would just hit cancel when the external manager kicked in and thought the I would get the same reaction from the browser. Something got lost in passing the argument to the browser. After disabling the manager, firefox downloaded just fine.
Well, everything is fine with the world now. Something so simple ... geeez, and I call my self a computer geek?
Just as an additional info, accelerators like IDM will work fine but DAP wont parse the php correctly.
It happened to me before, what i found was that it installed plugins in firefox so i disabled those and it workes fine now
I'm getting the same problem, but I don't use a download manager. I've tried Firefox and IE7 (both under Windows XP) and both see the link as a 1x1 Gif Image.
I've never come across this before so any assistance would be most welcome.
Thank you
Get Chrome
I have downloaded and installed Chrome, but I still get the same result, the attachment is seen as a Gif.
I am trying to download "lokiwiz03a.zip" from THIS link. Is there an alternative source for this without having to trawl through the various File sharing sites who could have added who knows what to the package?
Again, thank you for the help.

if its a .zip, then im assuming you use winrar to open it?
If this is true, then download the file to the desktop, then right click it and select "Open With..."
Look around for "Winrar" and then select it, Then make sure "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file."
I hope i helped you, if not... Send me a PM (For faster communication)
I think you can't download the file because the file does not exist anymore. I also tried to download lokiwiz with the very same result. The 1x1 Pixel is the only thing you get. Maybe the link is just dead or the file has been moved...
EDIT; the download link doesn't even work....
thank you
That was realy helpful, thanx.
Maybe you know where I can download some ROMs too.
I need an english (or german) ROM for a Qtec 9100. I've tried the links on this site but these links seem to be dead (I allready posted that in another thread).
Maybe you can help me out here too.

Really?

I tried Chrome, IE 7, IE 8, IE 8 x64, lynx and links (Vista x64 and Linux) and always a blank page.
Maybe we could have a better page, like this file does not exist anymore or something like that...
Any ideas how I can get FlowPlayer installed?
I'm using MythDora 12.23 (MythTv .23 and Fedora 12) with MTS cyanoGenMod 6.0.0.. I'm trying to view the videos on FlowPlayer, it worked ok on original MTS, but now I get please download the plugin on default browser. I try to download it, but it says it's not supported. I am able to at least browse the mythtv web site.
I tried using Opera Mini Browser, but it to have problems connecting to like myinternalip:8181 (with HypertexTTransportProtocol in front of it) and yet it works fine to get to cnn.com. Any ideas to get this working?
Hey there I've had my HTC desire for a few days now and I found out that I'm unable to download files (mp3 in particular) from such sites. From mediafire, I get a binary file, .bin which is only a few kb and for 4shared, I get an .mpga file. Both files cannot be opened. I tried to download astro and enabled the download option as well as tried other browsers such as skyfire but they all gave me the same results. Did I do anything wrong? Btw my phone is rooted but unupdated.

Amazing Trick Requirement
*Android Device
*Opera Mini (It was only tested on Opera Mini but you can try on Opera Mobile and see if it works)
*File Manager(any)
What does the trick do?
I was derping around with my mobile
and found an amazing download. When I clicked on Download, I realised, oh BEEP
I was in Opera Mini, one of the worst download manager. One time your download breaks, it can't be resumed. I crossed my fingers and then hoped it does not fail. But it failed at 47 mb out of 50 mb
Fuuuuuuuuuu......
But then, I was so down, I decided that Challenge Accepted
I fiddled around and SUCCESS, I found out a way you can resume ANY broken download, even if you reboot your phone

For finding this trick(I hereby take no responsibility of your amazing data getting wasted trying or using this trick or your precious download failing or your device not able to run Bad Piggies or Asphalt 7 or Temple Run being laggy or IMEI loosing or Graphical Glitches or Devices bricking, blah)
Instructions:-
Read very carefully
1. Download anything IN OPERA MINI and wait it to fail (Here, we assume you downloading iamareebjamal.zip)
2. Once it is failed, DON'T CLICK ON RETRY and go to any file manager and to path of that file and rename it to whatever you like (eg: iamareebjamal2.zip)
3. Go again to Opera Mini and click on RETRY now.
4. As soon as it shows 0.1 mb downloaded, PAUSE it.
5. Go again to File Manager and you may see two files, first one which you recently renamed and new download file of approx 0.1 mb(or of size it was when you PAUSED it) [Paused file will have original download name such as iamareebjamal.zip]
6. Rename new file to whatever you want and rename the previously failed download to its original name [iamareebjamal.zip(paused download) -> whatever.zip] [iamareebjamal2.zip -> iamareebjamal.zip]
7. Go back to Opera Mini and resume the download. Download will RESUME from WHERE IT WAS FAILED. (f yeah) [Make sure Opera Mini isn't killed in renaming process as you may have to redo the whole process if it does]
8. Enjoy
This colourful and easy to understand guide was made on mobile using the individual typing of BB CODES by hands of OP
Please understand how difficult it is to do it on mobile by trying it sometime

No.
The op clearly states that it is for opera.
And other browsers (most) supports resume from break point. So its not needed.

Hello folks
to be honest i m sick of the sdk s so i worked to figure out a new solution to install xap to any unlocked windows phone
you need a wifi modem and an android smartphone
with you re android phone install wifi file transfere from play store
open it then click on start
you will see the ip adresse
with you re windows phone enter to that adresse but you need to write http:// first$
exemple http://192.168.1.10x:1324
and you will get a full acces to you er android sdcard
download the game or app you want then transfere it to you re android phone and download it to you re wp phone with a big speed
good luck
