anyone have the smart dock? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I just got one this past week. XBMC + the smart dock is amazing
and with a keyboard and mouse it really is a pretty capable mini-PC when you hook it up.
for those interested in getting one, I found it almost impossible to find one. I finally found that if you call a verizon store and ask about it, they won't have it, but they will order it for you and get one within a few days. you don't need to be a verizon wireless customer to buy a smart dock from them. if you have a buddy with verizon, get them to order it for you if they have a company discount.

Dash s620 dropped from T-mo website

I just noticed that its no longer an upgrade option and pulled from the online store. I bet its possible to get a good deal on one from the corporate stores since they are being phased out. Its been on the shelves forever, long live the dash!
Ha! My experience with the corporate stores is that they aren't even authorized to give you a discounted wrist-strap, let alone haggle with you for a phone!
Hmm...even wirefly reports the Dash as "out of stock".
What it should be good for is the second hand market as buyers barteing will be easier as no longer a shop product, even though we know Dash's still sell..........

HTC Desire at T-Mobile stores..

Does anyone know if I can buy the phone from a t-mobile store tomorrow? Can I sign the papers and receive the phone straightaway? Or will they deliver it at home?
Basically I want to buy a desire without my parents knowing, as I really should be saving up for a car... so it would be helpful if I can physically get the device in any way rather than getting it delivered...

Best thing is to ring your local store and see if they have them in stock.
You can sign the papers and take it away straight away if they do, they don't deliver at home if you buy in store!
P.S. There's dedication for you! Save for a car? Naaahhh I'll buy a new phone and gadget to play with
They dont have them in stock till after easter apparently. Thats because the online customers get preferential treatment i beleive. Saves them sending to a store when they can post from a warehouse. I got mine today!
I was told 7th of April places to get the device excluding ordering it online via T-Mobile

50% Coupon at T-Mobile

T-Mobile has a coupon on their Facebook page for 50% off any accessories in the store http://www.facebook.com/tmobile I think I may buy the 1650 mah battery for $25.00 with the coupon. Thanks me!
Coupon
Aren't they out of the 1650mah batteries right now? Couldn't find them on the website. Also, is it confirmed that the 1650mah fits perfectly into the Vibrant? Skip that. I can probably find an answer with a search
Why can i never find anything good when there is a sale on...
The 1650 does fit just fine into the Vibrant. I'm using one now
I love how t-mo sells car chargers for $30+ and cases for 20+ when on amazon you can get them for a dollar... *not to say I would trust these at $1 but still.
Thanks for the coupon I will check it out.
too bad they don't consider phones an accessory like I do.

That's awesome. I need to head down there - that July 4th coupon runs out at the end of the month I think.

Serious? I have been with them since day one (my old local provider was bought up by them) and they don't do squat for me. I found out last year that I had not used an upgrade credit in 131 months and I can't even get them to waive the $200 fee for taking my wife's bastard nephew off of my family plan...

they usually wont help me out. i was looking for a powerskin case (i dont keep my phone in my pocket, like... ever.. so the issues people complain about shouldnt be a problem for me) and asked one of the local store reps why they are dickheads now about upgrades on family plans... and he hooked it up with a workaround.
scenario: my grandma is my second line. she has a dumbphone and doesnt text/data. i want to use her line to get whatever SGS2 variant comes out in august, but if i do that, i have to add data on her line, even though she wont be using the phone.
i asked the guy wtf is up with that, how it's not fair because i'm still paying the data on my line and they're getting a 2 year agreement on that line.
the loophole:
i upgrade her line to get the phone, add the data plan.
i then buy a dumbphone at full price (one of those refurbished POS phones for <$40 on her line and remove the data plan.
i bought the mhl cable with the coupon for 10.81 and tried it with my evo 3d and it did not work. Is there something i need to turn on in settings on my htc evo 3d?
my TV wasnt finding a signal in the hdmi 3 port that my phone was plugged into
I ordered "Samsung" branded items from Amazon, the low end bluetooth earbud is attrocious. The wallwart with data cable would not charge the phone. The car charger worked fine. The earbud and wallwart/cable look to have been sold a few times previously. For the hassle I'm out the shipping and could only get a refund on one of them. I've now been waiting a week on replacements. I would not pay t-mobiles prices but I will shop local for any other accessories.

Did you get your free car kit?

I ordered my HTC One over the phone when the free car-kit advertisement was still on the T-mobile website. I asked the person on the phone if I still get the car-kit if I order over the phone because the website was confusing me. He said that he will include it into my order for me. I was pretty happy and thought he was really nice. Then when my phone came a week later, I didn't get the car-kit
I called in to ask where my car-kit was and the person said that if I ordered it over the phone I don't get it....:crying:
Now I'm kinda upset because I really wanted the car charger and stuff...
Could I still call in and ask them about it?
hou should demand it. they. made a sale. to you. including the. carkit so they are. legally bound to. deliver it. in. most countries. I had. similar. problems. with. Vodafone in Holland but in the end they had to comply with the promises they made in the sale.
I did
I called tmobile the day before and they told me the didn't know if I was getting it. The next day the phone and the car kit came in.

VZ pre-order offer 1 free broken screen replacement a year? Anyone remember this?

Anyone remember part of the pre-order offer where one of the things we got was a once a year free screen replacement? I distinctly remember this being part of the pre-order offer, yet I am having a hard time finding this info online. I AM finding info that there was going to be such an offer - this was in the various media articles telling us what the pre-order offers would be. But I can't find anywhere where someone has actually used this service which was supposed to be there if you preordered either the S8 or S8+ (I actually got both).
Yes, I dropped my phone and for the first time in about 4 years I have a device with a broken screen. It hit on the bottom of the curved edge on the right side - the absolute worst place to hit, on the curved edge. I had it in a pretty stout case, full wrap around flip cover case that covered the entire display, front back and sides. Still wasn't enough and the fall was about 3'....
Anyway, I contacted Samsung and they seem to acknowledge that there was such an offering, but that it was through Verizon and I needed to contact them. I contacted Verizon, and they also seemed to acknowledge that there was such a pre-order offer, but that I needed to go into a Verizon location to get it taken care of. I emailed copies of both chat sessions to myself just in case.
I feel that in the Verizon chat session the person was trying fairly hard not to come right out and say my phone would be covered for such a replacement (I realize they would probably just send a refurb instead of fix my S8+) phone. I do have assurian through VZ, but the deductible of $150 bites. So if anyone else can chime in that has used this once a year free display replacement and/or give further info/evidence that I can bring in to VZ when I visit them today that would be a GREAT help!
TIA!
I don't remember anything specific to screen replacement for the S8 preorder, although I believe you got one free month of Samsung premium care, which is pretty much insurance through samsung with a deductible and all (I believe the actual servicer of it is also Asurant). It is also possible that you are mixing Samsung up with other phones, as I believe HTC had the program you are mentioning.
Either way let us know how it goes.
Thanks for the reply!
I am not mixing this up for offers on other phones. First of all, I have not looked into pre ordering any other phones, ever, except for the Note 7 and the S8+. I did talk to a VZ rep on the phone in person before pre-ordering, and they told me about that added benefit of the once a year display replacement with the pre-order offer and gave me a web link where I then also saw the offer (that pre-order web link is long gone, I have looked for it). It was actually this part of the pre-order offer that made me pull the trigger - getting a free display replacement once a year. I am simply trying to have my ducks in a row before I go in to a VZ store to get this handled as they will likely try to make me use my insurance (which is ridiculously overpriced) and the $150 deductible to boot. And yes, I am aware of the one month free of samsung premium care, this was a different coverage than samsung premium care.
I will update how this goes once I go in to a VZ store. Was going to go today but don't have all the info in hand that I want to have when I go in.
Thanks again for your reply!
Update - neither VZ nor Samsung would honor the pre order offer. Samsung DID acknowledge that it was part of the pre order offer but said the carrier has to honor it, not Samsung. Seems wrong, but I am tired of haggling over it. So I did the Asurion warranty replacement routine - but of course the S8+ is out of stock.... good thing my phone still works!
On a side note, I went ahead and pre ordered the Note 8. Since I was a Note 7 owner (still am actually) I took advantage of the $425 discount off the total for the Note 8. I got the 256gb micro SD and wireless charging dock bundle as my pre order gift. So the Note 8 will cost me $535 on a 24 month zero interest payment plan. I also signed up for Samsung premium care. It is a couple dollars more a month than Asurion, but overall I feel it is a better insurance coverage. The first two months are free with the pre order also.
