We all know that zync z930 have very poor battery backup,
it discharges in about 45min to 1hr. . this is very disappointing .
i have observed that the battery is also 3200mAH and motherboard is not power saving.
but the main problem is battery is not acually charges fully. there is problem is battery calibration and it can't be solved by any battery calibration app.
So for now i have a solution to charge your battery fully.
1)disconnect all chrger,USB cables from TAB
2)Turn off your tablet , press reset once.(if needed)
3)now Press power button ONCE, & then press and hold volume UP button.
Now you will see Recovery menu.
4)now connect your charger, then select power off option from recovery menu.
use Vol. up down keys & power button to select.
5)Wait until battery get charged fully , when RED light turns off remove charger and turn on ur tab.
Feel the difference of backup.
ENJOY
To get more backup i have connected extra battery of 1300mAH parallel with original one.
i have found it on china mobile. Now m getting 4-4.30 hrs continues backup

So everytime we have to charge by the above method?
Or just charging by this method once will fix the problem permanently?
No improvement even after charging by your method.
same here. No improvement. Do we really need to do the reset? Because I did not do that and its giving around 45min video playback...
My tab was rooted.
I tried the method in which I included the reset button press
and the tab went in a reboot loop.
took a lot of time to flash again using g+ massproduction
there was some error at step 13.
Finally the tab is back and unrooted.
Battery looks the same though. 45 min to 1 hr with wifi.

Same here... battery ain't getting any further after 45min. Video playback on an average 38min. Damn you Zync!
Sector must be getting his backup from the additional battery.
Agree. He must be getting the back up because of extra battery. In that case, Zync gave a detective battery to all tablets?
That too it lasts exactly 45 min to 1 hr for each of us?
Wat is wrong? The reason I had selected Zync over bsnl penta was battery capacity.

The thing is that all these cheap tabs are China made. They are imported and re-branded. You can get this same Tab from some company called "DOMO" and a few others too. They know nothing about the tab, other than sell it. Zync promised a lot, only a few of them were kept. I think, additional battery is our only choice left.
Opening the battery and replacing it means our warranty is void. I don't have any trust on this tab and I don't want to open it till at least the warranty period.
My battery discharges when it is connected with charger. What to do? Seriously disappointed. I don't want to call customer care of zync because they are good for nothing.

i can't say about the extra backup from extra battery...
bcoz the extra battery is only 1300mAH 3.7V china mobile battery ....
but there is huge diffrence in backup in my tab . . . .
i've seen one full movie (battleship of 2.02hrs movie) & 1.30 hrs of gaming on the tab without connecting charger...
Here some tips to save battery. . .
1)Use only MX-PLAYER
bcoz this player uses dedicated HW decoder
2)use SETcpu app to control cpu freq.
-set cpu freq to low level during video playback .. i.e 216MHz
3)648Mhz freq. is enough for normal operations, but for gaming set it to highest.

Bro, you simply connected a 1300mAh battery in parallel with the 3200mAh? Without considering the current limiting circuits, mAh capacity and all that can possibly result in an explosion? Your tab is working fine in this setup?

UPDATE:
Turns out my phone is not completely dead.
If I plug it into the computer, it registers a sound indicating a USB is connected,
but not more than 2 seconds later, it sounds again (the sounds of a USB error, Ba, dum, dum)
When I look at device manager, I see: Omap4440 quickly, but then it goes away. This recycles about 8 times and then it just stops.
I read that this might be due to the phone constantly rebooting.
The screen never turns on. I can't get into the bootloader since the screen is dead.
The only problem now is how can I go about this?
-----------------------
I had more than 90% battery because I just unplugged it. I did a reboot to clear any background apps (like restarting a computer, right?) and it just never came back on.
I placed it into my pocket for that minute while it was rebooting but I never watched as the screen went off. When I took it out of my pocket, it was a dead screen.
I already tried volume + power. And/also holding power itself for a while.
Plugging it back into the charger doesn't do a thing. No charge. Screen remains dead. No vibration is present to indicate the phone at least came on.
What is going on here?
My only conclusion is my jacket may have created a static field which caused a short when I pulled it out. Could this be possible? Especially since there are 3 contact points for the dock on the sides?
Using a GSM version if that matters.

try pulling the battery out for 3+minutes, then put it back in and try booting.
Sorry that happened to ya. I would plug it in and keep it plugged in for a solid hour, then try booting it up. I had that happen to me on a previous Android....HTC EVO. I was rooted and just died (even though it said it had plenty of battery). For some reason it lied and was actually out of juice bigtime.
Rooted custom ROMS have known bugs, albeit extremely minute bugs. Give it a try and report back.

yeah, i know what you mean because it has happened to me before plenty of times. But this, it's different. It's practically dead and all methods i've tried has not seem to work. I'm seriously out of ideas.
So it's been charging over night and the phone is still dead and wont turn on.
I've even replaced it with a spare battery which I know is at least 90% full.
Anyone? I'm so sad why my nexus just died like that.
rebump... =-( I am so that it just died with no reasons as to why... I've had zero problems with it!
You could attempt an OMAPFlash on it, then reload the factory image via fastboot.
That works for me about 90% of the time in GNex repair situations such as this.
Good luck.
Any water indicators showing water damage? If not, start contacting your provider / insurance / Samsung about a replacement.

Op, plug it to a computer and check what happens. Otherwise call for a replacement.
Does this mean I will get a refurbish model? Can anyone quickly explain to me the process to get a new GN and the time it took for you to get your replacement?
If the power button itself is at fault, you can send a power on signal by plugging in the phone with no battery installed and then with the wire still plugged in insert the battery. This method requires no button input whatso ever
Edit , i used to do this by accident all the time while flashing htc devices. Not sure if samsungs hardware offers the same troubleshooting functionality and im not at a wire right now to test the theory. But its worth a shot.

I had something with these symptoms about 4 days into owning my phone.
The way I fixed it was booting into ODIN mode (vol down & power). The only way out of that one is also a battery pull.
Sorry: I meant to say: battery pull, ODIN, battery pull, then it turned on again normally.

I'll give this one a try. But I never thought a combination like that would revive a dead phone. I mean, it's dead as if it was just a children's toy with no electronic board inside. No power even though all 3 battery I tried have at least 90% charge. MY Charger is not defective as it works with my other phones.

This sounds like hardware failure to me. Drop the phone at all, ever? If not, could just be faulty hardware.
Honestly the Galaxy Nexus seems to be of poorer build quality (internals, screen, back cover, etc) than every other Android phone I've ever had. Not that I don't love my Nexus, just an observation.

I think its something with the battery.
when it's totally full the phone works normally, but it will reach very fast like 40 percent, i unlock the phone and it turns off. I turn it back on its 60% and its turning back off when unlocking SIM.
Really strange, i've wiped everything, tried some kernels/ROMS,
I'm on HBOOT 1.31 and the problem is the same for all ROMS also ICS Roms
I've tried to underclock it, because it's becoming hot, but that doesn't make a difference.
Maybe it's something with Wipe battery stats, i've done that for a ROM, it was necessary. Can't remember with ROM that was..
I hope someone can help me
btw sorry for my bad english

Get an app called cpu spy to see if your cpu is running 100% all the time.
Try to get another logcat so I can check it out tomorrow.

And you could try better battery stats .... To see what's happening with you apps/phone/batt around the shutdown ....

And again:
Code:
12-09 21:40:29.924 I/BatteryService( 432): Shutdown device! Battery temperature is too high (> 68.0 degree celsius)! battery temperature is 1181
But device doesn't feel hot.
Now he shuts down immediately after booting, probably because it's still to hot..
and the green/red light is flashing so, he is using more power than on USB on booting, not a bit weird?
I will use the battery stats app for a while to get some usable stats, very curious why the temp is so high
The CPU Spy Plus app says this after 20min:

}
And sometimes after a boot, I get this battery icon:
Don't know what it means, but if the icon is there, it won't take long before the next shutdown, mostly right after I insert the simcode..
Your battery is overheating, but it doesn't look like the phone is drawing enough power to cause that. New battery seems like the next step.
But the weird thing is, now if I turn the HOX on, he switches off immediately after i unlocked the sim.. disconnected from UBS/charger.
But if i connect to USB or charger it stays on, and battery isn't empty or hot.
According to the reading from your temperature-sensor, the temp of the battery is over 150°C (1587) which should be enough to melt the casing.
It almost certainly isn't correct.
My best guess is, that it is a hardware failure. New battery might be a good idea.
Edit: dial *#*#4636#*#* and press battery info. Post results here please.

I have been having this same problem for a month now.
my HTC one x is about a year old. just recently it started going off at random, especially when I insert my SIM card.
the phone operates well when the SIM is ejected but shuts off randomly when I insert my SIM card.
I have being thinking it has something to do with the radio.
I have installed battery calibrate and repair and its say the battery is ok and in good status.
I'm not sure what to do, I don't know if this is a sofeware issue or a hardware problem
I have an LG Nitro and for some reason it stopped charging. The notification icon shows it as charging but the battery continues to go down. I tried buying another battery as I thought maybe the battery was going out but this was not the issue. So next, I ordered a charging port and attached (soldered) it to the device, this also did not resolve the issue. I am kind of at a loss at what to do as the phone is in perfect condition but will not take a charge. The Nitro is rooted with TWRP recovery and CM 10.1 installed on the device.
I now have a Nexus 4 but was planning on giving the Nitro to my cousin but then this started happening right before my Nexus arrived.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on? All of the symptoms point to either a bad battery or charging port but this is obviously not the case.
Thanks
Also, if I plug the device in and hit the key, it shows the battery icon going up and down but it does not charge.
Come on, I know one of you has an idea as to what is happening
A few thoughts...
1. Are you using the official LG AC Adapter? If not, are you using an AC Adapter that's outputting AT LEAST 500mA? For me, in the car using GPS, even with a car adapter that outputs 1.0A, it can't keep up with charging the battery. It shows that it's charging, but the capacity continues to go down...
2. Are you using any kind of CPU under/over clocker? Like SetCPU? Check the settings and make sure you're not using some crazy profile, or better yet just uninstall it and test to see if things get better.
3. How about the USB Cable? Have you tried other cables to make sure you're not using a bad cable?
4. Double-check your solder work. Are you're connections clean, no globs or solder points covering more than a single pin? Connections are solid, nothing loose or gaps?
Good luck!

I do not think I have the charger that came with the p930 as it got stolen but I do have the charger from my Nexus 4. Do you think it will work? The N4 charger has 1200 milliamp output or should I order an OEM charger.
I think I used the charger from my HP Touchpad which is 2000mA but it didnt work. I may be mistaken.....
I will look into getting an OEM charger.
Might be charging...
Ok I made some progress finally!! I have a 700mA charger plugged in and now the LG logo comes on and then blinks off. :good:
Hopefully the battery is charging and by morning it will be working.
Wish me luck!!! :highfive:

The 1.2A from the Nexus4 is great. That should do nicely.
1. Are you ABSOLUTELY sure this adapter from the Nexus4 is working properly (have you verified that it's working fine with your Nexus4)? If so, then plug it into the Nitro.
2. If the Nitro is powered off, then when you first connect a power source, you should see the 'LG' logo come on for a second then go back off. After a minute you can short-press the power button and you 'should' see an animated battery icon that looks like it's filling up. The battery charging icon looks like this (lower quality image on the phone):

3. Let the phone charge for an hour. Now, press and hold the power button until you see the 'LG' logo, let go of the power button. The phone 'should' start powering on.
When you say 'Still blinking on and off', what is? If it's the soft-touch buttons on the bottom, that's an indicator that the battery is low...So, indeed the issue continues.

I mean the phone turns on, I see the LG logo and then it turns off. Then it turns back on and I see the LG logo and it turns off again. Make sense ?
I can get into Download mode just fine and would be able to get into TWRP but my sdcard crapped out.
I know about charging the device with the phone off (seeing the charging dialog) but the phone keeps turning off and back on blinking the LG logo.
If I still had TWRP on my sdcard, I could of went to the Factory Reset screen and went into TWRP and let it charge from there and then wipe it and install cm 10.1 again.
Is there anyway to load the recovery.img to the sdcard without being able to boot the phone? I am pretty sure I cannot use adb in Download mode so I am kind of stuck and I do not want to flash to stock if I can help it but I will if I have to.
I think its a hardware problem and your phone need to be repaired
I had a sony ericson p990 and had the same problem you said
The repairman told me he has exchanged some of transistors

I tend to agree with nss007, the constant fluctuation of the power/charging going on and off is a big red flag to hardware issues.

Well I actually took it to a cellphone repair company (only one in the area) and they had it for about a week and could not get it to charge. They also changed out the charging port and looked the board over. Of course, they were obviously not using the right charger as they could not even get the LG logo to come up. I am hoping that it is a software issue as the company could not find a single thing wrong with the phone or board. Of course, they mainly fix hardware (broken screens, charging ports, etc.) so I dunno how much experience they have with software.

A few months back, my Nitro fell off my table while the charger was attached. Ever since then, it is doing what you say; showing a charging icon but it actually isn't charging.
Just a few suggestions that I've learned over time dealing with this problem... When you are plugging it in, be sure it is setting where you intend for it to sit. Basically, don't plug it in THEN set it down. I've noticed that ANY movement whatsoever will knock the phone off charge but still show the charging animation/icon. This problem is completely independent of the state of the phone; i.e. what ROM I'm booted in to, whether or not I'm in recovery, and even with the device powered off.
How to tell if you are actually charging; open your settings and go to the battery settings. Where it normally says "Discharging" will change to "Charging (USB)" or "Charging (AC)" if you are actually charging. Even with the charger attached, any movement of the phone will almost instantly throw it into "Discharging" while still showing the animation/icon.
Hope any of this helps.

have you try to connect it with wall charger? If the phone works normally when you plug the charger than you have a sudden death issue because of battery defect. the only way out for sudden death is to replace the battery. If you still have a warranty just try to claim it, you'll get a new battery replacement for free.

1)Try to push the power button, if it will light red 3x proceed to next step. 2) open pc companion> support>repair>choose device model> connect device, just plug it in while holding the volume down until the pc companion recognized your device then release it, after finish try to boot up your phone, advise don't turn off your device again, if still unable to boot up after the repair, push the reset button at the back until it vibrate 1st(1 vibrate) 2nd(3 vibrates) then just leave your device in one corner for 2 days untouched, then plug in to your wall charger wait for 1 hour without touching any button then boot it up, i do this all the time on my xperia zl after every firmware update, I'm kinda sick of doing this but i need to, i still have 3 more month for me to go back home and get a nexus 5 as replacement phone, so disappointed to my zl, i love this phone allot!
I hope this works!
I am having a similar issue .. better described here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=231
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=238
what works to revive my phone is letting the battery fully discharge until phone no longer boots ... then if i press power i get three red blinks to connect the phone to charger ... after a few minutes of charging the phone boots normally whatever rom ( stock or custom ) i have installed.
i am still checking into the issue ... it seems like a hw failure to me and will try to send it to warranty
you may try that in case all the things you have tried so far are failing
Xperia ZL C6502 Red light on charge, no boot/flashmode/fastboot. Replaced Battery
I had the same issue on mine too!
While I was trying to play NFS on my ZL, it crashed and boot looped. My bootloader was unlocked and rooted with a custom ROM(Rajeev's) which was super smooth better than stock and worked fine for more than 3 months on it.
When it was bootlooping I thought that may be software issue and so reflashed the ROM from TWRP recovery.
It did not fix it, and continued to boot loop on upto the Sony logo.
One thing I noted while in recovery that sometimes the battery was 4 % and the next time in recovery it was 80%.
The phone finally came on, when I had the oppurtunity to connect it to a charger and worked fine, when the battery was fully charged i removed the charger and opened up any application and it would crash and boot loop.
So I thought, this is a Sudden Death issue reported by others and as a remedy ordered a new battery. The Original Battery dropped below 3.5V.
However, When I coonected the new battery the Battery port, on the motherboard heated quickly and within a couple of Minutes the Battery voltage was 2.7v and finally 0 volts.
Does this indicate, some sort of Short in the charging section, because the red light was off when on new Battery and connected to charger, but is on when battery removed and only charger connected.
The battery connector ports on the motherboard is showing : +ve at 0.01 V, -Ve at 0.00Volts and the middle terminal at 1.85 volts, so basically its not supply the app charging voltage to the Battery.
Can someone here, tell me what could be wrong and if it is possible to get this fixed .
Also, does the motherboard have a safety feature or fuse to open the circuit in case of fault/short circuit.
It is out of warranty btw!
RED LIGHT - no boot --- leave the phone charging with red light on. Do not touch, and leave it sit for 20-30 minutes, see if LED changes color.. if yes leave phone alone do not touch for 12+ hours. Your phones battery died, if that seems unexpected and you still have more problems then replace the battery.
Check this out. Solved my issue. I had the same problem.

Hi All,
I have a LG G3 that I OTA updated to SEA 20c last week (second lollipop update). Since then, when I rebooted I have been getting "Invalid Battery" error with the genuine Battery that came with the phone. It was working fine until that OTA update. Since then I have factory reset the phone. Changed the battery to a brand new genuine LG battery. I don't have warranty on my phone because it wasn't bought in my country of residence.

Sometimes it will shutdown with this screen and other times it will just crash and try to reboot.
At random times while booting up their is this blue screen
Any help in this matter will be much appreciated. Is there a way to go back to an older version of lollipop?
P.s. Battery I am using:
so no developer has had this problem?
I am also currently having this same issue with a NEW, ORIGINAL lg battery.
Desperately looking for a solution but cant find anything at all....
Have you found a solution to it? if so, can you write down what you did in order to fix it?
thanks

Batteries are covered by warranty
Just take it into the place where you got it or your local LG Service Center and they should replace it for free
Nope no solution. I even bought a brand new battery and still having the same issue. Even downgraded still the same issue. What I was told is it is a Power/Battery Kernal Panic that is causing this issue. But not been able to find and solution. Mine is not covered under warranty and the service centre won't service it because it was bought from another country.
check if the battery pins are pushed down. I have the same problem recently and was able to solve it by aligning the battery pins

The phone doesn't stay on long enough to update. I even downgraded that didn't help either.
Have you tried re calibrating the battery by charging to full with the phone off?
taken from the web.....
What does it mean to calibrate a smartphone?
The Android operating system has a setting called Battery Stats which indicates the battery capacity, when it is full or empty. The problem is that it sometimes become corrupted and starts displaying data that isn’t real, which causes the phone to turn off before reaching the 0%. The process of calibrating the battery would correct the information.
How to calibrate Android device battery without root access
Method 1
First you must check the capacity of your battery, which you can see on the battery or by searching for its specifications on the internet. Check our hardware section for your device.
Install an application called Current Widget: Battery Monitor:
This application will show the battery charge in milliamps (mAh). Charge your smartphone for the duration of time needed until you reach the total milliampere amount indicated for your specific battery.
When the required amount is achieved, turn off the phone and restart it. The battery will now be charged to 100 % and in theory shouldn’t cause any more problems.
Method 2
Fully charge the battery with the phone on and when the phone is fully charged, unplug the charger and turn it off.
When your phone is off, plug it into the charger and let it charge to 100% again. The green LED light will indicate when this is done.
Next unplug the charger, turn on your phone and set the option to ensure that your screen doesn’t turn off, if you have this option. Then reconnect to the charger and wait for it to charge again to 100%.
Once loaded to 100%, unplug the charger again and do not load until the smartphone turns itself off after reaching a 0% battery level. Once off, fully charge it again and it should work properly. The screen setting can put back to normal again (meaning turn off after a certain amount of time).
i fix the problem , micro sim card push out the battery , I cut the micro sim little bit more and I fix the problem !
