Is there a app out there that will allow and maintain a handwritten sms. All I find are the ones that convert to text.

S Note will do it. Inside your note select the menu and then share via. Select image file and then your messaging app. It will send as an MMS. Just to test you can send it to yourself to see what it looks like.

Thanks
But it has to be saved then sent, is there anything like a keyboard where you would can write with the stylus and directly import to the sms field even if it sends it like a mms
I dont think thats possible. You can handwrite a text but it will only send it as a text.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on CleanROM ACE 4.2.5 with Pie Control.
Go sms allows this

A lot of bloatware removed.
Screen on time after normal charge: 7-8 hours always.
Handcent also allows for a doodle during message composition. Obviously, it is sent as mms.

can anyone recommend an app that i can use to send text messages from an touch hd that has the capabilities of saving sent messages ?
cheers
Your phone is already able to do this by default.
Open Messaging (texts or email doesnt matter)
Hit right soft key - Menu
Go to Tools - Then Options
Hit the message tab at the bottom
Enable Keep Copies of Sent Items in Sent Folder

Pretty much any 3rd party app will do this (along with the stock winmo).
I use Vito SMS Chat for my sms. It also has the capability to backup you texts to your SD card!
Is there any good app out there for sending my business card info, or just sending my contact info to someone rather than having to type it all out. I am on the go alot and I plug peoples numbers in and would love to be able to just shoot them over my selected contact info through like SMS. But doesn't seem to be anything out there to do that. I found one app, but only info it will send is Name - Number - Email. I want something that will send all the info in the contact info of my phone, including my website etc... The app I found which is very limited and I don't like is called "Share Contacts Via SMS"
Thanks
bump it up
I use Handcent for many features including this one. You can attach a contact as a vCard or plain text, and you get a checkbox next to each item to include (numbers, emails, addresses, photo). Can't believe this isn't in the stock app!
If you do this a lot and the problem is just re-typing it, you can create and save a template with this info. In the stock SMS app, go to Menu->Settings->Templates. The icon in the upper right will let you create and save a template. Then when you are in the conversation/new message screen, Menu->Insert Template, pick the one you made.
But I would also recommend checking out handcent. I don't use this feature but it's a great app that packs a lot of good stuff.

This is in the stock Messaging app? If so, I don't see anything regarding templates.
Yeah, I don't see this template option in the stock messaging app. And I don't want to use handcent. Any other suggestions

Oh? I have a themed version of the stock app installed, though I stopped using it a while ago myself in favor of handcent. Perhaps the capability was added in by the person who themed it. I know his version of the dialer adds t9 dialing, but there's no note of added functionality on the mms link.
If you like or just don't mind the theme, the one I have is here.
I just bought a Nexus changing my Galaxy S2 ...
A couple of problems, though:
1) in the dialer, call log, I find no trace of the sms sent and received. In the S2 were identified and grouped by name.
There is a dialer that allows this? (I tried exdialer, but nothing).
2) you can change the shortcuts in the lockscreen, customizing? There are only "Camera", "Google now" (which for now does not help) and unlock the phone.
Thanks to all.

No other dialer allows you to keep track of sms sent and received?
Thanks for the reply.

none that i know of.
Widget Locker might let you do the second one. I'm not sure how well it plays with Jelly Bean though.

Anyone know if this is possible or if there is an app out on the Market for this?
I would like to be able to call up a Popup Dialer in the Note 2, similar to calling up a Popup S-Note with the S-Pen. I suppose I've had more than a few instances where I was reading something that contained a phone number that wasn't clickable and wish I could either keep that note open in a small window while I switch to the dialer, or else if I could just call up a mini dialer in a popup window so that I could dial the number as I was reading it.
I don't think the dialer is available in multiwindow mode, unless maybe you apply a MOD to have ALL apps available for window mode.
TIA
Great Idea! Might want to submit that to Samsung.
or dialer widget?

xperiacle has done this by adopting a tablet ui for the galaxy note 1.
Here is the link. Check out the second video in the OP "TW - Tableui" I would love to see some of this capability on GN2!

You could just use multi window. Works fine for me.

this looks really cool, so is any of it available for Note 2?
use multiwindow... or dialer widget and popup widget apps to make the widget popup when you hit a shortcut on screen.. to activate (without needing to go back to a home screen) you can use whatever you want.. wave launcher, dock4droid..etc.. or even just dock it in the bottom dock.

Hi,
I can't figure out why I am getting only a small size contact pic whenever someone calls me. In my earlier RN3 it used to be full screen size. Can't find any options in settings as well. Any idea how to make the contract pic full screen size?

The thing is, even I had my contact images synced from my google account but they wouldn't show full-screen like yours. I fixed it however by setting them again.
Contacts > Select Contact > Click on Floating Edit Contact Button/ Click on the empty profile picture up top > Choose new profile picture from gallery/Take a new photo > OK
Voila, next time the caller will show full screen contact image rather than a thumbnail for that person. Hope this helps! :fingers-crossed:
