[Q] A few bloatware questions - HTC One X

Using an app called Root app delete, I see that apps are divied into user apps and sytem apps. All of the bloatware I would like to remove is listed in user apps.
I assume any app in user apps is safe to remove (I have disabled them for a few days to be sure) - is this a safe assumption?
Also I learned that removing bloatware equals modding the ROM and that in principle you must restore them to recieve OTAs, but would this also be true if these apps are user apps and not system apps?
Thanks

User apps are generally safe to remove. If you want to recieve OTAs, you would have to restore it to the state it was when you recieved it.

Dude - are you sure you should be removing apps if you don't know what to be removing them with. No disrespect, just saying.
Anyway, if you want to remove apps, I assume you aren't talking about just any old app ??? Because of course, you can just uninstall apps within Settings, Applications, Manage Applications on vanilla Android.
If you want to remove system apps and stuff that can't be removed in Settings, Apps, ..., then you need something like Titanium Backup (I'm sure thats what most would recommend). Again, if you didn't know this already, I would recommend reading up on it. It needs you to be rooted, which isn't a problem if you read the threads on here. It also needs some know-how about what is safe to remove (see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089470).
If you just need to get rid of bloatware, you could flash a cleaner firmware that doesn't have lots of useless apps (I'm thinking of all the apps included in the France Orange firmware).
I hope this helps.

[Q] Freeze or Remove?

As you probably read, us R800x users finally have root without having to unlock our bootloader. My question is which is better(in your opinion), freeze stock/bloat apps or remove them? Please say why you which is better
Freeze - safe way of retaining system apps in phone. If titanium were to lose back up data or fail the apps would unfreeze. But no memory would be freed from freezing.
Uninstalling - free up memory and and won't see games in Xperia play app or widgets in list unlike freezing. But you could lose back up data or app won't reinstall (star battalion app) thus losing ability to update.
I would move all unwanted apps to sd card then freeze to be assured an easy update. Unless you aren't updating officially then who cares to keep the bloat.
Also to update you will need to move all apps back to internal memory and unfreeze them.

Freeze or Uninstall unwanted system apps?

I usually just use Titanium and just delete the whole thing if I'm sure I don't want to use the app at all. I was wondering what was the general consensus for getting rid of unwanted SYSTEM APPS on a root phone?
anyone have anything?
I just freeze all of the system apps I don't want. At least with freezing, if what you did ****ed something up, all you have to do is unfreeze the app. If it's already been uninstalled and deleted, you're screwed, and you will probably end up needing to flash a new ROM.

[Q] apps inside /system/app

i just updated my E4GT and installed Titanium Backup. The thing is that i went to convert to user app some bloatware apps but space available still the same even after reboot. My Question : is Android making ghost files to fill the space?

Since you have root, I would recommend using a root app remover that specializes in it. I'm not familiar with how TB does it, but your wording of "convert" has me confused as you should just want to remove the bloatware apps. PM me and I can give you some recommendations if you like.

When you convert an app from system to user its easier to get rid of remaining files, i used to do this with my Thunderbolt and then merging "Play Store updates" into rom and converting apps like Facebook into system apps. In Titanium you have options like "Convert to user app" and "Force remove app(by recovery exploit)" and it does uninstall bloatware and make some space in system partition, but in this case the available space is the same.

Secure Uninstall Bloatware on Android 6 (HTC One M8)

Hello Folks!
After Rooting my HTC One M8 with Android 6 Marshmallow i want to Delete the Bloatware with Titanium Backup. The "Uninstall" Button doesnt Work, i can delete the Bloatware Apps but when i Restart the Phone the Bloatware Apps are back
But TB have a Delete Force Option (over Security Hole in the System) but can anyone tell me which Bloatware Apps can be Deleted without the Risk of a Brick or unstable System?
And are the Bloatware Apps and all there files complete Deleted after this wipe?
I want to Uninstall the following Bloatware Apps:
Stocks, Facebook, Skype, Twitter, Fun Fit, Google News & Weather, Google News, Peel Remote, News Republic, Zoe Video Editor, Kid Mode
Hope someone can Help me.
Thanks!
Use a root explorer like Solid Explorer. Just search in Play Store. Navigate to /system/app and /system/priv-app to delete your bloat-apps.
Alternative you can use your recovery to delete bloatware. Recommend is TWRP
You can safely remove all the apps you listed in your post. There is no risk.
Hope this helps you

This is due to secure kernel on the M8. You can either search for, and install insecure kernel mod, or flash a custom kernel. Or use one of the methods mentioned in the previous response (TWRP, some other root apps).
If you have any doubts/uncertainly about deleting the bloat apps; you can test by freezing the app(s) in Titanium. Then use the phone for a while with the app(s) frozen). If no ill effects are observed, it is probably safe to delete the bloat app(s).
