Ice Cold Jelly rom. - HTC One X

Hi.
I've installed the Ice Cold Jelly rom from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2052610
I have some questions regarding to this rom:
1. Is the battery going to get better? cause right now it's not that good.
2. Can I install ARHD Kernel on this Rom? Because i've used ARHD for some time and the battery is stable and good there, but I don't want the sense design.
3. Is it possible to install ARHD Rom and theme it like Ice Cold Jelly or anything similar?
4. Is there anyway to get the Sense camera back instead of the 4.2 one?
5. For those of you who use ICJ - How much free RAM do you have?
Thank you!

Bump...

1. No idea.
2. No.
3. Yes. See themes and apps section
4. No.
5. Does not matter. Google linux memory management.

Hello,
I'm using this rom too, and I have a problem with wifi tethering.
It is not tagged as broken, but when I share connection through wifi, my computers (on windows 8 & 7) have a limited connectivity.
Is it a known problem ? I don't have this problem on Android Revolution HD 18.1 for exemple.
Thanks for your answer.

2. Ok, so I can't use ARHD Kernel while using ICJ. thanks.
3. Really? Is that possible to use 4.1.1 Rom [ARHD] and use 4.2.1 theme? [ICJ].
4. Ok, then I guess i'm going back to 4.1.1.
By the way, if I want to flash ARHD back and i'm using ICJ which runs on 4.2.1 - Do I need to do anything special? Or I can flash it normally?
Thanks!

3. Yes. It is called AOSPSense Theme if I remember right
You need to move data from /sdcard/0/ to /sdcard/. Mount usb storage in recovery and cut everything in /sdcard/0/ and move to /sdcard/.

Is it better to have Sense rom or naked android?

Here we go:
1. You are asking this question in THIS forum? You've got to be kidding
2. Yes
3. If you need sense and its widgets and apps, then stick with it. I don't like sense so i choose a faster rom without it.
4. This depends on your taste... I love DeFrost
5. Depends on your personal taste (battery, speed, appearance....)
1. Depends what you want to use your phone for
2. Yes, if you need them
3. I prefer Sense, don't like stock Android
4. I'm on stock FroYo for Sense (the official HTC 2.2 release)
5. Depends on what you want to use your phone for - my Quadrant score is 2nd only to the Nexus One 2.2+
Double-post rubbishness
yes it's much better....and rooted
just damn hard which to choose.

1. Yes, but only if you are aware and willing to accept the voiding of your warranty.
2. I haven't noticed any speed difference between rooted and non rooted, but obviously, you can 'tweak' the OS much more on rooted ROM.
3. I like Sense. Some love it, some hate it. See point 5 for further comment.
4. I use the first released and cleanest/least-modified rooted HTC 2.2 at... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741663
5. Personally, I want a rooted ROM with A2SD+/EXT support and nothing else changed from the official OTA.
P.S. no matter which ROM you go for, it's CRITICAL that you do a full-wipe, including Davlik cache, and that you also install the 5.09.00.20 Radio.
sorry, duplicate post
Thanks every one!! now i must to think what rom i want to flash
IMO the sense keyboard is much much better, dunno if you can get it on stock, never checked.

CRT Screen-on / off Animation for Android Revolution HD 5.1.1???

Hello, you can probably tell I'm new and can not post in the Development section to ask this question...
So, I have the ROM Android Revolution HD 5.1.1. It is a great rom yes.
I have seen the CRT animation and love it! but I can't download it from the Thread...
Does anyone have the files for me to download?
Also would anyone like to give me some nice instructions on how to install it...?
Sorry if I should have posted this in the Q&A...
Download the first .zip from this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947688
1. extract the bootanimation.zip from within the downloaded zip located in data\local
2. to your tools adb folder and
3. use the adb commands from that thread to install

LOL, I don't think that's what he's looking for (or is the plan to totally confuse him when he reboots? )
I think you're just going to have to wait until it's re-uploaded in the ARHD thread (it was getting re-worked for the new base used for 5.1 if I remember correctly)
//sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk; all errors entirely intentional.
Mine works with the above steps (Yes, i know theyre confusing lol) with the new base used in 5.1.

That's for the bootanimation not the CRT animation that the OP is looking for.
Here's the CRT animation, could be found in the second post in ARHD thread

You just install it as you would install the rom, flashing via CWM.
Be sure to read up the ARHD thread though as some people have encountered boot loops when also installing other mods at the same time as well.
Hmm, still don't fully understand how to install it. :S
I installed the ROM using ROM Manager. (all I know is CWM is a part of ROM Manager???)
EDIT: Thanks alot for the link!! and I also wanted that bios boot screen haha! But I don't think I'll bother, will never see it.
EDIT: EDIT: I installed the animation and also changed my boot screen! Love these so much! Haha, thanks alot
The link to the CRT animation doesn't work for me... Can someone post an alternative link? Thanks!
EDIT: Nvm I got it!
Issues
I found out some issues with that rom, android revo hd 5.1.1.
since im a new member here, i can not post in development threads, but i hope someone can help me fix the problem.
i installed the roms zip with cwm. no problems. tried to oc with setCPU didnt worked. i read about a few hundred posts in the thread when i found out that the problem may caused by that i did not flashed boot.img from the zip file. ive done that after but i still dont get the overclock possibility. any idea?
the other issue is with the battery tweek (Modified % Battery for Android Revolution HD 5.1.x (Thanks to krzysiec)) it causes bootloops after flash.

As per the hundreds of posts saying the same thing in that thread, you can't overclock it without a custom kernel.

Yeah. Since v5 there is no Custom Kernel that allows you to overclock.
I'm fairly sure he will be putting one in again at some point.

I don't know. I just stick with whatever one comes with the ROM.
I have no need to overclock.

Yeah, he already said he was waiting for Apache14 for the first custom kernel.
So I hope we get it with the 5.1.2 release.
5.1.3 is looking good! Can't wait to download it.
Custom modifications descriptions
Hi people, do we have a have a list anywhere of the custom modifications with a brief description of what they are - with screen shots/links to YouTube videos where possible?
I've just seen what the CRT animation is like and I'm going to install that after ARHD 5.1.3 is available, just wondering what the rest where like?

I'm sorry but what you do mean by 'the rest'? You can preview all the differnt boot screens I know that but most of the mods he has listed on his thread are just download links...
I want to know what 3.0 SMS is!!
I want to install some of these features like sms 3.0 etc on 5.1.3 , I understand it needs to be done via CWM but does it need to be rebooted into recovery and install like that or do ya just select install rom from SD card, also would anything get wiped off my phone when I do this.
I am quite new to all of this and have managed to get my head round the flashing radio and flashing android revolution rom but don't quite get how to do any of these extras that I would like to use

[Q] DeSense

Hi,
I'm currently using a viperx 3.4.1 on my hox and I am willing to switch to a non-sense rom,
Any recommendations ?
All I need to do is just to flash it and nothing more ?
I've thought trying the cyanogenmod, can I go back to a sense based rom afterwards ?
How can I do it ?
Thank you very much : >

i meant 3.6.1 JB, my bad.
I red something about A1 and A4 , what does it mean ?
Here it is :
If you go back to your old 4.1 backup from A1 to A4 (not A5+!) or going to newer betas/cm-10.1 nightlies : Do not forget to re-flash your 'old' or new boot.img.
Also note that you'll have to move your migrated data from /sdcard/0/ back to /sdcard/ (CWM doesn't know about /sdcard/0/ yet).

what does it mean ?
Lol
As far as i can tell they are talking about rom builds. Older and newer ones
A1 means alpha-1, A4 alpha 4 etc, etc. Don't touch the alphas because there are stable builds available.
Grab a nightly or a M-build. Your sdcard folder structure will remain untouched.

Afaik there are no Android 4.3 based Roms out there for the A100 . In my opinion the CYANOSAKI_FLEX_2.5.1 - Based on 4.1.2 is the one to use.
yes there is

[Q] Stable Android 4.x: Possible on Galaxy GIO?

1. Is it worth using Android 4.x on a Galaxy GIO in terms of stability and performance? Can I run it as my daily OS without wanting to experiment?
2. Which ROM would you recommend me then?
3. Is there any guide that explains how to install a custom ROM using Linux?
Thank you!
Anyone?

Is this one better than the ones provided by novafusion.pl?
Furthermore, can this ROM be used with Link2SD to overcome the low internal memory?
Tried this ROM for a while now. Works very well except for a lock screen DPI issues and sometimes issues with wifi sleep.
It can be used together with Link2SD.
