Problem of download of applications

Hello,
I'm new on this forum and by opportunity on CyanogenMod I've a problem with the download of application from Android Market. Indeed some download correctly while the others (as Maps) doesn't download (the download dashes then stops immediately).
Does anybody know the problem?

Up please I'm very lost ...

CM7 hboot? Cache of only 5mb is your answer. You can try with s2e or create a ramdisk which will get deleted after the update is done-it didn't work out for me, though.

Works in cynogenmod [UPDATE]Google Maps v6.2.0 ( + World Navigation activated)

Installation for cynogenmod users(use maps.apk)
1. In Titanium Backup, select Maps and make a backup.
2. Select Maps and wipe data, then uninstall.
3. Select Street View and wipe data, then uninstall
4. Install Google Maps 6.2.0 mod.apk
5. Go to market, and reinstall street view.
Other ROM use zip file
Flash it via cwm

Someone tried it on a CM based ROM to see if the crashing-bug is is still there?

Crasing? Try cm 7.1 from team cooper...best rom..

I think he asked for something else; Google Maps > 5.8 have been constantly crashing in every CM7.x Rom. Is this version crash free?

Hi, I'm looking for google maps ATM and found your thread,
I wanna ask, is it works on CM 7.2 RC0?
edit: I've flash it with cwm 5 but no maps showed up on my app drawer, anyone know why?

Google maps 5.8 has never crashed for me on any rom.

It'true 5.8 never crash but in my opinion 5.12 is better, faster than 5.8

People read on first page.
Cyanogen users must use "maps.apk" and stock use the zip file .
Dont forget to delete maps and street view first. Make backup.

Sorry but when i try to install it says: "the app is not installed"

[Q] Geolocation problem in Virtuos G-Lite rom

Hi! I flashed Virtuos G-Lite rom to my phone, and it works perfeclty exept Beautiful widgets keeps telling me that problem in geolocation, locatino does not exist. in other programs gps and other network-based location works and BW geolocatino works in every other rom that I have tried. Any ideas why it doesn't work?

You might have a bad flash .. rewipe and reflash the rom on to the phone

[ROM] enhanced236 - Paypal issue

Dear,
Yesterday I have installed the enhanced236 ROM.
I can't find or install Paypal from the market or the Paypal-site.
What i tried bymyself:
Install an other ROM (GIO Speedo and Light Orange); I don't have this issue. I can install Paypal
Today i went back to the enhanced236 MOD and i have again the problem: No Paypal. Not from the market not from the site.

-Is there anything I can do to have paypal on my Gio with the enhanced236 MOD?

I tried option 1 and 3.
Both solutions don't work for me.
I can find it in the market but still the message: Not compatible wit your device

Don't know if it's the case, but have you wiped data/reset during installation?
Or, it may have something to do with the CSC - default in the ROM is a romanian one, and since you obviously have another provider, it may conflict.
You can try to find a CSC for your country/operator and manually install it (copy the files to /system partition); unfortunately, automatic CSC selection only works with stock recovery and RFS filesystem.

WOW............ thats sounds new for me. This will take some more time.
I will google for a new CSC and after that i will try.
Please have some patience for a response, as i said: this will take some time and understanding. Since this week i tried to install a custom rom so i have to learn a lot.

Maybe you can download a modded play store on xda. I had the same problem when I tried cm9

Remember that most CSC changing guides use the automatic way (dial a certain code etc.) - it will not work on roms that use other recoveries/filesystem format. I can help you to manually add your CSC after you find the appropiate one.
Hint: look for a firmware for your country or even branded for your operator, if it exists. You can extract from there.

I think i have to give it up. This is, on this moment, a level too high. Maybe I have to install another ROM like Light Orange or so. It's also a nice ROM and a high antutu benchmark. Light Orange = 1824, Enhanced236 = 1835
Both ROMS are fast. The enhanced236 looks nicer........

If the problem its for compalibility of country, why dont you use market enabler? Its free on market ;D

try to get the app from another site and install it. But before, enable Install from other locations (it is an option to enable installation of apk files that are not from the market). I had the same issue with other apps and it worked for me

I already install the light orange rom. That one works fine too.

[Q] Scrapbook/Action memo/PEN UP problems

I installed [ROM ] [4.3] XXUEMI6 v2 ★14 OCT ★~.¸¸.·´¯☆HaWKiSH™EXTREME SERIE☆, but have a few problems.
Hope someone can help me.
1. Scrapbook ------- it works and seems saving the capture, but I couldn't find any records in the list.
2. Action Memo -------- corrupted during saving, but I can find the records.
3. My magazine --------I can view the summary but when I clicked it for more information, it will shows "Could not load settings. Please try again later". I believe Flipboard is forbidden in China. But how to replace it with Flipboard China version?
4. PEN UP ------------ no working, "Unfortunately, PEN.UP has stopped"
Others seem great. Anyone can help me?

This version of ROM as you know is leaked version which does have huge amount of bugs..
There is nothibg you can do about these problems unless you might factory reset and re install the rom..
Im on tigra v2.1 rom and its amazing so far

Thank you! I already wiped all and factory reset, but seems not perfect alwasy. I will try Tigra V2.1.
