No boot with Paranoid Android - HTC One V

Hi,
I tried everything, and I really tried to find the answer alone, but i haven't found anything.
I try to flash a rom on my HTC One V, the Paranoid Android one. My device is rooted.
I followed every written step, but it doesn't work : it stays on the boot animation of paranoid android.
What I did :
- flashed the rom
- flashed the kernel Hellboy with the software "One V all in one"
- flashed the Gapps
- tried to boot...
And it doesn't work.
Have I done something wrong?
Thanks!
In fact, even with my backup, it doesn't boot. Is my phone bricked?
HELP : I tried to do a RUU, but it doesn't work! It fails, and on my phone i can read : "RUU / Hboot Version is older! / Update fail!"
I so much need your help, I'm so desperate... Tell me that I can fix that :''''(

You did not do a factory reset.

wipe data / factory reset
install the rom again

Flash kernel in fastboot mode
Enter into recovery mode
Wipe data/factory reset,
clear cache
Clear dalvik cache
Install rom
Flash gapps
Reboot
Hit thanks if I helped u!!!

I have been able to flash a RUU, the one I had was too old. My phone rebooted.
Once again, I tried to follow step by step every tutorial, my bootloader is unlocked, my phone is rooted, and I do what it's written, but it doesn't work.
I exactly did what bahubali67 said, and I still have a bootloop. My phone may be bricked once again...
EDIT : Bricked...

Does ur device boots into bootloader menu??? If yes then ur device is not bricked..
Hit thanks if I helped u!!!

It does boot in the bootloader, but even with the stock nandroid backup, it doesn't boot. I had to flash once again a RUU...

[Q] Bricked & out of ideas

I'm pretty new to installing ROMs and I seem to have screwed something up. I was trying to install CM10 but it didn't work. I wiped system and installed from my sd card and all I got was a black screen. I went to restore from my backup, but somehow it got corrupted. I've tried flashing different ROMs, following youtube tutorials, even tried the ROM Update Utility, but no luck.
I'm out of ideas... any help for a poor, ignorant beginner?
Are u able to get into bootloader?if yes, then again flash cm10 and flash the Hellboy kernel, this step u missed that's why it isn't booting.

I can get into bootloader. I tried as you said and flashed cm10 and then the hellboy kernel. Now it goes to the white htc screen w/ the red lettering... any ideas?
For going into bootloader press and hold power for 10+ seconds and when screen goes black release power and press and hold volume down until u get into bootloader.then select fastboot from the menu and then flash kernel.then go back to bootloader and from there go into recovery and do a full wipe and then flash cm10

Same result... it seems like everything's working when I do it, but when I reboot I just go back to the same screen w/ the red letters.
i'll help you:
these steps are to be made in the EXACT order:
reboot into bootloader, flash Hellboy latest kernel (for GSM if you are GSM, i don't know if this kernel is for CDMA also. If you have CDMA, please flash Super Sick kernel).
after the kernel is installed, use the menu to reboot to your recovery or use adb and type
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery
when you are in the recovery, do these:
factory reset
wipe system
flash the desired rom - in your case CM10
reboot the phone
let it stay for 1 min after the reboot
reboot again in the recovery (use the menu from within the rom to reboot to recovery)
flash gapps package for jellybean;
reboot the phone
the phone will now stay a little longer until it reboots because dalvik will decompile the google apps you've just installed.
congrats, your phone is working
P.S: the line to flash your kernel onto your device, is:
fastboot flash boot boot.img (you have to rename the kernel you downloaded to "boot.img")
Why u know post in correct sections

Thanks! One hiccup, when I try to do factory reset it fails saying, "unable to mount '/sd-ext'. What does that mean?
Okay, I think I'm getting closer! I guess the twrp recovery I was using was bad or bad for my phone, because I flashed an old version and on reboot it went into loading the rom, I guess from a previous flash. I went back into bootloader, flashed supersick kernel, factory reset, wiped system, went to recovery and flashed the rom. I let it reboot and now it's stuck in a boot loop. I went ahead and put it into recovery and flashed gapps and rebooted. Still in a boot loop. Any ideas now? I really appreciate the help...

All in one tool for HTC one V
so, to start, reboot in recovery by using volume DOWN + Power. Once you are in the bootloader press fastboot and plug the USB cable in the phone ( you will see fastboot will change into "fastboot usb") then open the All in one tool and flash the kernel from the link, flash the recovery from the link *(all in one v interface is prety intuitive you cant get lost). and after you do this follow Icebox's steps into CWM. Factory reset, wipe data, flash room, reboot, flash gapps, reboot. enjoy phone!
thanks to all the devs that created these tools !

ah sorry, i did not know you are primoC, in allinone you also have a CDMA recovery, i dont know about the CDMA kernel but everyone talks about supersick so yeah, try to research what version of supersick you need for CM10 and flash that one
Well, I seem to just be going in circles... nothing I've tried has worked.. still getting boot loop. Flashing supersick and CM10 hasn't worked. I've tried it with cwm and twrp. My factory reset still says failed to mount sd-ext.
I dont know how much different is primoc from primou, but i remember i had a reset to factory in the bootloader aswell. and, as i said, i had the problem with mounting but i rebooted recovery and did each task (reset, flash) in a new recovery boot. i am brainstorming here but i am out of ideas, we are missing something here clearly, but as long as you have acces to the bootloader hope is not lost

[Q] HTC One V Stuck at RECOVERY MODE screen

Hi! I tried flashing my HTC ONE V (GSM) with Pacman ROM available on this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....8770.
I started from the very beginning of this process and here is what I did :
1. Unlocked my bootloader using HTCDEV site. ---- WORKED WELL.
2. Installed ClockWordMod recovery - touch version. ----- WORKED WELL.
3. Downloaded Pacman ROM from above link posted on XDA developers only.
4. Downloaded GAPPS for 4.2.x from the link available on the same link above.
5. Fastboot flashed my phone with BOOT.img file available with Pacman ROM ZIP file. ---- WORKED WELL.
6. Copied both the above ZIP files to my SD card.
7. Restarted my phone in Bootloader mode; went for RECOVERY mode from there.
8. CWM Recovery Screen comes up - v5.8.3.1
9. WIPE Data/Factory Reset ---- WORKED WELL.
10. Wipe Cache Partition ---- WORKED WELL.
11. Wipe Dalvik Cache ---- WORKED WELL.
12. Install ZIP from SDCARD.
13. Chose respetive Pacman ROM ZIP file & INSTALLED. ---- WORKED WELL.
14. Rebooted phone.
15. Installed GAPPS ZIP file in similar manner. ---- WORKED WELL.
16. Rebooted phone and still stuck on same RECOVERY MODE screen stating that "This build is for developers only....".
I followed all instructions and applied them in correct order but my phone is now stuck completely.
I tried restoring my backed up ROM (I did made a Nandriod backup of my ROM before starting this process!) but after successful install when it reboots it lands on the same screen and get stuck again..painful!
I even tried FACTORY RESET option with HTC Bootloader..no benefit from that even!
So, I can sense this is a BIG trouble now! Right?? Can somebody please help me in this?
Thanks in anticipation guys!
Cam you get your phone in fastboot mode? Maybe you can than use an official HTC RUU. To let your phone start again.
Then you can try to install pacman rom, see if the problem still comes up
EDIT: RUU downloads are here

Hey!
Yes I am able to Fastboot my phone and I tried installing the HTC RUU as well from the link you provided but still it stucks to the same screen and keeps on restarting every 10-12 sec.
The problem still persists, badly!
Please help..I really don want to pay extra bucks to service center for unbricking my phone.
i think you should flash a kernel, which compatible with stock before you can restore back stock rom.
R: [Q] HTC One V Stuck at RECOVERY MODE screen
You need to down grade your radio I guess , I'm on the phone now , search in general there is a guide on how to do it
did you try holding the power button untill it turns off (10 sec) then turning it on. when i go the recovery it says the same thing

Are you able to boot into boot loader mode..?? If yes from there move to recovery wipe everything and flash another ROM and kernel..+ if you want to move back to stock don't try using RUU method search for a stock ROM backup that has the same hboot and radio version as your phone...(if u are able to bootloader mode, there are 99% chances that you'll recover your phone by yourself..)
Good luck...

[Q] Trying to upgrade to CM10.1 keeps failing.

After a few unsuccessful attempts to flash my HTC One X up to CM10.1, I found out my hboot version was too low, so after much reading, trying and failing etc. I managed to get my hboot up to 1.36 (even after having my phone stuck at the white HTC boot logo for about 2 hours), but I still cant install the version of CM10.1 that I spent hour trying to do at the weekend (cm-10.1-20130312-NIGHTLY-endeavoru.zip) it still fails at the hboot checking point.
My main question is what would be the process that I would need to get the lastest version of CM10.1 to work?
Details from my phone
hboot - 1.36
CID - ORANG001
RUU - 2.17.61.3
I know there is a new boot.img that needs to be flashed after CM10.1 has gone in and was reading earlier about the stable releases, which is fine I have no problem with that, but I just cant figure out why I still cant flash 10.1 even after hboot upgrade which was a pain having to go back to a stock rom after re-locking my bootloader etc.
I know this stuff gets asked so many times, this is probably a repost but I just dont want to have to troll through hundreds of posts if the process is just, flash this, now this... done...
Thanks for reading.
Check for something called "vendor" it needs to be installed after the rom. Dont shoot me for this info....i haven't checked it myself ! But read something about it from the sideline
Go to CM thread in original dev section, in first post you can find a vendor installer zip that you must flash in recovery after flashing the ROM.
This is due to vendor files being taken down (DMCA),that's why latest zips have them missing and can't boot.

Yeh but thats my problem, how can I flash the vendor installer after the rom when I cant actually get the rom to flash in the first place?
If I grab the lastest nightly from clockworkmod app on my phone, tell it to wipe cache and then install rom, it reboots the phone like normal, I get the ruu replacement screen it does some of it, then flat out fails at the hboot check, I then have to use recovery to reboot the phone and it back on the original rom but I have to setup everything again (install apps and such, connect to my google account for contacts etc)
Bump
The steps are
Make a FULL wipe in the recovery
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Mounts & Storage - format cache,data,system
Then install cm10.1, gapps, vendors - DO NOT REBOOT IN BETWEEN AND ALSO NOT AFTER THE INSTALL !
now head back to the bootloader
Adb reboot bootloader
And flash the boot.img from the cm10.1.zip file
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot reboot
Should be it !

Can't flash any JB custom ROM

So I've bought my phone secondhand a few months before, rooted and with ARHD 9.X.
Then I decided I want a JB custom ROM and tried to upgrade to ARHD 19.2 (JB), and also Viper X 3.4.0 (JB). - NO LUCK.
I,ve upgraded HBOOT to 1.39 and followed all the steps required for Jelly Bean upgrade (or so I think).
ISSUE
After flashing, my HOX managed to boot the system, even start the start up process, but after a minute or two everything froze up and restarted, again boot, restart... Some kind of a bootloop.
Then I just went to the older version of Viper X 2.7.0.
I really want a new JB custom ROM, but can't have it because I'm obviously missing something.
Please assist...

Did you flash the boot.img from the new viper rom ? And did you perform a FULL wipe in the recovery before you installed the new rom ?
And for additional info, can you do a fastboot command for me
Fastboot getvar version-main
AW: Can't flash any JB custom ROM
If you didn't flash the the boot img then download it from the ARHD thread. There is a bat. Which do it for you. Very easy

I did flash boot.img that was on the viperx's thread, also tried with the .bat file when I was trying to flash new ARHD ROM.
Before flashing every ROM I did factory reset/wipe, wiped cache partition and wiped dalvik cache.
Mr Hofs, I did the following command:http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1832227&stc=1&d=1364214488
May i suggest you turn to stock first to check its all fine
http://bugsylawson.com/index.php/fi...-r-radio-5120416229-release-302015-signedexe/
Download the ruu, put the phone in the bootloader/fastboot usb mode ....lock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
Then right click the ruu and select " run as administrator"
ok, so I just installed the stock rom with your instructions and my HOX froze again... really frustrating.
do U have any more ideas what can I do?

Vander....
Could please write down ALL the exact steps you take with installing the new rom ?
From boot.img , recovery actions .... all used commands ... Etc etc etc
a few months ago I installed JB RUU and actualy managed to update it via software update.
That just reminded me that I was able to keep stock rom active without freezing when it was on charger. how weird is that?
anyway, this is how I did the software update. but as soon as I jacked the charger out, it froze again.
i don't know what else I can do, except stay with my current ROM. but I'm not happy with that.
any constructive suggestion or ideas would be great. thanks

yes. but that happened only with stock rom. i tried that with ViperX JB and it didn't work.
did you ever hear of such case?
Yesterday i tried Viper X 3.4.0:
1. downloaded ROM and boot.img from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2087443
2. put ROM to SD card
3. reboot to fastboot usb mode
4. open CMD in fastboot folder - > entered: fastboot flash boot boot.img -> OKAY
5. unpluged USB from phone, went to recovery in fastboot mode
6. CWM recovery -> wipe data/factory reset -> wipe cache partition -> wipe dalvik cache
7. install zip from SD card, browsed to ViperX 3.4.0 and selected it
8. went through setup process, chosen wipe data in installation (just in case)
9. finished installation
10. HOX loaded ROM successfully, started setup, after few moments FREEZE
Oke try this :
Flash the viper x 3.4.0 boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Unplug the cable and enter the recovery.....
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache

HTC One X Question

Hello,
Sadly I can't post in the development forums, so I'm asking for help here. I have read and searched the forum but couldn't find the suitable answer.
I have a HTC One X, UK version, which was T-Mobile branded (CID TMOB_005).
I have downloaded the "HTC One X All-In-One Toolkit" by "Hansoon2000". With this tool I have managed to unlock the bootloader, and flash the TWRP recovery toolkit. I have used the TWRP to make a backup which is saved on my computer. I then cleared the Cache and then installed Android Revolution HD 31.2. Once this was finished I used the All-In-One Toolkit to flash the boot.img file.
After rebooting the phone brings up the HTC logo, but doesn't do anything else. Have I missed something?

First boot takes upto ten minutes, if after that it hasn't booted, goto the bootloader fastboot usb and flash the boot again. Then go to recovery and do a factory reset and then boot.
Okay thanks nms247, I'm doing that now.
Just to confirm, I am doing this in the right order...
Wipe cache
Install Revo
Flash boot.img
Reboot phone

I don't need to do anything with HBOOT do I?
I did have 1.3.9 which as far as I could tell was suitable for this rom.
I've tried using a different ROM (MaximumHD), and it appears to be working now
Thanks for your help nms247!
A gold star on the way
you have to wipe all not only cache...wipe data/ factory reset...then format system and wipe cache and dalvik cache...after that flash the rom and to be sure again the boot, img in fastboot from rom.zip and fastboot erase cache that should work ALWAYS ...if not could be bad zip because something is missing there
One-X-master,
After wiping all data, I was able to flash different ROMs.
Thanks
