[Q] green LED when full charged - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm just wondering why my note 2 does not turn on the green LED light when my battery is fully charged?
The red LED will stop lighting when the battery is fully charged
but I don't see any green LED after that
can someone help me?

It's possible that somewhere down the line, the display must have turned on without you noticing, and Android OS assumes you have already checked the phone's battery status; therefore, the green light disappeared. Try charging next time with phone set to Airplane Mode switched on; if the green light still doesn't appear after 100% charge, update us.

Even having the phone right next to me plugged in.... no green LED when fully charged. Stays on red.
Checked the LED with *#0*# and green is technically ok.

Blinking LED

All of a sudden the solid green LED light started blinking and I am unable to stop it from blinking on and off.
I've tried to do a soft reset and turned off the power.
I disabled all notifications using the light and nothing seems to be working.
the light is supposed to blink..it indicates that you have a phone signal!!

Unless it was indicating a full-charge assuming you were charging the unit.
I was thinking of something else when I noticed the blinking light - aka brain fart

Tilt 2 LED - Just network signal?

Hello,
I just got a touch pro2 lastweek and I am beating my head trying to figure out what the deal is with the status notification LEDs
I see one to the LEFT of the earpiece/speaker that flashes green every few seconds and then just stops - all the flashing stops. I'm thinking the bliking stops when the phone goes to sleep. So i press the power to wake the phone - but the flashing doesn't come back. I was thinking this is the network/signal indicator but doesn't seem that way.
I see another that's to the RIGHT of the earpiece/speaker that doesn't go on at all.
So no way to tell if the phone is on wifi network or if bluetooth is on (without obviously waking the phone up and checking on screen). I'm looking for a way to see status without touching the phone - like my old HTC TyTn (rest in peace!)
It turns red when you charge you're phone.
It turns green when you are fully charged (with the charger still in)
It blinks green when you have a new message/e-mail/missed call.
It blinks red when you're batterie is almost empty.
That are the basics
thanks! that's about what i seemed to have gathered too... what about that fake light like thing to the right of speaker? never lights up?
and no bluetooth/wan notification ten, right?

thats the light sensor for the screen
adjusts brightness depending on how much light is hitting the phone
Below is a description of the LED lights straight from the manual that came with my Tilt2.
* The Notification LED shows a:
Flashing green light when there are new SMS, MMS or email messages, missed calls, or reminders.
Solid green light when the device is connected to the power adapter or a computer and the battery is fully charged.
Solid amber light when the battery is being charged.
Flashing amber light when the remaining battery level reaches below 10%.

That's pretty much exactly it. There is a program floating around that allows you to change the light and customize the reason it flashes, but I think it's just fine the way it is .
it also flashed green then the red light really quick when its overheating :O
thanks for the quick replies folks.
I saw that in the manual too - but i never go by the manuals! i can't count how many times my manuals have been wrong about a particular function.
it's a disappointment since the older Tytn was much more friendly about the notifications. but i'll deal with it.
as far as that being a light sensor - i think it makes sense. I'll try trick it to see what I notice. Then I'm guessing it's the proximity sensor that's around the HTC logo? I think I was in the sun when I saw it but there's some sort of sensor around there. I figured that's the light sensor. perhaps not.
Thanks again!

amber and green led broken, blue is fine - possible?

My amber (red) and green notification LED stopped working. When I connect a charger battery indicator shows charging, but LED is dead. Also, when I plug in charger on phone turned off nothing happens.
I installed LED me know, and noticed that blue LED is working fine.
Is my hardware broken? Or its software? I already do a full wipe and flashed another ROM, nothing changed.
It is certainly possible it is hardware but to have 2 of 3 LEDs break at the same time is unlikely. You truer to reinstall the ROM but no change.
I think maybe checking the hardware with a multi-meter if you want to open it up would be next.
What did you do right before the LEDs whent bad?
Now Im running stock Froyo from RUU. Nothing changed, green and red LED are dead.
Well, I plugged in charger and noticed that red LED is off then I tried to plug microusb into phone again, LED flashed for a while and stopped working.

[Q] Why no LED blinks when battery is dying?

Hi there, I am currently running Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 on my HTC Desire Z and having some issues with the notification led in the speaker:
Why, when battery is nearly flat (under 10%) no LED blinks and if I receive a text the green one keeps blinking unless I reboot the device?
I would like to have the amber LED blinking when battery is dying. I already tried LED ME KNOW but works for a while than stops especially after a reboot.
Thanks in advance.

The blinking LED under 10% is just going to happen. Not sure how you'd change it, as the function is built into the ROM.
The trackpad should still pulse properly when you receive a message though.
Thanks for your reply martonikaj, anyway the speaker led seems to go crazy when battery goes under 10%!
Now, I received a text 15 minutes ago, read but the green light still blinks.
I simply would like to have the amber (or a red) Led blinking to remind me, when I'm not using the phone, that I have to recharge it!
Anyone is experiencing the same issue as me?
EDIT: Seems that someone else has the same problem here, with no answer either:

mine's the same way. I have a consistent green speaker LED blinking under 10%.
I just never really get under 10% that often so it doesn't really bug me.

I realize that the green led doesn't blink to advise you that your battery is nearly dead but simply because, after reading a text or other notification, the device cannot "get rid" of the green light. In fact if you reboot the phone it goes away and doesn't show up unless you receive another notification.

Well its not that it cant get rid of it, its that the system tells it to blink the LED lower than 10%, and that's overlapped by the fact that the notification also blinks the LED green. So after the notification LED pulse is gone, it just continues because the system picks up where the notification left off.
Either way, yes, its a bug.

Not in my case. If I don't receive any notification the green LED doesn't blink, even under 10%.

You are 100% right! As far as I know it hasn't been solved yet. CM 7.1 RC still have this problem.

Red light flashes while charging

Also the phone gets hot during charge. Got it today, is the flashing red light normal during charge?
Yeah mine blinks red too.. Im pretty sure thats normal when its charging. Itll turn a solid green when its done. My G4 gets hot while charging only if the screen is on or if i have alot of background apps open while charging.
It's at 100% and now the green light is flashing. This is normal???
you can turn it off in settings
OK, but is this normal?
Please just want to make sure the unit is not defective.
Normal, mine fades in and out.
Also, if I receive a text/email/other notification, then the LED will switch over to a different color/pattern to alert me of the notification, as intended. This will happen instead of the orange pulsing LED "charge" mode. So if you glance at your phone while plugged in and charging, but it's not displaying the pulsing orange LED charge mode, that could be OK too so long as you have a notification.
If you clear the notification, the phone will go back to pulsing orange charge LED. I think this is a dumb design feature, because if you happen to glance at your phone the LED could be dark/blank because it's in-between notification pulses after you got a text or whatever. So you can't tell at that moment whether the phone is unplugged and not charging, or just between blue pulses of the notification LED, and you'd have to wake up the phone to check.
Instead they should keep the orange LED on any time the phone is charging, even if you get a notification, and then they could momentarily pulse the LED from orange to blue for the notification. Dumb to switch it to off/blue even while charging.

I agree, I think it's strage to make the charging light look like a notification is waiting to be checked,
I thought my battery was faulty because a few times when I unplugged and then re-plugged, the light would stay red, then start flashing after about 10 seconds. and sometimes it didn't even do that, it just started flashing. And this morning when It was charged to 100%, it was green but still flashing, not a solid light like you'd expect.
I would have thought more people would be confused by this, considered every phone ever has a solid charge light, not flashing.
So everybody that owns a G4, when their phone is on the charger the red light blinks?
Mine is.

I received my ne LG G4 phone today and am charging it. Instructions say it takes 12 hours to fully charge, but I have a green light after about an hour. What does this mean?

Green means fully charged.
Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
I think it's the same for all.
I have a H815 and I have a similar issue. When I plug it in at 0% red LED blinks for 10 seconds without charging. Then it turns back to normal animation and charges. Maybe the battery got old?
