I have been using Noozy + Noozxoide Pro. It sounded amazing until I started messing with the EQ in Noozy. Now I can't get it to sound right anymore. I seem to get a lot of distortion when I have it cranked up on the system in my car. Might make the jump over to Poweramp though. I have heard good things.

That's because noozy over powers pro. Clear data on it
music player
Definitely Player pro and zplayer (both using stweaks).... player pro because of its versatility ( i can switch tracks with screen off) and zplayer ( because the equalizer sounds great and it looks top notch visually). Both get get updated regularly.
I use the default, google, and power amp. I just have everything set to normal or flat. Default and Power are good for stuff stored locally; google as well. Google is for when I want access to my thousands of songs in the cloud. I only store a few hundred locally.
Equalizer cannot over a good set of cans and amplifier. I suggest looking here: HeadRoom

+1 noozy does a great job with out needing to spend a lot of time.
I use a $20 pair of skull candy headphones at work and love them with noozy tweaks with noozy player based off the AC!D tweaks.
Poweramp has equalizers and gain but combined with stweaks which does a great job together if your headphones could handle it I had poweramp before and sounded great added stweaks to the mix and adjust both settings on both apps and sounds better than ever.

so i ditch my ipod for my phone a long time ago......my evo and G2X had CM7 roms which allow me to control the music, next and back with the screen off with the volume keys. is there anyway we can have that on our SG II?
i try a button remapper app but it only let me change the four buttons in the bottom.
also is there anyway you can disable that auto hide of buttons while you play music in the lock screen? thats so annoying i want my buttons to stay there. i wanna be ble to change the music while having the phone in my pocket.
1. volume keys to change music with screen off?
2. no autohide for media keys in lock screen?
thanks a million
my most two miss features of CM7
by they way are we going to see CM7 sooon? i can't wait.
i love ubermusic but i am really liking stock for 2 reasons: gesture controls to switch tracks (eyes on the road) and it keeps my playlists. im not sure if ubermusic did 5.1 either but this won't matter to most

I love the 50/50's, but I think the Beats sound enhancement is phenomenal. Turning it off/on really allows you to hear the difference although I'm sure messing around with the EQ settings can be just as effective -- I just don't know enough about tweaking sound system to get the EQ just right.
Beats with 50/50's is great.
Beats Audio beats the crap out of dsp. Their headphones suck, but the eq on sense is great. Also, screw skull candy. My jvc earbuds kick a**.
As for the op, all sense roms out right now have beats audio.

I found that Beats sounded good when it worked, but it frequently didn't. It would turn on and off on some songs, causing noticeable fluctuations in volume.

Havent played much with it yet but wanted to point out something...hopefully a small bug and not a problem.
Flashed it, wiped cache and dalvik. Didn't use the phone for another hour or so when we got in the car and neither navigation nor Pandora could be heard more than a whisper even though the volume was cranked on the car stereo and on the phone.
I just opened the Walkman app and boom the sound came back. Closed the Walkman app and the sound stayed.

in my case via Aux-in.
so far audio is still at the regular volume since the first time I opened the Walkman app.
After some research, I found that Voodoo Sound is not to be working on Galaxy Note 2.
What will you recommend as a best alternative? I stream music via aux cable, and am currently using BassBoost, which is Ok, but nowhere as good as supercurio's app I used on my Droid Charge.
Suggestions appreciated.
Also, how can I stop phone from automatically reducing volume almost to nothing every time aux cable is plugged in?
Thank you
Regarding the volume drop: check that the sound is set to stereo and not "surround". It may be the problem.

I'd like the community input on three issues,
First would be what audio processor should I be using? Ie Walkman or any other flashable audio software?
Second, is poweramp the most ideal music player for this setup?
Third, how in the heck do I get navbar on the left or right hand side. Being on the bottom has its disadvantages when it's 2 feet away

Pretty sure hiding the nav bar with GMD doesn't work with 4.4.2. At least, I haven't figured out how.

When i play audio via TuneIn Radio pro, it works perfectly. Sound bass everything is very thorough.
When i play my audio files (that range from 128 to 512kbps in quality) the volume is always lower (including bass) without me adjusting anything.
I am using poweramp pro + Viper4Android FX
any suggestions?

Does it happen with other audio players?
That's a clean install. What did you use as far as creating the bezel? Or did it just fit? Almost did this in my vehicle but the required fiberglass work was a little much for me, haha. What did you do for the hardware buttons?
