OK so here is what I have and where I am at. N7100 of course, and was running Omega v11. Decided to try stock ROM for giggles. D/L stock from repository. Tried flashing with ODIN Mobile to no avail. ODIN got stuck before it rebooted in recovery. So I turned it off and back on again decided to try to flash the stock ROM with CWM (yea I know now that was dumb). Anyway, gets stuck on Logo screen and will not boot in recovery. It WILL boot in Down Load mode. NOW here is where it starts to suck. I have a Mac and a Linux machine. Downloaded Kies for Mac, and plugged in N7100 in Down Load mode, Kies keeps spinning the thing and says connecting, but it never does OK so I D/L Heimdall for Linux, set it up and plug it in, it comes back and says it cant find any partions.... Zero partions found. I killed it for good didn't I? So what are my options here?
Oh and in D/L Mode this is what it says

As a last resort you might want to try this, which should also work with Note II.

I am no expert but here is what I would do:
Use Odin (desktop version, I know you are not running windows but I saw videos of Adam Outler using Odin from a windows virtual machine under Linux just fine) to flash a tar image with the PIT file. Now PIT stands for partition information table and that what seems to be the problem according to Heimdall.
Again I'm no expert.
Try to use window desktop and flash stock rom thru odin again. If should be fine.
Good luck mate

I downloaded a stock ROM from a post here and used ODIN to flash it. Everything seemed fine in ODIN, said it passed, etc, rebooted. But then it kept booting. I see the Samsung logo, then the T-Mo logo. I've tried to get back into download mode, but when I do it either shows the battery charging or the infinite boot.
Any ideas..?
I downloaded 4.1.1 from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102380
Extracted, used the tar.md5 in PDA, had Auto Reboot and F.reset checked.

Thanks.
I got into Download mode, but when I try to flash ROMs, ODIN gets caught up on "SetupConnection"
I got it to install the ROM, but it's stuck at the glowing Samsung boot screen. It's moving, so it's not frozen. ODIN said PASS, succeed 1 / failed 0.

Maybe you have to wait a little longer? Is your phone tmoble t889? I thought flashing office rom will fix the issue.
By the way can you get into recovery? If you can try to factory reset it?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
[Q] flashed stock image using ODIN, stuck at boot at "Samsung". assistance requested
My wife's phone T989 stopped working during the week previously running one of the custom ROMs for Jedi Mind Trick. Unable to put or enter custom recovery i have restarted the phone to put into download mode, run Odin 3.07 and flashed factory stock image for the phone. Odin recognizes the phone, and completes the flash successfully. phone reboots but always stuck at samsung screen (just the letters, not the animation). the previous ways to get phone into download mode (power + volume buttons do not work), however, i can get it into download mode but doing volume and usb connection on power up. Odin still sees the phone fine and allows me to reflash factory image.
Any hints of where to look at next? is locating proper PIT file my next setp?
Thank you for your help
if it helps, here is what I see in the download mode

Thank you. no luck so far. I used ODIN 1.85 to flush stock image. everything worked without error, phone restart and is stuck at the same Samsung screen it was stuck before (waited for 1.5 hours to confirm).
The image i am trying to flush T989UVLE1_T989TMBLE1_T989UVLE1_HOME.tar.md5
My next attempt would be to flash T989UVMC6_T989TMB_T989UVMC6_HOME.tar.md5 images.
Any other thoughts?
Got it to work
If it would help anyone - used ODIN 3.07 and T989UVMC6_T989TMB_T989UVMC6_HOME.tar.md5 , flashed but did not wait for the phone to finish reboot. entered recovery, flashed system data to remove boot loop and got the phone to finish booting.
Thanks to all who helped!
i am running jelly bomb with cwrm 6.0.03 i went to switch roms so did a factory reset it froze then when i went to restart the phone it will go oto crwm logo then immediately restart the phone so i cant use recovery is there a way to unbrick this or am i screwed
Ummm simply plug your phone yo PC, on Odin , and install a new recovery .. TWRP recommended.. And recovery should work after that..
Note: make sure download mode works so you can use Odin and install the pit file.

I played around and got to recovery mode should be good now thanks alot
Hey guys, having some issues with my new GT-I9195I LTE and was hoping someone might be able to help. The phone was running Android 4.4.4 Touch Wiz and had way too much bloat ware so I wanted to get a different rom on there. I followed a guide on rooting using CWM and Odin3 so I did that but as the phone rebooted I missed pressing vol up, home and power and it rebooted into the stock OS. After that I powered off and tried to boot back into recovery but it now just says "Could not do normal boot" in red at the top, and shows the "Downloading..." screen. After that I tried a bunch of different things such as TWRP which made no difference, and even flashing a stock rom I got from SamMobile but Odin fails to flash the stock rom with a FAIL (Auth) message. After all that, it's basically stuck in a boot loop. I can however get it to download mode (vol down, home and power) and use Odin to flash it but they don't seem to make a difference.
Can anyone help guide me through this and back to a working device?
For info, the download screen says the following at the top:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9195I
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
REACTIVATION LOCK(KK): OFF
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, H1, R1, A1, P1
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
Thanks guys.

I guess so! Though perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I don't seem to have a working recovery mode? The weird thing is I didn't get an error from Odin when flashing either of those, yet it didn't seem to make any difference.
Any ideas on what else I could try?

Got a UK rom from sammobile but when I try to flash it complains that "repartition failed" which is strange as I haven't added a PIT file and the Repartition box in Odin is unchecked. That made me think I must have screwed up the partition table.
So I got a PIT file from here and tried flashing that, but this also fails with Odin saying "Re-Partition operation failed" and on the phone it says "SECURE CHECK FAIL : PIT". :s
Any ideas?

BOOM! It worked! Actually the problem in the end was down to my own carelessness. I had initially downloaded a rom from sammobile that was a GT-I9195 *NOT* GT-I9195I - big difference! I guess all those errors in Odin weretrying to tell me the rom I'm trying to flash is not for my device! Anyways, when I downloaded the GT-I9195I stock UK O2 network rom and flashed it with Odin it worked perfectly, I didn't even need to get into restore mode to clear cache. It booted straight into Android and then I did a factory reset. Now, I have a much slicker faster phone, thank you so much for your help Davidich!
If anyone else has similar problems then I implore them to double and triple check that the ROM they are trying to flash is indeed for their specific device. It's not exactly clear when you're downloading random roms from forums, but sammobile is clear at least when downloading stock roms.

reflash stock rom using odin
Odin always give a pit error when I try and flash
4.1.1 firmware ?
Reflash stock firmware via Odin or kies....sounds like a corrupted partition...
Also possible that the emmc is bad...
Try reflash of the rom first...
Kies works also...but you "will" lose data not already on the SD card....g
I tried kies, it just says connecting.. but never connects. When I boot my wifes note 4 into download mode it will have some red text in the top left corner. The note 2 doesn't have anything other than downloading on the screen

try with PIT in Odin
Tried adding a pit file and the stock tar file. I then got a repartition error. I can Google and find other people who have had the same problem in the past but no one seemed to ever figure out how to resolve the issue.
