[HEIMDALL] [One-Click Restore] MA4 4.1.2 Stock Rooted/Unrooted - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I have two versions and they all come with TWRP recovery(also superior imo)
if someone wants a full stock/wo root let me know but I created these to make it easy to flash other roms.
Or if you just want Heimdall files tars let me know.

Okay, so I am coming from an HTC phone where you would flash this (*.img) in Hboot. As this is my first Samsung phone, how do I flash this recovery?
Thanks, in advance.
Same issue here. How do we go about flashing this onto the phone? - Im assuming this is done through ODIN (Using the "Flash" Boot Option) - or am I wrong? Also, the new Recovery is not showing up in CWM APP.

[KERNEL] SGH-T989 UVKID // Insecure

SGH-T989 UVKID // Insecure
What does insecure mean?
By default, Samsung and T-Mobile have choosen to lock down the stock kernel on there Galaxy S II variant, but with this kernel you can reverse that affect.
Features
Code:
#
# ADDITIONAL_DEFAULT_PROPERTIES
#
ro.secure=0
ro.allow.mock.location=0
ro.debuggable=1
persist.service.adb.enable=1
Once you flash this you will also gain the ability to root with Super One Click avoiding the flashing of ClockworkMod Recovery if that isn't what you want to do.
How does this benefit developers and themers?
With this modded kernel, developers, themers, and modders alike can all push to /system without having to boot into recovery meaning more time to test and less time spent rebooting.
Downloads
You can reference the second post on how to flash the kernel itself, but you can grab it from here.
This kernel was compiled with the fixed source, with a modded stock initramfs that insecured the kernel. The compression type is LZMA.
If you like my work..
and wish to donate you can buy me my very own T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II by using the details posted here.
How to Flash
We are going to be using Odin in this explanation to flash the stock kernel to your phone.
Downloads
First you are going to want to start by downloading all the needed files onto your computer and then place them onto your Desktop.
Samsung Kies
Odin3-v1.85.zip
SGH-T989-UVKID-Insecure.tar
Process
Once you have everything downloaded and on your desktop, you are going to want to first install kies.
After this is done you should restart your computer for proper driver installation.
Next, extract Odin to a new folder on your Desktop. Leave the tar in the form it is.
Now, open up Odin by double clicking the .exe in the folder you extracted it to.
The most important step is now, you need to put your device into Download/ODIN mode so your computer will recognize it and be able to flash to it. To do this simply turn your phone off completely (or pull the battery). Then you are going to want to use the following button combination to force your device into download mode:
Hold the volume up/down and power button all at the same time.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Now ODIN should have recognized your device ( it may take a while for the drivers to complete installation so don't panic the first time).
Lastly, we want to click on the PDA button and then search for the SGH-T989-UVKID-Insecure.tar we download earlier and placed on the Desktop.
If all of the above has taken place you are free to hit the Start button.
Done!
If all has gone well at this point the flash should be proven successful and your phone should reboot like normal.
If so, please feel pressured to give yourself a pat on the back, that was tough!
Thank you kindly my good sir

Seeking stock zip for t989 flashable through CWM ( I lost DL mode)

I am having a lot of trouble with an issue I have seen some other t989 users encounter. My pc will not recognize my phone....and Im not able to get into download mode. Right now Im running Miui 2.6.8 because its all I could push through CWM. If anyone knows of a stock zip I can save on to my sd and install through CWM that would be great. I can charge my phone just fine. But I cant find a computer to recognize it...nothing has worked. AND I CANT GET DOWNLOAD MODE to odin the stock roms available. If anyone has any advice about that, it would also be helpful.

you formatted the system partition.
i assume you formatted your SD card. so you have 2 choices
1) you download whatever custom rom you want on your pc and use: adb push locationofrom /data/media/
2) you use fastboot to restore to stock.

adding to that, adb only works in recovery. from fastboot, restart recovery, push a rom, flash it. no need to reflash stock images in this situation, imo.

- PC doesn't see it, but pc makes a sound when I plug it in, and drivers attempt to install when I plug in to pc (fail)
