Hi guys, i have a problem:
I last installed successfuly CM 7.2, cwm backed it up and havent changed it in a long time... Now i tried recently, within half a year to install various other roms but allways ended in a bootloop. All have installed ok, but all end the same. I can restore cwm backup w/o problem, but cant install any rom so far.
I tried so many combinations of wipes, from the most common data/cache/dalvik then also including mounts & storage wipes, flashing cwm 5...
I have wildfire 2.3.7 atm, cm7.2 stable, gps doesnt work(cm7.2 issue). Memory card is not partitioned, but i have it custom std on 130/15, maybe thats the issue...?
Also kernel is 3.0.0.6. If i flash it to 5+, it allways comes back to 3.0.0.6 later. Tried flashing to 5+ and then repeating install process, but no effect.
I can allways come back to cwm backup latest image that works flawllesly, but cant install any rom and go past bootloop. Tried many:
AOKP_[ROM][4.0.4]_Ultra_Smooth_Aokp_Milestone_6_v1.0
aokp_buzz_milestone-6-remake
CM_9.1_v3_noaroma
LiGuxICSbuzz_v5

MIUI.us_Buzz_2.9.21_signed_sted
PARANOIDANDROID-1.5-V3-Buzz-Elia222
Xperia_Lovin_Ice_Cream_V1.1
CM 7.2 stable build date Fri Jun 15 2012

kernel is 2.6.35.14-nFinity [email protected] #1
baseband version 13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10
hboot is 6.01.1002
radio is 3.35.20.10
custom std on 130/15
Tried and read som threads here, but nothing so far, what am i missing? Please help.
Odp: [Q] Infinite bootloop with all Roms
Firstly, try to delete mtd. Secondly install sense rom like rem puzzle. It is compatibile with cwm 3 so should work. Before installing make ext partition. If it won't help then try to make s-on and flash ruu and you will get not rooted phone with stock rom.
Sent from JokerDroid 4.3 (;
The problem is custom mtd. Your partition space is too low for most roms.
Secondly, gps issue is related to radio. Reflash the radio and it will work.

First thx for the quick replies to both.
Delete mtd, is it enough just to delete mtd.txt and bravo.zips, or i need to do smtn else as well?
Is any of the roms i mentioned sense based? I dont want to unroot phone, if at all avoidable. Ill try doing what i described and installing rempuzzle.

Just flash a stock recovery as mentioned by GlennBrownie, format the 3 partitions and flash the rom you want. For rempuzzle, ext partition is a must.

Well, managed to flash stock, root&unlock again. rempuzzle didnt work for me. but now i can finaly flash some roms! Thx guys!
Now another q: i can flash & boot some ics roms as well as gb, but on all ics i got a bug where i cant import .vcf files through go contacts.
Examples are:
aokp_buzz_milestone-6-remake
Xperia_Lovin_Ice_Cream_V1.1
AOKP Light
and few others. No such problems on KoolSony-HD V2.1 and probably other gb roms. Is it solvable? I would LOVE to use ics roms, but wont give up go contacts, cant settle for any other app. I CAN import vcf through people system app, but it would be painful to do it every time, as i frequently backup and restore contacts.
Staying on KoolSony-HD V2.1 till then, or till someone makes bugless ics rom. If you guys dont have any solution of course?
EDIT: solved, just installed Go Contacts Ex, the roms were ok after all. But another q, why is there no option for choosing input methok(keyboard) in ics? it was there in gb?

The easiest way of managing contacts is to sync it with google. That way everytime you install a new rom and add your google account, it will automatically sync your contacts.

Input method can be changed with long pressing text field.
You have to write something for these options to appear. Never tried Aokp light though.

To change input method, just click on empty text box,let the keyboard appear and then pull the statusbar down. There you'll see an option to change input method.
And when you long press a text box,all those options do appear. There are symbols instead of text.See upper part of the screen once you long press it.

I tried Runnymede AIO from sebastian15, but always I flash this ROM it freezes after few minutes from boot then I have to take out battery. After that phone boots normally and after few minutes freezes again. I've tried to flash different versions (5.0.4; 6.0.5; 6.5) of this rom on different hboots (CM7/r2 and then stock)
and via various recoveries (cwm and 4ext classic and touch), tried many combination of options in Aroma Installer but without any result.
I would like to change my rom for a while (juts got bored with cm7) and few weeks ago this rom was working right.
Thanks a lot for any help.
I suppose it freezes before you restored any apps and/or settings, right?
In this case, my first thought is there might be something with your SD card.
Maybe try to repartion it or try a different one?
Are you using the A2SDX version or the generic?
Because if you use the first one, let the rom settle (only set up basics screen) the reboot before doing anything.
This way it worked for me.

i used the rom also for some time and was very happy with it, if u fallow the instructions from first page must work. make sure your partitions are formatted as suppose to be, and be careful when restore applications, especially with Titanium Backup, restore only user applications, do not overwrite system applications.
version 6.0.4 and 6.0.5 i found them very stable releases and great rom.
sebastian have some very good tutorials with all steps of instalation, if you fallow it suppose to be ok. do not forget to format all partitions excepts fat32 one before you install.
good luck and give us some feedback
Thanks for answers I'll try repertition my SD card.
P. S. I've tried generic a2sd and ad2sdx as well. And i hadn't done any changes (restoring apps, adding new accounts etc.).
Sounds like the ROM file you've downloaded is corrupt. Do you check MD5sum?
i've checked md5 sum ofc and repartitioning sd card didn't help so I'm waiting for stable cm9 or maybe some rom based on ics with sense. Anyway thanks for trying to help me. I won't download AIO.

You can try [ROM][20.02.12][★★ SMS ★★ ] by ★ RSK TEAM ★ with AMAZE CAM [v.5.0][CM7R2][STOCK]
It is a sense 3.5 same as sebastian one, very fast and stable, i use it since 3 days and i love it.
I use a hboot with a generic a2sd, rom is not that big and remain with 100+ mb internal memory.

Bad question, maybe, but did you do a full wipe?
I tried the rom, worked for me but i wasn't satisfied with speed. Try RSK team rom mentioned in previous post, I'm using it having no problems (but use generic a2sd and don't try fix wallpaper view in panel mode you will get more trouble than you can compensate with the view).
You can also try Cool 3D Runnymede, but you will have to flash RC tweaks separately.
Yup full wipe is necessary and I know it. Thanks [ROM][20.02.12][★★ SMS ★★ ] by ★ RSK TEAM ★ with AMAZE CAM [v.5.0][CM7R2][STOCK] works good.

What OP wrote applies to me as well. I am looking for something better than aerovan's CM9 (which has been my DD), and thought I would give Viper a try. Without fail, bootlooping (which I could have guessed since I did tacoroot and this seems to be an issue with sense based roms).
That said, I tried steps 1 through 4 and the bootlooping stopped in Viper - it goes through startup and just shuts down before leaving the boot screen. One strange thing that I noticed is that the ICS Firmware/radio with Viper (which I loaded in CWM), wouldn't load in 4ext. Maybe I'll give paranoid a go if I can't resolve this bootlooping issue in Viper! I hope OP has better luck.

I'm not as knowledgeable as Chilly, but a thought did occur to me. if the cm9 rom included a kernel on the flash and then you went to a sense based rom that didn't include a kernel that could cause a problem. I believe that I read that cm using a kernel that is asop based while sense roms use a different based kernel. You may check to see what kernel you have and then check for the recomended kernel for that rom and flash that kernel. don't forget to wipe.

All of the roms come with a kernel for our phone, but certainly, don't flash a sense kernel with aosp or vice versa after rom flash. Chilly is right. Flashing a newer radio should fix the problem and the radio is flashed with a PG32IMG.zip in the bootloader, not in the recovery.

Good call. When chilly said you don't flash kernels in recovery I hit my head. I flashed the radio, but now my challenge is getting back into recovery since I renamed the file and bootloader always finds it and wants to reboot or I load CM9 which stays on flash screen. I'll figure something out, maybe with adb. Thanks.
Power down, pop the sd out, boot to recovery, rename file, profit.

i made a stupid mistake of flashing radio in recovery, in fact the radio is for Samsung at&t and now my phone vibrates it doesnt show htc quietly brilliant, only vibrates and orange light with black screen untill i pull out the battery... i was able to return to stuck and it can only boot if its connected to power, it doesn't read sd card while android is booted and in recovery to, only in bootloader it reads sd... error in mounting if i try to... i flashed RUU.exe 2.3.3 and 2 other RUUs for my droid inc 2 but it keeps vibrating... please help me!!! thanks
I made the same mistake when i first gained s-off for my dinc2. the thing with the venom rom tho is if you ever want to go back to aosp ull need to gets chill's anti-venom zip and flash it through recovery because doing a normal wipe wont do the trick. also a helpful trick that worked for me with roms if i ever start getting boot loops i go into recovery from the bootloader menu and i wipe the dalvik cache under advanced and then wipe the chache under mounts and storage and it always works like a charm for me. but ive also learned that you have to be careful which kernel you flash with the rom of your choice because not only will it cause lags if you happen to get past the boot animation to the main screen but in some cases it can cause breaks in your framework like your wifi data etc. im not an expert tho those are just suggestions that im familiar with because theyve already happened to me before. hope this helps in any way.
I've flashed 3-4 ROMs on my Dinc2. (Magnolia, IC Tazz, Skyraider, ViperINC). I've done the wipe cache/davlik/format before each flash. After testing each ROM, I decided on Magnolia, and did a full superduperwipe via Chillybean's AntiVenom. With each ROM flash I've noticed things being different and outright missing. For example, YouTube may or may not be there after flash.
Is this normal? I've tried formatting with ext3 and ext4, noticing no speed or function different... but could this have something to do with it?
I'm still sorta new at this flashing thing. If there's something I'm missing or doing wrong, I'm open to ALL suggestions.
My phone is a Verizon Dinc2, radio is 320, and my recovery is 4EXT.

Some Deva just won't put it in their Roms. Most the apps just need to be redowbliaded from the market.
Sent from a phone HTC forgot. Right now its running Chilly powered PAC n a lil NOS jus for fun.

Then you probably aren't doing a full wipe, assuming the rom isn't an aroma installed rom and you choose different features.
yes, they are Aroma installed, using EXT4 as my recovery. I'm talking about (specifically) Magnolia and ViperINC. I've noticed different apps being loaded with each flash. I use Chilly's AntiVenom wiper, then let the ROM do another wipe of it's own choosing. It's just weird, I thought I'd ask if anyone else ever had the same experience.
...
*facepalm

Hi Friend,
Best way to overcome this is to install Titanium Backup from play store and take a full backup of your apps+data and you can restore the same after flashing new rom.
Regarding youtube you can flash GAPPS from this link goo.im/gapps (install according to your android version)

Greetings,
This is a bit cliché question but i've Google literally everywhere and tried every tutorial available.
What I want: I want to backup my Galaxy W's stock ROM so I can instal custom ROM's a know that I can return to the stock rom in case I screw something or if anything goes wrong.
I've tried.
Rom Manager with cwm recovery - I get an error in recovery mode that tells me to check the log. When I do the log is empty. If I attempt to restore the ROM it says that it's missing an MD5 file.
Online nandroid - it runs sucefully but I cannot find and restore the backup afterwards.
Other backup apps I've tried just backed up my apps or contacts and they've done so sucessfully.
The question is, can someone help me finding a good and reliable way to backup my ROM so I can return to the stock gingerbread in case the ICS paranoid android does (or goes) wrong?
thanks in advance

First flash cwm recovery with odin then you can back up your stock rom
thank you but...
well... at least you're pointing me in the right direction.
I'll try looking for some tutorials to back up through Odin. Thing is, I have a mac. I hope that doesn't get in the way.
Could you point me out for some tutorials please?
EDIT: I would prefer to avoid using Odin. the process seems really dangerous.
EDIT 2: I noticed my memory in the android is full. It means that nandroid online DID backup, apparently sucessfully. All I need is to find it and test it.
Assuming it will restore my system to the way it is I can finally get to try some paranoid android mods.
Also, has an alternative. Do you think I could simply lookup and download the official stock rom and, in case something goes wrong, simply reinstall it?

The thing is... I barely know what Odin is. From what I saw on google I can't even run that on Mac (I have another pc with Windows just in case).
And I'm not even sure what links to follow if the Rom recovery (I just want to do a backup) or the clockwork mod...
Wouldn't it be easier if I just downloaded the official ROM and used that one has my backup?
u can use dd shell instead of odin just search how to use it , for stock rom thats flashable through cwm recovery then i guess ull find one thats XXLM8 based in the forum or u can build one urself using ur windows pc and dsixda's kitchen (but it will take u some time to install the kitchen and know how to use it), for nandroid backups 3 things are recommended : 1- free space on either internal or external sdcard 2- root access to make sure everything is ok (at least thats my opinion) 3- either CWM or TWRP recoveries
my advice is to backup the EFS folder which is much more important than the rom itself (ull find a thread on how to backup & restore it) and also ull find that ull depend on ICS & JB based roms in the future that ull rarely go back to stock
I tried to backup to SD card through the clockworkmod in recovery mode and it worked.
I tried to restore it and it restored my system... I think. To the same state.
Now I'm having a different problem. I have instaled cyanogen mod paranoid android, but unfortunately the phone get's stuck in the boot animation with the scrolling android eyes.
Can anyone please help me.
PS: I had to ultimately put the backup to the test. The custom Rom was not working at all! here is the link to the rom, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1753065
Luckly the backup worked and restored my stock ROM putting everything back in place. *phew*
The question remains... where can I find a good ROM with paranoid android for my galaxy W?
Have you wiped /system & /data & /cache before installing the paranoid ??
for paranoid u can check newer paranoid roms cuz this one seems abit old, also check pacman roms cuz i guess they're usually built on paranoid
I (wrongly) assumed that an older rom would mean a more stable one. But here's to topics I would like to clear.
here's what I did all in clockwork mod:
.cleaned cache
.cleaned Dalvik cache
.fixed permitions
.installed the ROM
.installed GAPPS right afterwards
.reboot
1. Is there a COMPLETELY stable ROM for Galaxy W with ICS or Jelly Bean?
2. Where can I find updated ROMs of paranoid android or this packman you mentioned? I have a hard time finding thrustworthy ROM's and even more checking reviews and comments to make sure it works or what sort of problems people have with them.
Thank you once again, my Galaxy Wonder is doing fine. I'm back to the original ROM and I haven't lost anything (that I noticed). I have 2 backups on my SD card that are taking up 2GB of space but I'm too scared to move them to my PC, afraid that they won't work after I move them.
you shall wipe /data & /system (this will wipe all ur apps, contacts & sms but its an essential step as ur shifting from GB to ICS or JB)
this pacman (cm10.1 based) has hybrid properties and is the most updated so far : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2218224
If you want stability. I recommend CM9 RC 9

ouch... So I have a couple of questions.
1. Did the backup really restore everything or just part of it, and the messages and whatnot were kept because I never wiped the system and apps
I was using a cm9 clockwork recovery mode... I think.
2. What is cm9 and cm10?
2.1 does this have to do with the Kernel?
2.2 Is the Kernel updatable? And if so are there any updates for Wonder?
3. what does "GO PRISTINE WAY" mean?
Just so we're clear on the number one. Fact check me if I'm wrong but I think that the Wonder has a default recovery mode and what I did by installing the clockwork recovery was override that recovery mode with one made by other people (read unoficially). In that light I believe there would be updates to this clockwork recovery mode, the question is, are they worth installing? Usually earlier versions can be more stable, not sure if this applies here.
Through this clockwork recovery I went to the options in backup/restore and selected "backup to SD external card" which create a folder in my external SD card. And the (million dollar) question here is, what did I exactly backup? Everything? Just the ROM? Just apps?
Once again thanks for help. I'm getting a mix of interest and fear out of this ROM business. I like the features in paranoid android (like phablet mode), but I am also equally scared of bricking my phone and having to go back to my really really old Blackberry.

Ans to Q1:
The clockwork recovery backups almost everything (except boot loader if i remembered correctly?) , including hut not only the 'system' partition where the rom's file are put and 'data' where your changes to the system(changes excluding “root” ones) are saved
Advice: apps backedup(data partition) using the recovery only works on the same rom or those of the same 'base', use titanium backup the apps is safer, note that there migt be problem if you restore data on a different android version(for example using titanium backup to backup apps on an android 2.3 system and restore them on android 4.2 system might not work) try use the backup/restore opion in the app if availible.

there's actually a 4th question.
4 - with a new rom, I will also be installing a new version of Gapps right? Does that mean that apps that couldn't be installed on my phone will now be available? Like the Chrome navigator or the new game Kingdom Rush.
ok lets start answering all questions in order
1. making a backup using CWM recovery (we name it nandroid backup) will backup ur a)system (it has the base files of the rom that will stay the same even if u make a factory reset, but surely thr content data will b deleted), b)cache, c)data (data means the apps and their data not the media that r stored on sdcard "a nandroid backup will not restore the images of a whats app conversation if the whats app folder is deleted from ur sdcard") d)kernel (named boot.img) & e)recovery (which is the same recovery itself u used to make the backup) ..... nandroid backup will not backup boot loader (which u dont have to worry about cuz u wont b able to solve it urself) and EFS folder (which u surely have to worry about cuz its easily backupable and restored if anythn happens to it)
2. cm9 is ICS 4.0.x .... cm10 is JB 4.1.x .... cm10.1 is JB 4.2.x .... stock rom for our wonder is GB 2.3.6 ............. All of them r different bases for android and to change between them its always preferable to make a full wipe not to have conflicts like boot loops or apps force close
2.1 each base has its kernel even if it has the same version number (i.e. same processing manner) cuz it shall be modified for each base to work on it properly
2.2 yes kernels r updatable for each base (u can c an example if u go to arco's cm threads and c the changelog)
3. go pristine is a term introduced by a great xda member here called pepoluan and it means full wipe of the phone to make sure u have a clean install of whatever u want (thrs a thread in general section for how to go pristine)
4. Gapps (aka Google apps) depend on which base u r , u can't install JB gapps for ICS , some of the apps that the gapps zip contains are updatable while some of them cant be updated (e.g. the newest google search cant b updated to ICS so ull have to stick with what the ICS gapps provided u) and finally u can c how the gapps are classified in this simple link http://goo.im/gapps
Any further question ??
---------- Post added at 11:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:25 AM ----------
Ah , about the stability, so far here all the bases are quite stable but if ur looking for the most stable then try cm9 based roms
the more updates the base gets (cm9 has the most updates so far) the more stable it gets cuz they fix the bugs of the older versions and u can check that from the changelog of every rom, so never think about staying on an older rom if thrs a newer more stable version of it
Actually yes, I hope I'm not pushing my luck here, but every time I dig a little deeper into the Android OS I find new and complicated tutorials and questions. At first I just thought it was as simple as downloading Titanium backup and them installing new ROM's.
Then I find out that backing up the OS ins't as simple as that. THEN there are other "smalls things" that actually turn up rather complicated.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but from what I understand. Certain apps, like Kingdom Rush aren't available on my Wonder because the GAPPs version doesn't allow it. If I were to install a JB rom for example, then it would probably allow that game to be installed, because it would require a new version of GAPPs.
1. So assuming I don't mind about reinstalling the apps (but I have those backed up anyway), I also backed up my contacts, messages and call logs. Added to a nandroid backup should be enough to guarantee that I can go back to my first version, in case something goes wrong?
(that and the EFS which I will have to look into later)
1.1 - should I update my clockwork mod first? I'm not sure which version I have, but should I expect it to have a big impact on the process?
2. The android inner phone memory is split in two correct? One of the partition is called SD card and is usually in the path /mnt/SDcard or similar.
If I do this "going pristine" and clean up everything, will I have to remake the partitions?
2.1 I also have an external SD card. A full factory wipe (which I assume is the same as to say "go pristine") won't affect it correct? (either I'm removing it during the process (just in case))
I just hate in the phone lags and freezes. But I also suck at typing on a touchscreen so I really need Swiftkey, I even bought the app and it works nicely, but it is a little heavy and I notice the phone takes a few seconds to load it. I also need Dolphin browser because of the browser syncing feature (so I can see the tabs from chrome there).
Is the Pacman rom you recomended earlier fluid? Or should I expect it to be laggy with these slightly heavy apps?
thanks for the help so far
First about kingdom rush , it's not because of the Gapps version, it's because of the base of the rom itself ( whether ICS or JB) which defines everything later on like wt kernel it should use or which gapps to flash or what apps can't be downloaded from playstore due to android version incompatiblity with the app
now to the questions
1. yes it should be enough
1.1 it's preferable but not a must , there will be an impact but not that big
2. a hazy question , sounds like a bunch of questions all together , but lets try answering it (them) , there are alot of partitions but let's focus on just two for now : a) /data which is 1.07 GB and the apps installed and have their data stored on it .... b) /mnt/sdcard or similar names which is 1.7 GB and stores your media in addition to some data of the apps (mostly media data like images of viber or whatsapp) , to go pristine is to format this partition as well which as i told u b4 don't get backed up during the process so ull have to copy its folders & files urself to an external sdcard or to ur pc ....... u won't have to remake any partitions , just click format on the desired partition while ur in the recovery and it will be wiped and reformatted automatically
2.1 actually it depends on whether u click format external_sdcard or not , but i usually remove it b4 i do any format to make sure its safe and if i wanna format it then i do it on pc after making a copy of it on my pc
for a keyboard u can try Kii keyboard, it seems good to me
ive never tried pacman so u shall be the one to tell me how it work's for u

1 & 1.1 - I feel more at ease now
2 I kinda figured that there were more partitions(by messing with cmw) but I found it odd that there were so many partitions. I guess that explains that.
I use a file explored and I'm a bit OCD'ish about where I keep my stuff, so all of media is mostly in SD card and probably backed up more times than I'd like.
If some apps may be incompatible and it's best not to restore the data from apps since it's a new ROM and may cause incompatibility I might as well just install them from scratch, at least that way I can rid of those apps I never really used but I didn't want to delete (you know, like Shazam, I rarely use it, but I want it around just in case)
My only last question seems to already be answered (which was how to repartition the phone memories). So you're saying that by doing the factory reset the partitions will not be affected (let me rephrase that, the data inside the partitions is going to be deleted but the partitions themselves will stay)?
So at this point all I need to do is go to recovery mode, select factory reset for each of the partitions, clearing them one by one, then clear cache, dalvik cache and then select "install rom from external SD card" and after that just hit "fix permissions", a reboot and I'd be good to go?
PS: I'm going to try Kii keyboard. But I feel kinda bad not using Swiftkey since I already payed for it and all... that's what you get for buying apps XD (fyi I know, or at least I'm pretty sure, I can reinstall swiftkey again at any time and continue with the paid version)
Maybe I should go back to the alphanumeric keyboards... bigger buttons pressed more times... not the best but... I miss my blackberry keyboard, I typed in that thing like a lightning.
(let me rephrase that, the data inside the partitions is going to be deleted but the partitions themselves will stay)? YES, all data will be wiped but partitions stay the same
At CWM recovery , go to advanced, clear dalvike, then back to main menu select mount and format , go thr and format the desired partitions, then back again and select install update or zip or blablah (i cant remember) , choose the location wr ur rom zip is then select it , fix permissions isnt done unless instructed by the rom dev or if u face bootloops or FC after flashing the rom
(fyi I know, or at least I'm pretty sure, I can reinstall swiftkey again at any time and continue with the paid version) lol man, u seem to b funny
alphanumeric buttons have only ONE advantage which is " u can type without looking at the screen even wn ur crossing the street "

I assume the desired partions would be all, in my case since I'm going pristine. I'm going to try this later this weekend. And walking in the street and tryping without looking (which even that I don't think I can do) would be a great asset, since when facing direct light you can barely see anything on the Wonder's screen. I wish the glass was anti reflexion.
Hi guys,
I have a wildfire with hboot-6.01.1002 S-off and radio 3.35.20.10.
I had the gps bug, so I tried all the ways to fix it but without success. So I tried to reflash radio and just trying to flash older versions I found out that the radio doesn't get flashed.
I tried laptop method too but with win8 is impossible for my wildfire to get recognized and all the tricks seen on internet or on this forum don't work.
Ooops I forgot to say that from RomManager I downgrade to cwm 2.x, then I reboot the phone, but in recovery I see again cwm 5.x, so everytime I install from there the 2.x version and I flash radio, but at system reboot I find 3.35.20.10 radio again.
Could you help me pls?
ps. sorry for my bad english.

You can try to use a temporary 2.x flashable cwm zip file and flash it after a cwm recovery reboot: I have cwm 6 installed and reflashing the radio in this way I usually fix GPS and WiFi problems (I have to do it once or twice every time after I install a new ROM).

Hi, could you explain me the procedure?
Where do I find a temporary cwm?
--- do you mean install a cwm 2.x in recovery mode? It doesn't work, I wrote it in the first post too.
mate, you don't have to flash a new radio to fix the GPS issue.
Here's what I do,
#Turn GPS on in your current ROM, and wait for a stable location fix,
#while GPS is still on, power off the phone.
#Now boot into recovery and flash your new ROM
#now after flashing and booting into your new ROM you'll be able to use GPS again.
You'll have to do this everytime you flash a new gingerbread ROM or above..
if your current ROM doesn't have working GPS, just flash Sense ROM, the GPS will work. then do as I said.
I always though flashing radio's are a little risky, as this is a risk free method, I think everyone should use this instead..
cheers ...

Every time I try a sense rom at installing point I lose screen, just some colored strips, do you remember 80 cabinet game before loading? if yes ... those ones
But that's really strange that i'm not able to flash radio anyway.

I'm guessing you're referring to RemPuzzle ROM which has Aroma installer.
yea Aroma installer does that on cwm5.
only way to fix that is to revert to CWM4 permanent ( untill you decide to go back to a higher cwm version.)
anyway try another sense ROM, like DK's custom ROM or similar ..
cheers..
I was just reading about DK roms, it has to be installed using a temporary cwm.
Just a curiosity: all newer roms are cyano based?

Yes, most gingerbread and up roms are usually bases on CM.
About the temporary cwm. Just flash it as a normal zip and you'd get temporary cwm2.5 , flash DK with that, after reboot you'll be back on your current cwm version.

Just a thing, I flash a sense rom, after that I wait gps fix and then I install cyano rom. But without wipe or format?
I ask that cause before I use Mtd partition procedure to have more free space, and without any format and wipe I can't do that.

No no... just wipe everything. And also the Dalvik cache. Then install the new ROM. After rebooting to your new ROM GPS would work.

Ehm .. dkmod roms failed to install cause "installation aborted", 4.6.2 and 4.7.
I tried joyOs but gps doesn't start. With Rempuzzle I have screen problems.
It seems I have to forget gps.
Flashing a radio requires at least 30mb on cache, so make sure you aren't using a custom mtd setup.
If its not the case, try flashing a 2.x permanent recovery and then flash the radio.

if yes, there is an additional zip file to flash after flashing a new ROM.

If you have followed all the steps.correctly for custom mtd partitioning, it should work.
If it still fails, try link2sd, its an app. It moves apps to a separate partion in SDcard and saves internal storage.
But you have to partion your SDcard for that.
I suggest you should recheck if you followed all the steps correctly for mtd partioning. And remember to flash the bravo-boot.zip ( I don't remember the exact name) after flashing a ROM..

I'm sure I followed all the steps, but I'm gonna try again.
Further jellybread is now on (without mtd) but without gapps too and they're integrated in the rom.
