Just curious to see what voltage settings people were using in conjunction with joker's kernel. Screen shots? Post? Whatever. I'm interested!

I'm -50 undervolt a running good. No random reboots or anything. Even played Dead Trigger for an hour and all good. I am also running at 1.62 overclock. All is good.

Running 25 under and still good. I'll probably overclock it to get better performance.

I assume you are -50 on just the highest clock setting?

No -50 on all clock speeds. I use faux123 from the market. I was running -25 then just bumped it down some more. Might try -75 soon.

Now I am not blaming the app I am just wondering... everynow and then, when I wake my phone up, it doesn't want to wake up or when I turn it on and try to unlock it freezes... was wondering if anyone else was getting the same thing.

SetCPU issues
I have been having the same issues myself. Mine was set low to 100min/max: screen off just as a test today and it did that to me a on a few seperate occasions. Not sure why, just ended up battery pulling after 10-15 seconds of no response from the phone.
The cpu is set too low on screen off, go for 245 or so
setcpu does not play nice with r phones. i had problems witth it on every kernal i played with. right now im using the mix up kernal. i used setcpu to 1.2ghz max and 100mhz min. conservative governore. i have yet to find a set up to use while the screen is locked with no issues. what i do know is galaxy s phones only like the conservative setting. maybe a 400mhz max 100mhz min with conservastive governore would work?
Make sure setcpu is set to conservative. I set my lowest to 200mhz and max at 1200. No issues here other than sometimes the notification pull down bar is laggy but it does that stock anyway.

I'll try out those settings tomorrow. Thanks guys =)
Any1 know how to get to 1.4 ghz? my max is 1.2 on setCPU and i have voodoo kernel flashed

There's a kernal that allows you to hit 1.4ghz its the overclocked one from baked snacks

The rom don't control the cpu speeds. The kernal does. You cab run any rom kernal combo you would like. In order to hit the 1.4ghz you want you need to run a kernal that is capable of doing so

Is SetCPU really necessary anymore? If you run a kernel that's not locked into performance mode it will scale on it's own even without SetCPU. I haven't installed it on my Epic yet and when monitoring the phone with SystemPanel I see my CPU go down to 200mhz when idle and scale up when processes are running.
Where is the kernel for 1.4? I have baked snack rom max is 1.2 i know kernel is the part that "controlls" speed but I'm stuck. Any help

I've been trying to UV my phone to save some battery. I generally keep:
Max: 1080 MHz
Min: 384 MHz
smartass or on demand
However every time I reopen SetCPU it's actually at:
Max: 1080 MHz
Min: 1080 MHz
The governor is sometimes what I save it as...sometimes something else.
I'm currently on Juggernaut (Bullet kernel) but The same problem occurred on Bombadier (Synergy kernel) also.
Any help please?
*Edit
I used to have an SGS Vibrant but never had this sort of problem so I'm a bit confused

Don't use SetCpu. Use the Faux clock listed in the juggernaut thread. It does a great job both with clock speeds and undervolting.
Still have about 20% left after 17hours using 384-1512 lagfree with 384-384 offscreen and -25mv

i ran into this issue and discovered that busybox was no installed properly thus causing this problem.
grab from the market "busybox installer" and make sure you have it installed properly.

Did this, just rebooted. Fingers crossed.
Using nenamark2 as a test when I normally test I get in the 26-27 FPS range using leankernal however opening and or setting any clocks in setcpu will lower my score to no more than 20.5 FPS.

By setting any clocks, do you mean raising the maximum clockspeed? Testing has shown that overclocking to 1.3 or 1.42GHz can actually harm performance on some SGNs.
No, I mean any changes. Even setting it to 1200 MHz will cause the performance hit.

My phone keeps moving the setting on cpu, it's set for 1.5 to 348mhz but when I back out it goes to 1.5 to 1.3 and my battery been dying so fast I ready factory reset my phone but still happens not running no custom kernel
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Are you saying its going from 1.5 to 1.3 as the max or the min? What are you using to adjust these parameters?
The CPU is designed to range from 96Mhz all the way to 2.1 GHz depending on the kernel. Stock is 384 MHz to 1.5 GHz. The CPU with adjust according to load. The real way to see what the CPU is actually doing is to install CPU Spy from the market.
You need to provide the kernel your using, the ROM, if its ICS or JB. You can't be on stock

im trying to set 1.5 to 348 min. but when i set and back out it goes to 1.5 to 1.3 min. im on serenity 1.2 rom and i just flashed ktoonsez kernel to see if it will stick now and it doesnot and im on Jb
Are you using ktweaker to set the values? It comes with the ktoonz kernel. And make sure it has root permissions as well.
Also install the app I mentioned from the play store (free) and see if your phone is going to "deep sleep".

i did try that ktweaker in that app it says 1.5 to 348 min but in other apps it says1.5 to 1.3 or 1.5 to 1.5 and yes it says deep sleep 4%
You might not have a problem after all. As long as the CPU is scaling from the 1.5 to 384, your phone is running fine.

deep sleep means your radio, 3g, wifi etc all pretty much shut off. The only things that 'wake' them up to sync and check email etc are 'wakelocks'.
Your phone shouldn't be in such a high cpu range unless your using an app. My guess is an app wakelock is out of control and forcing your phone to do this. If you are on a ktoonsez kernel or rom go and lock the cpu frequencies at about 918mhz. When you lock frequencies it won't go as high, but the problem of a background app setting off wakelocks won't go away
Get bettery battery stats for bettery results
Be sure to thank me!

My phone goes into deep sleep it does not have wake locks problems. My problem is in my set cpu app it says 1.5 to 1.5 min it won't let me stick anything and I just won't back to stock and had to root again and download set cpu again and it says 1.5 to 1.5 min I though maybe it was a rom but it's still doing it idk if it's just the app doing that

Hello
I'm currently using a note2core asylum kernel which supports both cpu and gpu overclocking. My question is, how do I go about overclocking the gpu? Any help will be appreciated.

Don't need that overclock note 2 is an excellent phone more than a phone...my oppinion
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I know. Its all for.research purposes anyway
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I'm not sure if note2core supports stweak but that's the app you need to over clock. There are other but I prefer this one. It will give you a maximum slide to 1800mhz and also tons of other features such as adjusting charging amp, under volting including for the gpu as well. There's not much to know about over clocking as its pretty straight forward but you can change the xpu governor and the number of cores you want activated and how you want them to activate based on your usage. Under volting will help with both temperature and battery life although I find the changes almost insignificant, but you should try it out. If you want to undervolt start with around - 25mv.
Sent from the rabbit hole.
You are talking about cpu not gpu
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Okay it's not that different. Just over clock it and undervolt at the same time to - 25mv and then download an app called stabilitytest from play store. Run it for 10minutes and see if you get any error. If not then further lower the voltage to - 50mv. But usually - 25 is good. I noticed that anything higher clocks peed than 5xxmhz starts causing error and graphic glitches.
Sent from the rabbit hole.
Tried it. Note2core not supported
