The "invalid context during scan" is a known issue. Looks like they're on it.

Android security is tight not even a water drop can get by idk why you would need this program...

Just clear data... And it will update virus definitions... Had the problem this morning and now is working fine... Most settings were retained.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
There's no need to clear data. Just manually update Avast and the warnings will disappear on the next scan, as per the thread TallCan211 links to. Phew!! :victory:
I did try to manually update on wifi and 3g and was throwing an error message... Something like the previous download was corrupted andit would not let me update.

I received a notification in the status bar to upgrade to the newest market. I clicked on it and was taken to a site I had never heard of before - wrappio.com. After looking at the site and reading some stuff online it looks like borderline spyware / spam to me. Needless to say I am not too happy about it. I have not installed any suspect .apk files and only downloaded apps from the market. I am running Juggs 4.1 along with the ICS theme / Darkside theme.
Can anyone tell me where this might have come from?
Thanks, in advance.
I see that type of issue alot with my customers that stop into the store. Download lookout or avg. One of your apps is causing that issue it happened to me with mp3 download pro. All kinds of odd notifications were popping up.

The app didn't find anything for me. I am having the same issue. The wrappio thing wanted my phone number and I stupidly provided it.

Same thing with me but I was able to use Addon Detectors app from the market and that was able to detect the app, it was bloat freezer for me that had the air push ads... Uninstalled it, problem solved.

Thanks. It was Bloat freezer-free. I will just stick with Titanium to freeze my apps.

Friggin' Bloat Freezer. I've had it for a long time too. It just started the Wrappio push recently.

Anyone having an issue with Facebook and trying to make a post or update their status? I've tried numerous times and it keeps saying "Can't update status at this time". Very weird :S Obviously, the mobile site works perfectly, but it lacks spell check unfortunately.
works fine here.
Also, I used to have that problem w/ browser.. but I get spellcheck again. Using SwiftKey X
No problems here.. try going into settings>apps>downloads and wipe the cache/data for facebook. If that doesn't work try a fresh install.

The most obvious question here when receiving this message are you verifying that you have a data connection? Does the issue persist on both wifi and 3g?
Do you mean that you can make posts on other peoples statuses but not post your own? If so are you still receiving the same error message?
What happens when you try to share content from an app (e.g browser)?
What happens when you try and make a post on g+?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA premium App
I tried both on WiFi and 3G. I can't make status updates but I can comment on other statuses. I can also make G+ posts.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I take it no one knows what I can do? I've heard the GNex is having a few issues with Facebook because FB isn't using the latest APK. Anyone else have any suggestions?
Do you use any virus/malware programs, thoughts and recommendations?
I've never been a mobile security using kinda guy. I've tried lookout before and never saw the point besides being able to locate a lost phone. Which I have never needed. So I just ended up uninstalling it.
My dad recently felt the need to show off his new mobile security suit and tell me all the features (I forgot what it was, but lookout did all the same things he mentioned to me)
Has anyone had a security program detect a major threat?
Considering I keep more important info on my cell than my laptop my dad got me thinking maybe I need one of these...
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
I use lookout for security and the locator. I doubt I'll ever need it but it pays to be safe. I've never had a threat detected but once again you never know. Instead of asking why bother, perhaps say "why not?"

Second that Avast. used nq security for a year but it qut updating virus protection so been with Avast ever since.
I'm wary of what I download. And always keep backups and change my passwords often. Though I do use Lookout for GPS tracking, I however disable the file scanning function.

I've never heard of a single case of a mobile virus but it's possible to inject malware via an app I'm very careful about what I download.. I never use any mobile security apps.
I did hear about people being able to steal your info from your phone by NFC.. All they have to do is come close enough to your phone with an nfc tag and it can automatically direct you to a Site where it automatically downloads something malicious to your phone . It's very unlikely to happen but the only way to prevent that is keep nfc off..

NFC agree
Virus there have been some recent reports, but I use the term virus loosely.
Kaspersky used on pc gave free mobile subscription key. So I said why not

It would be simple to fix the NFC thing.. Just make it so it's not automatic and you need to OK it to continue.. I don't think it would be any more of a hassle

I use Dr. Web it scans any app that I download and gives a notification according to the results. There are only 2 times it has ever found anything was once on my mt4g I used an apk to help root the phone. Because of the nature of the apk dr Web reported it as malicious. I knew that it wasn't so no biggie. The other time was a couple months ago when gosms was under fire for recording info from your chats/texts gosms had an update that started the controversial info collection. When I downloaded the update Dr Web reported the app was malicious. So I simply did not update. Otherwise all is quiet.

in MIUI rom you can block individual app permissions.. Pretty good security feature if you ask me
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I would use some sorts of mobile security. Better safe than sorry.
So I flashed a bunch of roms over 2-3 days trying to find something different that I'd like. Now no matter what I try, I can't get this to go away.
I've searched and experimented for the past 2 days and I can't get anywhere.
-clear app cache
-clear app data
-remove updates
-format sd card
-factory reset phone
-turn off location services
-turn off wifi
-try new apn
-install stock rom
-install various other roms
-delete cache, permissions, etc
-different gmail accounts
-sign out, reboot, sign in
I've literally tried everything out there that I can find by searching. The last thing I haven't done that I will have to try if I can't do anything else is to "un-root" my phone back to stock.
The weird thing is if I Check the play store, it says apps are installed. But they aren't.
Any one out there have any ideas?
Going back to stock won't fix it either. It a problem on googles end.

I'm having the same issue. I'm not rooted or anything. I can download certain apps no problem but can't update any. I tried almost everything you did and nothing worked. I even took it to att and was told it's an issue with Google. You can always download a vpn app from the play store and you'll be able to download with no errors. I use hideninja Vpn.

It allows you to change your location to france, Canada or wherever which in turn changes your IP address. It doesn't change your location permanently of course, only while your connected to the app. I looked online for ways to fix the package file invalid error and this was one way posted. It definitely works if you have this annoying problem. I even went ahead and purchased the pro version of the app I posted. Lol.

I still have not fixed the issue. I was stuck on trying 2 to 3 apps that refused to work. Looking across the board, I am able to download probably 80% of the apps that I try. Nothing has allowed me to get the other 20% that refuse to work so far.
I've tried the VPN app....I don't think there is anything else out there on my end that I can do. It's weird, I can download 5 apps in a row, then one app will give me the error, then I can keep on chugging if I choose a different app.
its happenning to alot of people, myself included...no big deal, as no app is "life critical"...
when google gets it fixed, it will be back to business as usual, so just be patient

Done. But no use. 2 more screenshots..
I have had the same annoying pop-up ads that looked like this "your Android memory is too low, please clean it up" or something like that, when I pressed "OK" button I just was redirected to "Du Booster" app. So Ad-blocking app is your friend, and for me the best is Adaway.:good:
I had these starting yesterday. I just had to restore my phone to a backup in the end. I got rid of lots of apps and the aware ones didn't find anything

If you are not rooted the only option is to uninstall the app which is giving you the pop up. I don't know of any pop up blocker that doesn't require root

Yes... I am trying to do the same .. but unable to find the app that is causing it .. most of my apps installed are from reviews from top Android forums and few games only.
I have uninstalled almost 10 apps in suspicion .. but still can't trace the culprit.
Hurray... Finally got hold of the culprit.
It was named com.scloud.... (Didn't remember the full name)
Initially thought it was system app but when going thru all suspicious names found that there is an option to uninstall which is not available for sys apps.
After I installing it alk these ads are gone.
