I see that I am not the only person with this problem, but I have not found any solution for it.
Despite everything I do, I still continue to get a phone storage space is getting low. I have deleted all of my text messages, and several applications. When I use the disk usage program, it always points towards dialer storage using 20 + MB. The options to clear the cache and clear the data are greyed out for me so I can't do anything like that. I am using MikG ROM. Any suggestions?

Guys, today after school I saw that all the statusses of my contacts were error: blablabla. I tried to refresh (in whatsapp) with no luck.
After receiving the following message, and after forwarding it to 18 ppl, i refreshed again to look if it would work.. It did work. The statusses of my contacts were back. I am just posting this here for you guys to get the statusses back. I am NOT trolling, I tested it on my phone, my sisters phone and my dads phone. I know the blue icon and red icon doesn't make sense without an app update or something like that, but the point is, after forwarding the message i got my statusses back!!( of my contacts!)
The message:

Well ironically my contacts have "Error: status unavailable" on all of them, but no problems sending and receiving messages. Its probably just a server error.
Well, I just did a refresh and all status's are back to normal.
LOL.
Deleted these craps from my WhatsApp inbox and all my status were back.

For the same reason millions of books and websites and blogs and posts are written that are full of nonsense.
Hint: correlation does not imply causation.
The email app used to display all the colors and formatting (such as table) perfectly. But it doesn't now.
I have done 3 things before I noticed this change. (1) applied the 4.1.2 OTA, (2) did a factory wipe/reset, (3) rooted. I did (2) for the sake of starting clean which I so regret now. I doubt rooting has anything to do with it. I'm guessing the OTA changed the email app behavior. If anyone has any clue, please help. Thanks

I found the reason. There's nothing wrong with the email client. It just doesn't display formatting for emails it searches and fetches from the server. If it's an email that's sync'd to the phone already, it displays the formating fine.

Just out of the blue it will crash and I have to restart. Been going on for a couple weeks now. I've cleared data, I've reset phone aand I just reflashed the rom yesterday. I'm running the stock rooted rom. Been on that for entire time.
Something else I can mention about this, even though it doesn't crash always when I'm getting a pic. Friend sends me a pic. I see the pic and another that falied to download. I click download and poof. Mms crash. I restart and get a seperate text thread saying something about invalid message. I've since lost the ss I took of it.
Just to see one time it crashed I went into the market and installed textra. It loaded and worked fine but wouldn't pull Mms history. Restart to clear the Mms out of failure then uninstall/reinstall textea and then it pulled all my history from Mms.
I'm sure I can go on and on about this ....
I'm confused why all of a sudden when its been fine for a long long time

Messaging app still crashing and its really pissing me off. When I open messaging it shows all my history for a millionth of a second then shows the no messages screen. You know just the envelope in the middle of the screen.
Is there a moddified secmms I can try. Maybe something pulled and modded for use on the note 2. Even If I have to download a whole rom and pull it myself.
Anyone have any suggestions other than using a play store app

I was just poking around and noticed my other storage section is almost 16gb. Why would it be so high and what can I do to get it down. I've cleaned cache and deleted emails etc.

Ya I've never found out why kine says 12gb idk
Could be your nandroid backups. Thats what accounts for almost all my other category.
